Apparently, everybody doesn't believe that one flagship per year is enough! The recently released P9 is the king of Huawei smartphones right now, but it is about to be dethroned as Huawei plans to release the Mate 9 by the end of 2016. Phone Arena adds that a late 2016 release is an educated guess because the Mate 8 was indeed revealed towards the end of 2015.
The rumored Kirin 960 SoC will power the device, placing it above the P9, which sports the Kirin 955 chipset. Expectations from the camera department are very high as the rumored 20-megapixel dual sensors at the back will presumably be designed by Leica, who had helped Huawei earlier to build the P9's camera setup as well.
Huawei has never exactly skimped out on power when it comes to the Chinese manufacturer's top-tier handsets, so we expect the Mate 9 to be packed to the gill with the latest hardware. At this point though, it is too early to predict other specifications of the device because even the prototypes are probably not ready yet. Nonetheless, we expect at least 4GB of RAM (if not 6GB) to accompany the Kirin 960, along with a powerful battery, a large display and a next-gen fingerprint sensor.

We reported before that Google is working on a major update to its Google Chrome browser for Desktop. Now, Google has released Chrome 45 for desktop, which is now available to download on PC, Mac, and Linux. The biggest change in this update is improved RAM management, which reduces the memory usage of idle tabs in the background.
Chrome can now check on tabs in the background and can tell if there is no activity on them for a while. It will then aggressively clear unused memory to reduce the memory footprint of those tabs. Google claims it can free up about 10% memory on an average and as much as a quarter for sites like Gmail, which will get you to notice a major performance improvements.
However, You won't lose your current status, Chrome will also intelligently restore your tabs upon relaunch, if you use that feature. Chrome for Desktop v45 is now available to download using the link below.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 was launched in 4 different colors (White, Black, Blue and Gold Platinum) and they all will be available in stock by April,10th. Now, Samsung UK's web site lists the Galaxy S6 in five colors, instead of the official four.
The fifth option is "Dark Brown", it also cannot be clicked and disappears if you navigate away from the specific page in the source link. There isn't even an image of the device in Brown.
So, publishing the Brown color option was certainly a mistake. Its existence might be for real though. There's no trace of it on other local Samsung sites, suggesting it may be a UK carrier exclusive. The Galaxy S6 edge does not have a fifth color either, at least not yet.

Today, Samsung launched Two new colors for its latest flagship devices, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. both devices are already available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire and Gold Platinum color variants... the Korean giant decided to add two new Exclusive colors.
The First color is "Blue Topaz" which is exclusive to the Galaxy S6 Only, the 2nd color is "Green Emerald" which is exclusive to the Galaxy S6 Edge Only.
As expected, these new color schemes will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB guise. Exact launch date for those colors will vary by region.

After lots of teasing, Today, Samsung has announced the Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man Limited Edition, a very special Galaxy S6 edge designed in collaboration with Marvel.
The Iron Man-themed Galaxy smartphone is dressed in red and gold, has 64 GB of internal memory, and will be offered in a box containing a matching wireless charging pad. A clear cover that enhances its "exclusive design" is also included. You can check out the handset in the photos on this article or the video embedded below.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man Limited Edition will be launched on May 27 in South Korea, and next month in China and Hong Kong. The company didn't mention other markets, which might leave many Iron Man fans disappointed. The price of the S6 edge Iron Man Limited Edition wasn't unveiled, but it's probably higher than the price of a regular S6 edge 64 GB.
Samsung said nothing about an Iron Man edition of the Galaxy S6, which might mean that the curved S6 edge is the only one that's getting the superhero treatment.

As expected, Huawei has made it official that the Mate 8 will be released as the company's most advanced flagship smartphone. In accordance with what was teased before, this device is powered by the Chinese firm's latest Kirin 950 SoC with octa-core CPU and Mali T880MP4 GPU, and features a 6-inch FHD IPS display.
For those who are still in the dark, the Kirin 950 chipset comes with four high-power Cortex-A72 cores, clocked at up to 2.3 GHz and an additional four power-saving Cortex-A53 ones, clocking at 1.8 GHz.
There's also an i5 coprocessor that "supports speech recognition, low-power consumption MP3, all the functions of a sensor hub, fused location provider (FLP) navigation, and reduces location-based power consumption," as per the statement given by the company in a press release. The SoC is manufactured by following TSMC's 16 nm FinFET process. Made from aerospace-grade aluminum and 2.5D curved diamond cut glass, the Mate 8 also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of camera, the smartphone has Sony's latest IMX298 16MP sensor at the rear end and an 8MP snapper on the front.
There will be three versions of the Mate 8, based on RAM and storage. Here's the breakdown:
- 3GB RAM/32GB storage: 2999 CNY ~ $470
- 4GB RAM/64GB storage: 3699 CNY ~ $580
- 3GB RAM/128GB storage: 4399 CNY ~ $690
The press release reveals that the handset is currently available in China. The international availability details will be made public at CES in January next year.

If you love to play video games on smartphones, Black Shark has specifically designed another phone for you. The series includes a total of two smartphones - called Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro. Unlike its rival ASUS ROG phone 5 series, the Black Shark 4 comes with a minimal and sleek design. However, it still features new mechanical shoulder buttons, which take advantage of magnetic power-lifting. The phone features a simple gradient rear panel and a horizontally-aligned triple camera system. Also, the gradient on the rear side is similar to HONO X series smartphones.
The vanilla Black Shark 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC along with 12GB RAM whereas, the Black Shark 4 Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and uses 16GB RAM. The device features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 1080x2400 pixels super AMOLED display with eye protection certification and 144Hz refresh rate. The phone support dual-SIM, 5G (only single SIM at a time), WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, QZSS, A-GPS), and NFC for connectivity.
Black Shark 4 devices are powered by a massive 4,500mah battery that comes with 120W fast chagrin and two USB Type-C ports. The phone runs on JOYUI 12.5 based on Android 11 with tons of gaming features out of the box. Other features of the Black Shark 4 series include dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Z-axis linear vibration motor, and a liquid cooling system to prevent the device from overheating when playing video games.
The devices in Black Shark 4 comes in five different colors - Magic Mirror Black, Ink Sea Black, Lingguang Gray, Storm Blue, Sakura dance pink. The phone measures 163.83 x 76.35 x 9.9mm in dimensions and weighs 210g. The smartphone is currently up for pre-order in China and will be available for sale on March 26 in the country. As of now, Black Shark is yet to confirm the release date worldwide.

After the launch of the HTC One M9, HTC Today has updated its Blinkfeed Laucnher in the play store with a complete new look and rebranding it to "Sense Home". The update brings Sense 6 users a bit closer to the Sense 7 UI.
Sense Home now integrates HTC Themes App, one of the features that debuted on the One M9, allowing users to create custom themes in order to give their phone a personal touch. Colors, fonts, icons and sounds all these can be changed. Besides creating their own themes from scratch, users can also browse and download high-quality designs from the app's catalog. Sense Home widget is another novelty: based on your location, the widget automatically shows your most frequently used apps.
You can download the new Sense Home on the HTC One M8, as well as on the two-year old HTC One M7. However, not all features are available for the M8 and M7, as they require Sense 7 UI (which has yet to be released for the two handsets).

Samsung disappointed quite a few buyers by limiting the Samsung Galaxy Note 5's storage at 64GB. It added to the frustration, as there was no miscoSD slot in the flagship device. The company has unveiled a special Winter Edition Galaxy Note 5, the only Note smartphone with 128GB of internal storage.
The new Note 5 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super Amoled display and inclusion of the stylus can make this note a threat to the Apple's iPhone 6S Plus, which already comes in a 128GB variant and features a 5.5-inch screen. But, the Winter Edition needs to connect with consumers outside of Korea to boost the Samsung's sluggish sales numbers.
This device is powered by company's own Exynos 7420 octa-core SoC, Mali-T760 MP8 GPU, and backed by 4GB of RAM.. But, note that the microSD slot is still not available. Other features include a 16-megapixel snapper in the back with OIS (f/1.9 aperture), a 5-megapixel camera in the front. The battery will be non-removable and it'll be of 3000 mAh.
It can connected via 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, and other standard connectivity option. This winter edition will also have a fingerprint scanner. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Winter Special Edition is available at KRW 999,900 and is being sold via SKT and KT mobile carriers.

As expected and rumoured earlier, the next iterations of the Samsung Galaxy On5 and On7 are out now, but they are not called "2016 Editions" like we expected. Instead, Samsung has dubbed the two smartphones as Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro. Both the phones are exclusive to India just like their predecessors, but will sport better hardware (only slightly so) and software.

We were disappointed to see that the processors on both the devices have not been upgraded, in spite of them being dated now. Then again, that's what we have come to expect from budget Samsung devices anyway!

Samsung Innovation Labs are working on some exciting new projects beyond the curved-edge displays. A Samsung official revealed that the company has started using its flexible / bendable display technology to start creating create a foldable Smartphone, that can be folded like a wallet allows combining between the two form factors of any phone (large screen and compact body).
The new flexible screen tech has four phases: curved, bent, foldable and rollable. The first two are already a reality, the third one is coming soon while the last one holds promise of displays that are stored like roller blinds.
Another report from a Korean new website, says that Samsung will unveil a Flexible and Foldable Tablet by the End of this year (2015). Although this report contradicts Samsung's revelation in an analyst conference in 2013 about foldable devices to be available by 2016-17, industry watchers now foresee the said devices to hit the market by 2015.

Earlier this year, We reported that Samsung is rumored to be working on a foldable Tablet and Smartphone, codenamed "Project V". It looks like that these rumors turns out to be true, as a newly published patent (No. 30-0757696) from the company has surfaced online, revealing a tablet display that could fold up to two times, effectively forming a single device.
In the Patent, it isn't clear enough how the device's display would work in its unfolded form but it looks like all three parts will be connected together as a screen to display wide-screen video.
It's worth mentioning that this is a design registration patent, meaning it shows the actual look of a hypothetical device, which may or may not turn into reality. Samsung filed it back in November 2013, and the Korean Intellectual Property Office published it yesterday.
We should see these foldable products in the markets by the end of this year. The price is expected to be high considering the technology used on manufacturing such devices.

Samsung has just released the first official teaser video for the Galaxy Note 8 and you can check it out above or directly at YouTube if you wish. It isn't the most revealing teaser we have ever seen from Samsung, but it's a good reminder that the first Note device after 2015, that you will (hopefully) be able to buy without worrying about it exploding on you is about to come into limelight in less than ten days from now. In case you didn't know already, Samsung will be unveiling the Note 8 at a Samsung exclusive even in NYC on August 23.
If you have been following us (which you most definitely should), then you already know what the Galaxy Note 8 will look like, if not, then take a look at some of the leaked live images here. The internals are no secret either with them being different from the Galaxy S8+ only in terms of the rear camera (the Note 8 will sport dual cameras), perhaps the RAM and of course, the famous S-Pen. What will be interesting to see at the event is the price at which Samsung decides to launch the Note 8 in the US. We have heard that it could cross the $1,200 mark in some countries like India! We will find out soon enough.

In a brand new rumor, it is being stated that the Galaxy S9 will see release much earlier than its predecessor, the Galaxy S8. The report comes from The Bell and it states that this will happen because Samsung will likely get hold of all the OLED panels it needs by November 2017. Naturally, this will speed up the production process for the company, enabling them to release the Galaxy S9 as early as January 2018.
If you ask me though, that isn't very likely. That is not to say that Samsung can't do that if they wanted to, it's just that it would be a very strange move with virtually no business sense in it whatsoever. The Note 8 will be released to the public next month and if the Galaxy S9 was released in just four months' time after that, it would not be a very strategic release date. We would bet our money on Samsung sticking to its April - May timeline just like this year. Nevertheless, it is good news that Samsung will have everything ready by January because that means the OEM will have even more time to perfect the Galaxy S9 and its rumored modular design.
Saikat Kar (tech-enthusiast)

We all know that Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in roughly a month's time (February 25), but what we did not know before today's leak is the exact release date for the two upcoming flagship smartphones from Sammy. According to a leak made public by Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter), the S9 line-up will start making their way onto public hands from March 16. As far as we can tell, what you see here is very likely a leaked image sheet that Samsung had prepared for the press release. Do check out the accompanying images of the S9 and S9+ as well. Not that we are seeing anything new here mind you.
If you are wondering what this date means exactly, you are in the same boat as us. It doesn't specify any regions in particular, but it does mean that the release date for all the major regions, including the US should be roughly around the same time. Now, the question is, if you already have a Galaxy S8, will you be upgrading or waiting it out till the S110 or S10+ arrives in 2019?

Samsung had to deal with a huge blow last year as their soon-to-be head, Lee Jae-Yong got arrested with charges of bribery and assistance in corruption. It was almost inevitable as this scandal had then impeached the South Korean President herself, alongside some of the nation's most powerful figures. Nevertheless, the rulings of the court have now been overturned and Lee Jae-Yong's prison sentence has been suspended by the High Court, in answer to his appeal. It is to be noted that the Vice-Chairman of Samsung continued to deny all charges held against him and the High Court found him only guilty of "passive compliance to political power."
It is expected that Lee Jae-Yong will have to defend his case once again at the Supreme Court, since the ones that prosecuted the billionaire are probably going to take that final step. Nevertheless, as of this moment, Yong is back and will probably resume his position at Samsung once again for the time being.
Saikat Kar (tech-enthusiast)

Samsung's Galaxy S9 and S9+ handsets are almost on the verge of being released now, but surprisingly enough, we have not yet seen too many live images of the two devices yet; something that has not happened in the recent past. While not having enough leaks is not Samsung's problem, they have indeed just released brand new teaser videos in South Korea. If you have not checked the three teasers out yet, feel free to do so now.
All the teasers are 15-seconds long and as we expected, doesn't really show us much at all. However, there is a little hint regarding the animated 3D emojis (aka Apple's Animojis) about which ETNews reported just yesterday. Also, the low light capabilities of the f/1.5 aperture on one of the S9+'s camera seems to be the focus in one of the ads. It's all marketing though as we don't really see the real device. What do you see in the teasers? Did we miss anything obvious? Let us know in the comments if you see anything new.

Samsung has always been enthusiastic about the Olympics, given their partnership with the largest athletic event on the planet. Although the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games are more than a year away at this point, the smartphone giant has already released a Galaxy S10+ Olympic Games Edition in Japan.
Personally, I never understood the gimmicks here, especially since the "Olympic Editions" by Samsung never has had anything too special about them unfortunately. On top of that, the early release makes no real sense, given that by the time the Olympics actually begin in Tokyo, the S11+ (or whatever they choose to call it) will already be out and about.
Well, if you fancy having a logo of the Olympics imprinted on the back of your smartphone for an even more premium price than what the regular S10+ costs, we are sure Samsung will also release it in the US at some point.

Samsung is reportedly rolling out November's security patch and updates to the Samsung Galaxy devices including this year's Samsung Galaxy S20. The security patch is meant to overcome several serious security vulnerabilities in the Android OS. The Android security bulletin, published on Nov 2, 2020, contains details on security vulnerabilities affecting Android devices and not just the Galaxy devices.
If you own one of the Galaxy devices, you will be getting the new software update automatically which improves the stability of the camera app, Wi-Fi connectivity, and also includes several other security updates. We highly recommend you to install the new security update as it addresses all of the high or critical vulnerabilities known so far. If you leave it without updating, your phone could be exploited by a hacker to achieve remote code execution, privilege escalation, or denial of service. The new update patches several problems being discovered in the operating system's core framework, media framework, and system.
Two important bugs existed in the framework, two high-risk escalation bugs, a high severity information disclosure bug, and finally a high severity DoS bug. The security update also patches one critical and one high remote code execution bug in Android's media framework as well as one high severity escalation of privilege bug and one moderate one. The patch works on 4 bugs, one escalation of privilege bug, one DoS bug, and one critical remote code execution bug. For the owners of Galaxy S10 5G, the latest update is due in a few days.

The app has an extensive list of features, themes, and layouts, to group events together and various other customization options. The design of the app and widget is super clean and works in over half a dozen languages.

The app is free for right now. It does the basic email, snooze email, schedule email, and reminders just like inbox by Gmail. Some other features include pinning emails, undo sent email, and a decent email search. It can also work with other email clients like Gmail or Outlook.
Xbox Game Streaming
Google launched Stadia this year, and its major rivals choose mobile streaming. Microsoft and Stream launched its game streaming apps this year. Both apps do almost the same thing. You can play your PC games or Xbox games on your device.
