OnePlus has officially announced that it will be using its fast warp charge technology for the next flagship smartphone. That's to say, the OnePlus 8T will have a 65W warp fast charging adapter in the box. The company has confirmed the news via a press release it recently released and states that warp charge 65 will be able to fully charge the 4,500mAh battery in the OnePlus 8T in less than 40 minutes.
The OnePlus 8T won't be a case of ‘A day's power in half an hour' but would upgrade to a day's power in 15 minutes. A lot of the speed delivered by these fast chargers is achieved in the first 0 to 70 percent of the charge. Specifically, OnePlus claimed that you will be getting from 0 to 58 percent within 15 minutes of charge. That's almost double the speed the warp charge 30 offered with the OnePlus 8.
As we all know that OnePlus' warp charge and Oppo's VOOC charge has been the same charging technology. It is safe to say that this 65W charging is quite similar to the 65W super VOOC charging that is used in the Oppo Find X2 Pro. To achieve such a fast charging technology without heating up the smartphone too much, the company uses a battery that's manufactured using the two individual cells, or rather, its two smaller 2,250mAh batteries to make the total 4,500mAh capacity.
OnePlus has verified that each battery can charge at 30W speeds simultaneously while the design of the adapter and cable ensures that the device doesn't get overheated. It has a built-in temperature sensor to monitor the internal temperature of the phone as it charges and adapts the speed of the phone is about to overheat. The OnePlus 8T is going to be unveiled on 14 October 2020, and you can read more about its leaks and rumors in the upcoming blog posts.
Huawei released the P40 series this year in April with a 5G phone as well. The cutting-edge Kirin 990 5G chip is super-fast and takes the user experience to the entire next level. But Huawei P40 Pro and Pro plus are just too expensive for some users. The Huawei P40 Pro with 256GB internal storage and 8GB RAM comes around $900. The higher-tier of smartphones in the series goes even higher in terms of price.
Now, the company decided to launch a new smartphone in the P40 series but that would be a more economical version of P40. The Huawei P40 lite 5G is an upgraded version of the Huawei P40 Lite that the company released in April 2020. The phone features upgraded silicon, a better camera equipped with AI software, and of course, 5G connectivity support.
The phone has a 6.5-inch LCD panel with HDR 10 support at Full HD+ resolution and has 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone is powered by the new HiSilicon Kirin 820 5G octa-core chipset compared to the Kirin 810 on the previous model. The phone features a quad camera setup on the rear side of the phone. The primary camera is of 64MP and uses Sony IMx582 sensor with f/1.8, the secondary camera is of 8MP wide-angle lens with f/2.4, the third camera is of 2MP super macro lens with f/2.4, and the fourth camera is of 2MP with depth sensor lens and f/2.4. The front camera can take up to 16MP photos with f/2.0. The phone has 6GB internal storage with 128GB RAM.
The phone has a 4,000mAh battery with a 40W proprietary fast-charging capability. This much battery is good enough for an average user to sustain his phone for more than 24 hours with a single full charge. You can charge your phone up to 70% in 30 minutes as per the company's official statement.
In terms of connectivity, the phone supports Bluetooth, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and 5G support. The phone comes running EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10. The design is similar to Huawei Nova 7 SE that was launched in China last month. The phone comes in three colors - Space silver, Crush green, and Midnight black. If you living in any part of Europe, you can pre-order the phone right now. The phone will go on sale starting on May 29 for a price of $430.

Recently, Oppo Reno 6 pro appeared on the Intertek certification website which confirms its near-to-launch status. The listing confirms that the phone is using a battery with fast charging capability of 65W. The phone is expected to be launched somewhere towards the end of May 2021 in mainland China. Earlier reports suggest that the phone will be using a 4,4000mAh battery with a dual-cell configuration.
Oppo Reno 6 series is expected to include three smartphones - the vanilla Reno 6, the Reno 6 Pro model, and Reno 6 Pro+. Some of the specifications of these phones have already been leaked thanks to their listing on TEENA and MIIT certification websites. The Pro model is reported to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1,200 processing chip whereas the Pro plus variant is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.
The Chinese tipster with the username Digitalstation has also shared TENNA listings of the phone on Weibo. The Pro model is seen to be listed with the model number PEMPPOO and Reno 6 Pro+ is listed with the number PENMOO. Oppo Reno 6 Pro features a 6.55-inch screen and runs on the Android 11 operating system and might pack a 4,500mAh battery that is good enough to keep your phone running the whole day. You can play games, browse YouTube for a longer duration of time without getting worried about battery drainage.
Other reports suggest that the Pro model will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone will be powered by a powerful Octa-core (2x2.2 GHz Kryo 360 Gold & 6x1.7 GHz Kryo 360 Silver) processor so that you can enjoy a seamless performance. The phone is expected to come with a 5G connectivity option and might include Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth - Yes, v5.0, and 4G (supports Indian bands), 3G, 2G. Moreover, sensors on the smartphone might include Accelerometer, Proximity, Compass. The Pro model is likely to be available for purchase for less than 30,000 INR and might come in Luminous black, Ocean blue, and Sunset pink colors.

Xiaomi is expected to announce its next Mi series flagship smartphone by February or March at max. Even though we don\'t have a confirmed official date or specs but there are recent amount of leaks that keep popping up here and there. A recent leak suggests that the phone is going to be called Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G and will likely to be unveiled on Feb 11. Now, a reputable leaker Weibo (via FoneArena) has uploaded some interesting images of possible Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G, revealing few exciting details about specifications.
The images reveal the upcoming flagship smartphone with High-resolution branding of the company and it will have a quad-camera setup at the rear side of the phone. As per the tipster on the same website Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will feature a high-resolution camera lens up to 108MP for the primary camera, just like the Mi Note 10 that Xiaomi launched last year. The surfaced images of the Mi 10 Pro show a curved display with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. There is a speaker grille at the top and bottom. As you can see from the images, there is no pop-up camera this time. We don\'t know from the images if the phone has an IR blaster or not, but we don\'t see any headphone port.
One of the images shows a 65W charger that means the Xiomi Mi 10 Pro 5G would be using the Oppo Reno Ace for the fast charging solution on Paper. There are no leaks about the battery size so far but we can assume that it could be around 3500mAh to 4000mAh. In the recent Snapdragon tech summit last month Xiamoi confirmed that the Mi 10 will be using the Snapdragon 865 chipset. So we can assume that the Mi 10 Pro 5G will be using the same chip. The images haven\'t been confirmed by official sources, so we can take these as another leak and wait for the day when it is finally released.

A new year just started and Xiamoi seems to have big plans for the year ahead. The company is looking forward to launching more than ten 5G smartphones this year, and the new MI 10 series is expected to be released soon enough. Xiaomi has already confirmed that they are working on the MI 10 series, and references to the Xiaomi MI 10 and MI 10 Pro were found in the MIUI 11 v20.16 code base. The model numbers for MI 10 and MI 10 Pro are M2001J2C and M2001J1C respectively. Recently, there were rumors about the price and specs for the two 2020 Xiamoi premium smartphones on the internet and possibly we also got a hands-on look at the premium variant. The MI 10 and MI 10 Pro seems to differ in terms of battery capacity, memory, and camera setup.
In the last week of January, a Weibo tipster uploaded pics of what they called is the Xiaomi MI 10 Pro 5G. The images and packaging suggest that this could be the name of the smartphone, and the images show a few possible design details about the upcoming device. From the images, we can see that the device will have a curved display with a camera cutout on the left-hand side and a curved glass back panel. It also looks like the handset could feature a quad-rear camera featuring a 108MP primary lens and speaker grills at the top and bottom of the device. We can't quite make out whether the phone has an IR blaster, but we don't see a headphone port.
The picture only shows a mobile phone in one color - deep electric blue. But there would be other color variants that may we know about shortly. The Xiaomi MI 10 is believed to be more affordable than any other phone in the series. As per leaked specs, the MI 10 could feature a 6.5-inch 90Hz OLED display. Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the device will be one of the first smartphones to use the Snapdragon 865 silicon, meaning it will support dual-model 5G network connectivity. The Xiaomi MI 10 is also expected to have a quad-camera setup, with a Sony IMX686 sensor leading the pack. This is the same 64MP sensor featured on the Redmi K30. The other lenses are said to be including a 20MP lens, a 12MP telephoto sensor, a 5MP snapper, and hopefully a 30X digital zoom.

Realme has come a long way since early 2018 as the Xiamoi subbrand. The company focused on budget-friendly phones and then moved to the higher-end smartphones that have proved to be quite successful so far. Realme launched its first flagship device last year, known as Realme X2 Pro, and now they have launched their first 5G smartphone - the Realme X50 Pro 5G.
The Realme X50 Pro 5G has an all-metal casing with a quad-camera system on the rear side along with a bezel-less display. On the front, you can see a dual-camera cut-out. This may seem like a repeated design but maybe the company didn't want to do much experiment with the look. The back cover is available in Rust Red and Moss Green colors. The phone seems pretty thick for many, but the additional thickness may not bother you as it feels quite comfortable in the hands. There is a pair of front-facing speakers that are pretty good in terms of quality. The phone has an extra in-display optical fingerprint scanner for security.
The Realme X50 is one of the first devices in the market to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The processing chip is launched back in December of 2019 and offers almost 25% greater performance than its predecessor Snapdragon 855, and even more power-efficient than the Snapdragon 855. The Adreno 650 GPU follows a similar approach with a 20% faster image rendering when compared to the older version.
The device also comes with a charging brick that lets you charge your phone from 0 to 100 percent in less than 40 minutes. Leave it on charge for ten minutes and you are good to go for a few hours. The phone tends to heat up a bit when charging but it cools down pretty quickly. The only con you can say here is not-so-long battery life. You may have to charge your phone more than once in a day if you are a heavy user.

As per reports, Realme may soon launch three smartphones with model numbers RMX2121, RMX2176, and RMX2200 / RMX2201 have been certified by TENAA authority of China. TENAA has full specs and images of the RMX2176 phone. However, the Chinese telecom regulatory body has little information on the specs of the phone. A reliable tipster from China reported some information on the upcoming Realme 8 series phones.
According to the tipster, the upcoming smartphone is a standard Realme series and a higher model. The first device has a 4,300mAh battery and the second has a 4,500mAh battery. Both phones support 65W fast charging. The phone is also reported to be lightweight with long battery life. The Flagship variant is only 4,500mAh and 65W all series that don't exceed 200g. The Realme series has taken a slim profile serious with only 8.xmm phone size. From the weight and slim profile of the unknown series, we can safely assume that the tipster isn't talking about the Realme X series or V5 series as the upper-end variants of these sires houses a larger 4,980mAh rated battery.
The RMX2176 has an AMOLED display with a hole-punch design. It also supports a full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor that comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. The phone available in China may come in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The phone has a 32-megapixel front camera with a quad-camera system on the rear side. The rear camera system includes a 64-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel, a 2-megapixel, and a 2-megapixel phone. The phone runs on the Android 10 operating system is expected to be released in blue, white, and symphony color options.

Almost every week, we heard about new technology coming to the mobile phone industry but mobile chargers are usually the least-focused area of these manufacturers. While we are still a long way off batteries that can survive more than a day without a need to re-charge, we do have the next best thing - super fast charging. Now Vivo has announced super flash charge 120W charging technology that can fully charge a 4,000mAh battery cell in just 13 minutes. Yesterday, Vivo uploaded a video on the Weibo page that demonstrates super flash charge in action without providing much detail of the full charge cycle. In the video, the charging went from 10 to 14 percent battery in just 16 seconds.
So far we have seen Xiaomi 100w charging technology in March but it hasn't reached to the consumer market even after three months. OnePlus 7 Pro's warp has a fast charging speed but Vivo's super flash charge is really insane. But it does rise a question about its impact on the battery life in the long run. Vivo may unveil its super flash charging technology at MWC Shanghai next week with its first 5G enabled smartphone. The competitors may make claim about its negative effect on the battery but that's what we have to see.
The other concern about the heating problem. With xiamoi's charger we have seen this problem. How Vivo manage the over-heating issue, and will this kind of charger can sustain for a long period of time? So far, the fastest charger available is with Oppo Find X Lamborghini edition which fully charge a 3,400mAh battery in 35 minutes.

Everyone knows that the tablet market has been declining every year for the last few years and the latest report by Strategy Analytics confirms it. Two of the biggest players in the game, Samsung and Apple have lost 0.1% and 2.6% market share respectively, in a YoY comparison between Q4 2015 and Q4 2016. In fact the global tablet shipment irrespective of the brand came down by 9% in the last quarter.
According to the report, Apple had managed to ship 13.1 million iPads in the last quarter, which is a 19% decline in shipment when compared to the 16.1 million iPads it managed to ship in Q4 2015. Samsung suffered a decline of 10% in shipment as the total number of tablets the company managed to ship in Q4 2016 came down to 8.1 million, from 9 million in Q4 2015. As per the report, Samsung occupies the third place in tablet market share with 12.8%, while Apple slips to the number two spot with 20.6%, despite losing a chunk of its hold on the market. If you are wondering who the number one tablet OEM is, it's the "White Box" vendors! Apparently, people have realized that watching YouTube, streaming NetFlix and playing casual games on a tablet is possible without spending 500 dollars on an expensive device.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ showcase an arguable design choice when it comes to the location of the fingerprint scanner. If you are a lefty, reaching it will be tough on a regular basis and even if you are a righty, you may end up smudging the camera lens much more than you may like to. However, as it turns out, the facial recognition feature is blazing fast in unlocking the phone on both the devices. While this does make up somewhat for the oddly positioned fingerprint scanner, the feature isn't as secure as we would have liked it to be.
The lack of security in using the facial recognition system was made apparent by a Twitter video uploaded by MARCIANOTECH (@MARCIANOPHONE). It seems that the Galaxy S8 smartphones are not impossible to unlock even when the face is different and that's not good news for a feature that Samsung has been advertising as one of the main attractions for the Galaxy S8. It is possible that Samsung will be able to fix it by the time the handsets are ready to be shipped to their customers, or maybe they can just release a software update later to take care of it. We will have to wait and see what happens.

Usually, new Android flagship smartphones prefer not to opt for the latest processing chip which is going to change for Pixel 5. The latest and most powerful processor by Qualcomm this year is Snapdragon 865. Samsung has installed the latest processing chip in its Galaxy S20 range for the U.S version and some Chinese manufacturers choose the do the same. But if rumors are to be believed, Google is going to use an older chip for its mid-range smartphone.
The Snapdragon 865 is certainly the fastest processor right now, but the chip is expensive and it also lacks an onboard modem. Qualcomm insists it is used in concert with the X55 modem to provide 5G connectivity. That means a more complicated internal design, which requires more physical space than an SoC that is integrated.
While sub-6 support comes as standard, the 5G network support is optional. These are the two leading 5G technologies right now. Despite having mmWave support for the plus and ultra models, Samsung decided to go without mmWave in the standard Galaxy S20. Google is using the next fastest chip - the Snapdragon 765G in Pixel 5. It is not fast as the latest chip but it does boast an integrated 5G modem. It's Qualcomm's first Soc with an integrated 5G modem that also supports sub-6 and mmWave. That means it requires far less space inside the device and has built-in support for 5G network connectivity. With the extra space left on the phone, Google may be able to fit a bigger battery in there or might tweak the sensor array to make the motion sensor more useful.
As the chip isn't expensive as the latest processor - you don't have to pay anything extra in the name of the small addition of speed. With the optimized software and UI, there isn't much need for the extra speed. Google has never been a hardware company and relies mostly on software to do its tricks. The pixel 3a is the perfect example of its capabilities that might be a beat or two slower than the flagship smartphones but can do clever things that other phones can't.

Last year Oppo introduced a super-fast charging technology called superVOOC. Oppo Reno Ace, launched in October 2019, was the first phone to come with 65W superVOOC 2.00 fast charging support. This new fast charging technology can fully charge the Reno Ace smartphone in just 25 minutes and goes from zero to 100 percent. The 65W fast charging launched earlier was much higher than what the competition was offering. While Vivo and Xiamoi also claim to develop 120W fast charging technology, they haven't started to use it in the mass production just yet.
Rumors suggest that the company is working on the development of the next-generation of SuperVOOC that will have a power output rating of 80W. That would be an instant increase of 18.75% over SuperVOOC 2.0's 65W. On the Chinese social media website Weibo, a Chinese blogger named Really Assen revealed that OPPO is going to launch SuperVOOC 3.0. He said, that it's been a long time for half an hour (the time it takes to charge with the SuperVOOC 2.0), it's still not fast enough, you have to cut it in half.
SuperVOOC 2.0 charges at 10V and 6.5. With SuperVOOC 3.0 OPPO will go with a higher voltage similar to what we already saw on the 120W Xiaomi charger. So SuperVOOC 3.0 chargers should have a voltage output of 20V and current output of 4A to achieve a maximum power output of 80W. We are expecting the technology to be launched at the end of next year. We don't know the date yet, but its predecessor technology was launched in October, so we can take the info with a pinch of salt until more solid evidence surfaces.

The Moto G8 Plus is the best possible experience at a budget price in the G-series. The G-series phones are considered the best inexpensive phones of the years now. The Moto G8 Plus has more premium features such as a versatile camera, stereo speakers, minimal bezel, and better battery management than its predecessor Moto G7 plus. Due to the rising competition in the same category, we have seen some premium features coming to budget phones. The latest phone brings in a 48MP triple camera system with fast charging as the main selling USB. But is it enough?
The Moto G8 is priced at $310. It has a plastic body and available in two colors - cosmic blue and crystal pink. The back panel has a gradient-like glossy finish, and the logo aligned in the middle. There is a volume button and unlock button at the right side, which the left side has a hybrid SIM card slot. On the top edge, there is a microphone and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The G8 plus is water repellent, but it is not the same as IP67 rated phone, so keeping it away from the water is always a good strategy.
Overall, there is nothing extraordinary about the design. The Moto G8 Plus has a slightly bigger screen than the G7 Plus at 6.3-inches. It is an IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and a U-shaped notch up top. The screen has 19:9 aspect ratio, which is decent for watching videos, as they're often in that ratio. The screen is topped with a layer of Panda Glass which is similar to the popular Corning glass solution for protection against drops. Moto G8 Plus is powered by a 4,000mAh battery, which is a pretty decent capacity even at the low-price tier of phones. You can last for a one day on a single charge with normal usage that includes being active on social media. The phone supports 15W fast charging and can fully charge in 150 minutes.

Mobile phones have come so far from the days of the Nokia 3310 that it almost seems unbelievable today. A concept like that of say the Galaxy S8 would have seemed like fan-fiction even a decade ago, but today it's a reality. Modern smartphones are essentially portable computers capable of doing most of the everyday tasks that was previously only possible for a PC or a Mac, and gaming is one of those things. Sure, the games are definitely not as hardcore or graphically intense as the ones designed for a console or a PC, but that's the beauty of it; they don't have to be. They are popular because they are relatively simple and you don't need a super-expensive and power-hungry PC/console and monitor/big screen TV combo to play them.
Expected Growth
If you had any doubts regarding how popular gaming on mobile phones has become, then consider the following statistics to clear those doubts for good.
• By the end of 2017, the gaming industry as a whole will reach a total worth of $108.9 billion
• Mobile games will account for 42% of that total market value by reaching $46.1 billion
• The stats will reflect a remarkable 19% YOY growth for the mobile gaming industry
• The share of the mobile gaming business could surpass 50% of the gaming industry's total worth by the year 2020
What is Fuelling this Rapid Growth?
There are so many factors contributing directly to this swift growth of the mobile gaming industry that it would be easier to explain if they were separated in specific points.
Mobiles are Cheaper
The Android revolution has made mobiles cheaper and since last year, even the most basic $100 phones have started to provide decent and playable gaming performances; something that was unthinkable even in 2014 or early 2015. Additionally, even a flagship smartphone like the Galaxy S8+ or the iPhone 7 Plus is significantly cheaper than a high-end gaming PC. You can argue that a console is cheaper but then you would have to consider the fact that they are typically gaming-only devices, while a smartphone is a portable console, a camera, a phone and so much more.
The Perfect Platform for Online Gamblers
Games like Sizzling Hot are extremely popular among online gamblers and a smartphone allows them to play all of their favorite slot and card games from anywhere in the world. In fact, most online casinos even have dedicated Android and iOS apps to make the experience even smoother for their patrons.
Wider Reach
Everybody has a smartphone now and that's one of the most important reasons as to why mobile gaming is the future. It is so much easier for app developers to reach their customers for that specific reason. Paying for apps, games, bets and in-app purchases are also much easier to do on the phone and surveys have confirmed that people prefer it that way.
Finally, we come to the last reason and that's not only related to the rise of the mobile gaming industry but it is also one of the premier causes responsible for the ever-increasing popularity of the smartphones themselves. They are just so much more comfortable to use than laptops or desktops! You can play games for hours on a phone while travelling or lying on the bed. As mobile phones continue to become more and more advanced with each passing year, they are more than likely to establish themselves as the future standard for portable gaming.

There has been a good amount of leaks about Moto G8 and G8 Plus specs by XDA-Developers. Now other leaks have been posted by 91Mobiles about its design. The renders have been reported of the vanilla Moto G8. The picture shows us how the front and back of the Moto G8 will look. It has a punch-hole cutout on the left side of the display, a vertically stacked triple camera system, and a fingerprint scanner located under the Motorola logo at the back side of the device.
The render also shows some details including a d3.5mm port at the top of the smartphone. There is a prominent chin and what seems to be macro and ultra-wide branding on the back side. These apparent Moto G8 renders look good enough to attract the attention of mobile users. The Moto G8 and G8 Plus share some features and hardware specs, such as both have a punch-hole display, a physical fingerprint scanners just below the rear Moto logo, a Snapdragon 665 processing chip, and Android operating system version 10.
The Mote G8 has a big 6.39-inch HD+ LCD display. It uses 2GB/4GB memory and 32GB/64GB storage. There is dual-SIM support in some regions but no NFC. The phone is also said to offer a 4,000mAh batter with 10W charging, making for a hefty upgrade over the Moto G7's 3,000mAh battery. The vanilla Moto G8 is rumored to have a triple rear camera, featuring a 16MP f/1.7 primary camera lens, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP f/2.2 macro lens. An 8MP camera in a punch-hole cutout is said to be available for taking selfies.
The phone is expected to offer a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. This would line up with an earlier FCC filing for a Moto phone with a 5,000mAh pack. The power device is said to have an identical camera layout compared to the vanilla G8 and might have a fourth camera lens for the depth or potentially a telephoto camera restricted to higher-end mobile devices. There is no price on the price range for the device yet, but hopefully, it is competitively priced to take on Nokia and Samsung.
