Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Note5 (5th Generation Galaxy Note). In this one, Samsung has dropped plastic completely for a metal and glass follow-up to the Galaxy S6. The bezels around the 5.7" screen are narrower, the phablet itself is almost a millimeter thinner making it easier to hold in the hand.
The Super AMOLED screen has QHD resolution as before, but the way it interacts with the S Pen stylus has been revamped. The stylus is clickable, though that only serves to get it out of its sheath. Once you do, you can start immediately taking a note even when the screen is "off" (with AMOLED the distinction is small).
As of the Specs, the Galaxy Note5 has 4GB of RAM, up from 3GB on both the Note 4 and Galaxy S6. This gives apps more playroom, but the Exynos 7420 chipset will have an even bigger impact it's currently the fastest mobile chipset on the market, Samsung didn't even need to overclock it as new competition is yet to catch up.
Storage is based on the fast UFS 2.0 standard. While it outruns regular eMMC 5.0 storage, data hoarders have been locked out of expanding the memory the base model has 32GB, you can upgrade to 64GB and that's it. No microSD slot, no 128GB option.
The camera is a 16MP sensor behind a wide f/1.9 aperture, plus optical image stabilization and auto real-time HDR. It can record 2160p video or livestream 1080p to YouTube. For selfies you get a 5MP sensor and an f/1.9 aperture. Samsung has updated the audio department with Ultra High Quality Audio, which promises "richer" sound. This feature will work over Bluetooth with new compatible Level On headphones.
The Galaxy Note5 checks wireless all boxes, but a highlight is Samsung Pay, which works over NFC or MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission). Pay will launch in the US in September so it will be ready when Note5 arrive in users' hands. Much like the storage, the battery has been sealed off. What's more the capacity dropped to 3,000mAh. Samsung is counting on Fast Charging both wired and wireless!
The Samsung Galaxy Note5 will be available for pre-order today, coming in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium. It will be available in the US on August 21st, with pre-orders starting today. You can go for a hands-on as soon as tomorrow in 7,000 locations across the US. Samsung latest flagship devices such as Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop that packs a whole New TouchWiz UX. The New User Interface adopts Google's Material Design even more.
In the New 2015 TouchWiz, Samsung updated all its default system apps, from music player, photo gallery to the settings, contacts app, phone dialer and multi-task manager. This release is focusing more on the Interface than adding new core-features to the software. we have to be honest, TouchWiz UI came a long way since its release with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Check the Exclusive screenshots below to Take a first look at the New TouchWiz UX (all screenshots below are taken from a Galaxy Note5), Enjoy!
All Android users are waiting for Google to release the Android "M" final release ever since it was officially revealed. So far, We know the version number of the "M" release which will be 5.2 but we still don't know the official market-candy name of it.
Among the suggested names, Milkshake, Muffin and Marshmallow. Google's employees Nat and Lo posted an insider Video on YouTube that points what the M will stand for. The video ends with a guy sandblasting/painting a white half-droid, which looks suspiciously like a marshmallow.
The video suggests that Android M official name will be "Android Marshmallow". What do you think ?
HTC has just launched its first Android 6.0 Marshmallow powered smartphone, One A9, which also packs an updated version of HTC Sense 7.0 UI. The new User Interface packs some minor improvements on top of Marshmallow.
The Improvements can be visible on the System app's icons, Setting menu, Notification bar, HTC Sense Keyboard, App drawer and the blinkfeed too. Everything is more flat than the previous Sense 7.0 release (for Lollipop).
All the icons used are now packing a long-shadow style. The camera Interface has also been updated with flat simple icons. System-wide the new UI is taking advantage of all Marshmallow features and tries to follow Google's Material Design as much as possible but still keeping the good old Sense smooth feeling which makes it the perfect combination and the best custom launcher in the market. Check the video below to see the HTC One A9 with Marshmallow 6.0 Sense 7.0 UI in action.
After Material Design on the Android 5.0 Lollipop for Smartphones and Tablets, Google is looking to bring the Material Design UI for Desktops by updating the Chrome Browser (for PC, Mac and linux) and the Chrome OS too in a new project codenamed "Athena".
The "Athena" project is a project bringing a new kind of user experience to Chrome OS. Bringing radical changes in both the user interface and the fundamentals of the Chrome OS user experience.
These leaked screenshots from an alpha build of Chrome Os shows the New UI that will be released sometime this year, we don't know the exact version when these changes will start rolling-out. It's highly expected that we might see those changes when Google Chrome version 50 get released, currently it's on version 42.
More Screenshots from HTC Sense 7 UI has been leaked, we got two screenshots via an Anonymous Tip. The source claims that HTC is working on developing the Sense 7 UI with Material Design on the latest Lollipop Developer Preview as a preparation for the final version release. Sense 7 UI is still unfinished and under-development.
Looks like HTC will release a whole new version of Sense (7.0) for a whole new version of Android (5.0). However, We don't have any confirmation regarding the authenticity of these screenshots, it could be a very very early Sense 7 build, or not!
The HTC Sense 7 UI has almost the same style and icons as the Sense 6 but with a little Material touch. Software keys background will change its color according to the App accent color which as a gorgeous touch to the User Interface, unlike the current Sense 6 which makes the Software keys almost black on most Apps. These screenshots were taken from an HTC One M8 device, we didn't get screenshots from the Homscreen, App drawer, lockscreen or the Notifications bar yet.
- UPDATE (Oct,28): The 2nd screenshot (below) is from an App that is not related to HTC (Widget Reborn beta), Our source Apologizes for it and clarifies that he was demonstrating how Sense 7 UI can adjust with any Material-optimized App. Sense 7 UI will color the software keys and upper notification bar with the App's default accent color which is in this case (Dark green). This is Not HTC Sense 7 UI Battery History.
As a coincidence, HTC Sense 7 settings menu has the same default color as the App but a little lighter. Our source also said that Sense 7 will have themes (like Sense 6) that changes the accent color of the whole UI (the default is light green).
HTC promised that it will deliver Lollipop OTA update to its One M8 and One M7 in exactly 90 days after Google release the final version (November,3rd). Stay Tuned for More Info!
Thanks for the Tip Anon!
Many Android fans are waiting for the HTC One M9 to be Available (April,2015) so that they can get their hands on HTC's New Sense 7.0 UI. One of the most innovative, sleek, elegant User Interface among all what is currently released in the market. Every year HTC impresses us with a new UI... This Year the sense 7.0 is no difference, even more amazing and Materialized than ever.
Here's some Exclusive Screenshots of the HTC Sense 7.0 UI from an One M9 device.
A German retailer called" Cyberport", accidentally listed the HTC One (M9) along with its official press photos and specs, set to arrive on two color options gunmetal grey with black accents and silver with gold accents. Now the images don't exactly align with previous leaks which showed new design for the speaker grilles so this might be a mere publicity stunt by the retailer.
Leaked Specs
Though the listing has been redacted now, the images and specs were already downloaded. Bearing a close resemblance to the HTC One (M8) design, the new One (M9) features 5-inch display and fresh batch of rumors based on leaked wallpapers point towards 1080p resolution. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, it packs 3GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage and up to 128GB microSD expansion support.
Measuring 9.61 mm thick, One (M9) will run Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7. In the front is a 4MP UltraPixel camera and at the back is a 20MP camera with dual-LED flash. HTC has packed 2900mAh battery to power this smartphone. The Device will be announced on March,1st.

Just when people were starting to think that the "Made for Samsung" program which Samsung had announced at the CES in January was scrapped, the Korean company just declared their first endeavor in that line. As it turns out, Samsung's partner in this particular initiative is The Weather Channel and together, they have launched the first application within the Made for Samsung program. The application is exclusively available for the Note 5, the S6 Edge+ and the S7 Edge.
The app offers brand new features, among which, one in particular sounds quite interesting. Apparently, the Smart Weather alarm clock will wake up the user before point, if it decides that the weather conditions might delay the user from being ready in time. Other features of the application include Floating Shortcuts, in-app live wallpapers that are customizable and Edge Alerts for updating the user with the latest changes in weather conditions on the Edge panel.
The application is only available via Galaxy Apps and in case you have one of the three supported smartphones, check it out by searching for "Weather Channel" within the store. If however, you cannot see the application or cannot download it in spite of having the right handset; chances are that it is probably not yet available in your locale. In that case, you can download the APK file directly and give it a try, if you so want.
Details about a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 series has been confirmed today. According to a recently published report, the 4G LTE enabled version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 9.7 (SM-T815, SM-T817) has received both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certification. While this particular model carries a 9.7-inch screen, a version of the slate with a smaller 8-inch glass was imported into India last month by Samsung for testing. The company plans on destroying the tablet once it is done with it.
The details that have leaked thus far reveal that both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 8.0 and the Samsung Galaxy S 2 9.7 will be the slimmest tablets available with a thickness of just 5.4mm. Both tablets will feature a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and an aspect ratio of 4:3. The home grown Exynos 5433 CPU is expected to be under the hood with 3GB of RAM inside. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 8MP and 2.1MP respectively and a 3850mAh battery will keep both models running. Android 5.0.2 is pre-installed.
The Bluetooth certification for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 9.7 shows that it will support Bluetooth 4.1. This particular document also reveals other variants of the tablet. Besides the SM-T815, there will be the SM-T815C, the SM-T817A and SM-T817V. The other versions of the slate could be for different regions, and for a Wi-Fi only version of the tablet. The SM-T715, SM-T715C, SM-T717A and SM-717V are the model numbers that will be used for the smaller 8-inch version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2. The tablets will replace the currently offered Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.
Samsung has now officially developed and patented the graphene ball tech which makes lithium-ion cells used in smartphones last a lot longer. As per reports, the utilization of graphene ball can not only make li-ion batteries last up to 45% longer, but it can also make the cells take charge up to five-times faster than before! To put that in a real world scenario, consider the fact that the Galaxy S8's 3,000mAh li-ion battery takes roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes to get fully charged from 0%-100%, but with graphene ball, it would take about 15 - 20 minutes or less to do the same! If that's not incredible, then we don't what is!
Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) was the division responsible for developing the technology, but that's no surprise since the division has been behind developing breakthrough tech for quite a while now. Another one of its recent successes include introduction of the cadmium-free Quantum Dot display tech used in Samsung QLED TVs. Does this mean that we will see the Galaxy S9 debut with unbelievably fast recharge times and incredible battery life? Not really! It's just a patent and there's no guarantee that grapheme ball will be ready by the time Samsung goes into mass production with the Galaxy S9.

If you are even remotely into gaming, then you have probably already heard about Fortnite, thanks to the game's soaring popularity. Cashing in on the title's fame, the developer, Epic Games is on the verge of releasing an Android version of the game, but rumor has it that Fortnite for Android will be a timed exclusive for the Galaxy Note 9.
We are using the term "timed exclusive" because unlike console exclusives such as God of War or Uncharted, Fortnite for Android will eventually make its way to all supported Android devices, but for the first 30 days from the handset's release, it would be exclusively playable only on the upcoming Galaxy Note 9. 9to5Google reports that this is a result of Epic Games teaming up with Samsung for the promotion of the handset and the early adopters of the Note 9 will get added bonuses. The bonuses may include in-game currency (V-Bucks) worth up to $150. Just in case you are not into Fortnite, you will also be given the option to choose a pair of AKG earphones of the same value instead. We will find out more as we head towards the August 9 launch date.

We already posted first Exclusive Teaser of the Lexus Hoverboard, which the company's claims it's the World's first ridable hoverboard. Today, Lexus published the 2nd Teaser showing its hover board "floating on air", giving us a closer look at it.
This "Back to the future" Hoverboard is using a very complicated superconductive technology. The team is using magnetic levitation with liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets to give the hoverboard frictionless movement of a kind that had been thought impossible.
Lexus is said to officially announce this hoverboard later this year and we are waiting on fire for it. Check out the two mind-blowing Teasers below.
The 2016 war of wearables devices is about to start. After Samsung leaked its upcoming Gear S2 Round smartwatch on its offiical website, Motorola has leaked the successor of the Moto 360 smartwatch on Twitter. The company posted a render of a mysterious wearable device appeared in one of the manufacturer's official tweets earlier today [The tweet has been removed!].
The unannounced smartwatch features a round body, but different button placement than the original Moto 360. While we were preparing this post, Motorola removed the tweet, thus further suggesting that we saw something we weren't originally supposed to. One of the rumored names in Moto 720 or Moto 360s.
Curiously, the leaked smartwatch appears to feature a screen that's not fully circular - just like the first-generation Moto 360. We certainly hope that this will not be the case when the new Moto 360 debuts, as both LG and Samsung have competitors with fully circular displays already available or on the way.
Surprise! Some Exclusive Screenshots of the Upcoming Windows 9 Technical Preview has been leaked ahead of the scheduled release which is set for early 2015. The Preview is for Microsoft Windows NT 6.4 Build 9834 which is known as "Windows 9".
The screenshots show a refreshed user interface with some new, flat iconography, alongside the long awaited return of the classic Start menu. Windows 9 can run with just 1GB of RAM, which means that Microsoft has done some serious under the hood work to optimize the OS.
Codenamed Threshold, Windows 9 is anticipated to bring some new features as well. One of them is the highly anticipated option to add a bunch of workspaces. Akin to Linux, those workspaces can hold different applications and make switching between different working environments a breeze.

Sony Mobile released 6 Apps that showcase the water resistance of its flagship Xperia smartphones. Sony Underwater Apps is currently Available in the United States for Xperia Z1s and Xperia Z2 via Google Play Store Here.
The apps, which look undeniably fun and goofy, utilize a great deal of clever engineering to work. The end result is an Xperia device that detects and changes behavior when submerged under water.
The abovementioned feat is achieved via a detector, which generates a test tone with frequency beyond that of the human ear. The device uses its dual-microphones to record sounds that are subsequently processed. The resulting spectrograms contain data that helps the device detect if it is in the air or under water.
