The OnePlus 5T is supposed to replace the OnePlus 5 and the company has confirmed that once stocks clear out, OnePlus will not be making any more OnePlus 5 models. However, does it mean that you should buy the handset? Well, that is not an easy question to answer but we will try to do that here.

OnePlus smartphones were once famous for selling flagship hardware at unbelievably affordable rates, but those days are long gone. Make no mistake, in nations like India and the company's own home country of China, the phone is still a lot cheaper than other flagships such as the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, Pixel 2, etc. Nevertheless, in America and Canada particularly, the carrier offers and Samsung's own offers make these flagships almost as affordable as the OnePlus 5T, but with better hardware. The OnePlus 5T cannot beat flagships from other more established OEMs in terms of display quality, camera or even water resistance (it doesn't have any!) and if it cannot even beat the price by much, they need to up their game. Nevertheless, if you are in one of those regions where the 5T is a lot cheaper than its competition, it makes for a good buy. By the way, if you already do have an OnePlus 5, do not even bother to buy a 5T because everything about the two phones is identical, except the full-screen display and the back-mounted fingerprint scanner. It might look a bit better, but that facelift doesn't warrant buying a 5T by any logical means.

vivo s5

There were already some leaks about the next S-series phone from Vivo which was expected to be called Vivo S5. Today, the Chinese company has officially teased the arrival of Vivo S5 by releasing a teaser video and a poster. Based on the recent leaks and teaser it is safe to say that it could be the first phone to feature a diamond-shaped quad-camera system. The teasers reveal that like the Vivo S1 and Vivo S1 Pro smartphones, the upcoming Vivo S5 will be arriving in vibrant colors. This could mean that the phone manufacturer is targeting the younger consumer in China for Vivo S5.

Not so long, Vivo S-lineup brand ambassador Cai Xukun was spotted holding the upcoming S-series smartphone in a promo video for a fashion magazine. The rear side of the phone has pinkish appearance towards the left and right while the center portion looks bluish. The video revealed that the Vivo S5 has a 3.5mm audio jack on its top edge and it has a diamond-shaped quad-camera setup on its back. It appears that the phone is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint reader.

At present, there is no information on the specifications of the Vivo S5 smartphone. It could be packed with mid-range phones. Probably, the company will be unleashing the Vivo S5 in November. Hopefully, its entire specifications will be revealed through its TENAA certification in the coming days. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Exynos 980 chipset. The said SoC is equipped with a 5G modem that will bring about NSA and SA networks. The launch event for the phone could be held on Nov. 7 in China.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man Limited Edition will be launched on May 27 in South Korea, and next month in China and Hong Kong. The company didn't mention other markets, which might leave many Iron Man fans disappointed. The price of the S6 edge Iron Man Limited Edition wasn't unveiled, but it's probably higher than the price of a regular S6 edge 64 GB.

Samsung said nothing about an Iron Man edition of the Galaxy S6, which might mean that the curved S6 edge is the only one that's getting the superhero treatment.

Note 5

Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Note5 (5th Generation Galaxy Note). In this one, Samsung has dropped plastic completely for a metal and glass follow-up to the Galaxy S6. The bezels around the 5.7" screen are narrower, the phablet itself is almost a millimeter thinner making it easier to hold in the hand.

The Super AMOLED screen has QHD resolution as before, but the way it interacts with the S Pen stylus has been revamped. The stylus is clickable, though that only serves to get it out of its sheath. Once you do, you can start immediately taking a note even when the screen is "off" (with AMOLED the distinction is small).

Note 5

As of the Specs, the Galaxy Note5 has 4GB of RAM, up from 3GB on both the Note 4 and Galaxy S6. This gives apps more playroom, but the Exynos 7420 chipset will have an even bigger impact it's currently the fastest mobile chipset on the market, Samsung didn't even need to overclock it as new competition is yet to catch up.

Storage is based on the fast UFS 2.0 standard. While it outruns regular eMMC 5.0 storage, data hoarders have been locked out of expanding the memory the base model has 32GB, you can upgrade to 64GB and that's it. No microSD slot, no 128GB option.

Galaxy Note5 Official Specs

The camera is a 16MP sensor behind a wide f/1.9 aperture, plus optical image stabilization and auto real-time HDR. It can record 2160p video or livestream 1080p to YouTube. For selfies you get a 5MP sensor and an f/1.9 aperture. Samsung has updated the audio department with Ultra High Quality Audio, which promises "richer" sound. This feature will work over Bluetooth with new compatible Level On headphones.

Note 5

The Galaxy Note5 checks wireless all boxes, but a highlight is Samsung Pay, which works over NFC or MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission). Pay will launch in the US in September so it will be ready when Note5 arrive in users' hands. Much like the storage, the battery has been sealed off. What's more the capacity dropped to 3,000mAh. Samsung is counting on Fast Charging both wired and wireless!

The Samsung Galaxy Note5 will be available for pre-order today, coming in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium. It will be available in the US on August 21st, with pre-orders starting today. You can go for a hands-on as soon as tomorrow in 7,000 locations across the US. Pricing will be announced by the carriers.

Galaxy Note5

Yesterday, Samsung has just launched its new phablet smartphone, Galaxy Note5 in India at a local event in New Delhi. Priced at INR 53,900 ($800) for the 32GB model, and INR 59,900 ($890) for the 64GB model.

The Galaxy Note5 is the latest in Samsung's line of Note devices. Internally, the phone is quite similar to the previously launched Galaxy S6 but features a larger 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, bigger 3000mAh battery, and Fast Wireless Charging. It also has the S Pen stylus that the series is known for.

Galaxy Note5

Compared to the previous Galaxy Note 4, the Note5 loses the faux leather back finish, instead opting for the new glass back similar to the S6. The battery is also sealed in this time and there isn't expandable memory, again like the S6. The Note5, however, loses the IR blaster, that both the S6 and the Note 4 have.

The Note5 will be available in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium starting September,20th.

Android M 6.0

As we reported before. Today, Google has just officially announced Android M Developer Preview, the preview images will be available today and the final official release will be available later this year. There is no official candy-flavored name for Android M yet. Here's What's New on Android M :

Exclusive Screenshots

Official Change-log

Handling App permissions!

android m

Android M is now official and it will be all about the user experience

First and foremost, it is already being perfectly clear to us that Android M will be largely focused on the user experience instead of major UI design overhauls, like was the case with Android Lollipop. The very first feature announced on stage at I/O 2015 were changes to app permissions - a seemingly unimportant aspect of Android, but one that we clash with on a daily basis. In Android M, which will have its own developer preview available as Lollipop did, users will have to battle with, and okay, permission requests much less often. Why? Because app permissions will be granted only once, instead of every time you install an app. For example, if you want to send a voice message through Whatsapp, you'll only have to agree to grant the app the permission once, and will never be asked to allow microphone usage in apps again. The above will apply to all other categories of permissions, which have been simplified to be more understandable than before - so things like 'Camera' and 'Location'.

Since you may want to revoke a permission from an app at a later time, you'll be able to do so through a menu in the settings, which will let you to control whether all or select apps have access to a certain category of permissions.

Android Pay and native fingerprint scanning support

Android Pay

Another major announcement has to do with a new service alike to Apple Pay. Called Android Pay, it's Google's reboot of Wallet, allowing for mobile payments within stores. As you can imagine, it'll use NFC to communicate with terminals. On top of this, Android M is also introducing native support for fingerprint scanners, so manufacturers will no longer have to bake in support themselves  at least unless they want to. Coupled with Android Pay, it's obvious that Google is getting really serious about mobile payments.

Chrome Everywhere

Android M

Android M is now official and it will be all about the user experience.

If you're big on reading through Facebook, you will likely have noticed that the app no longer sends you off to do your thing with the help of third-party browser, and instead does everything within Facebook. This very same type of functionality is coming to apps (Pinterest being confirmed), allowing third-party developers to bake in such functionality within their apps. The heavy-lifting will be done with Chrome, though the interface will remain consistent with the app's design.

Why you should care? Because this implementation will allow apps to pre-fetch content before you even open it, so load times will be lower than ever.

Android M "Dozing"

Dozing

Seeing how battery life continues to be an overarching issue with smartphones, it only makes sense that a major update such as Android M will focus on this aspect of the experience as well. With M, Google is introducing 'dozing', a special mode that will only activate when your device's various sensors determine that your device is not being used (say, it's just standing on your desk), and enter an even deeper state of sleep. Thankfully, dozing won't stop your alarms and priority notifications from reaching you.

The results? Google claims that an identical setup with Android M manages up to x2 the standby time of a device on Android Lollipop. If true, dozing truly is a big deal.

On a related note, Google has made its support for USB Type C charging ports public, meaning that we can expect more such devices to creep up on us rather soon. The end of failed attempts at connecting your device is in sight, people!

The small things

Not every Android M feature is as noteworthy as Android Pay or better power management, yet the smaller things do make life easy (or a living hell). Two such examples are sharing content on (stock) Android, and volume control.

Direct share

android m

While sharing various types of content has been core to the Android experience, one could (successfully) argue that the implementation has been in need of a serious improvement for a while. Not only are we bombarded with tons of apps we can share content to, but many devices don't really learn from your usage habits.

Seeing as Google is pitching Android M as all about the user experience, it makes sense that it worked on that. With Android M, your device will finally make sense of how and who you share with, allowing for ever smarter suggestions next time around. So if you constantly send over content to your girlfriend, your Android M-toting device will know that you're most likely to share with her again in the future. So she'll be your number one option.

This feature has been available in proprietary, Android-based UIs, but it's good to see Google is both paying attention and willing to implement smart ideas into Android.

Finally! Volume control by category

Another exceedingly smart feature available with select manufacturer UIs, and unavailable with Android Lollipop, is volume control by category. This means that if you wish to change the volume for notifications and alarms, but not music and your ringtone, you could only do so whilst in an app the controls this category of sound. So the media controller was only available when in a music app. With Android M, this will finally change, as the volume bar will now include the sliders for all groups.

Two of the biggest European communication companies are merging, Today, Nokia will officially acquire Alcatel-Lucent in an all-share transaction valued at €15.6 billion. HTC Nexus 9

We hear a lot of rumors about a 9-inch HTC-made Nexus tablet powered by Nvidia Tegra K1 coming this year to be called the "HTC Nexus 9", we even got a list of this HTC Nexus 9 Unofficial Specs. Well, It's finally official... Yes Nvidia accidentally mentioned the Nexus 9 on its legal filings documents related to it patent lawsuit against Qualcomm and Samsung.

Nvidia's document specifically states, "the HTC Nexus 9, expected in the third quarter of 2014, is also expected to use the Tegra K1." So, based on what's known that there will without a doubt be a Nexus 9 made by HTC with Nvidia's Tegra K1, but we also know that it should be expected in the third quarter of this year. All of this essentially confirms all of the rumors we've and gives an expected time frame which hasn't been confirmed by anyone else.

Nexus 9

None of this is official, but NVIDIA tuck the information in a legal filing like it's no big deal makes it seem more legit. We may see this beast in the upcoming weeks with some "Android L" desert inside.

We can now show you actual pictures of the Galaxy S7 Edge Blue Coral variant and it isn't even a leak. Samsung has officially released pictures of the upcoming new color variant and it looks quite beautiful. They have obviously taken a cue from the Note 7's Blue Coral variant here, as the color was quite well received. If you like what you see, you will be able to buy one starting November.

The S7 Edge Blue Coral is priced at NT$24,900 in Taiwan, which is approximately $790; the same price as all the other color variants. The handset will see its release on November 5 in Singapore and should make its way to the rest of the world soon afterwards. Given that every other competitor will have a new phone in the market for the holiday season, only time will tell if just an additional color option will be enough to convince customers in favor of choosing Samsung over newer hardware from other manufacturers. The LG V20, the Moto Z and the Google Pixel XL are thought to be its greatest competitors, but there are other less popular brands out there too, who will take a shot at stealing Samsung's market share due to the void that the Note 7's untimely death has created.

After the C5, it was time for the C7 to reveal its specs and we like what we see. It is going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, 4GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch FHD display and a 3,300 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The Galaxy C7 will come in two storage options, 32GB and 64GB; both are expandable via micro-SD thankfully. The rear camera will have a 16-megapixel sensor, while the selfie cam will sport an 8-megapixel one. It will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box as expected.

The handset will weigh in at 165g and measure in at 156.6 × 77.2 × 6.7mm. The Home button will act as a fingerprint scanner as well. The Galaxy C7 will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, Gray and Silver color options. NFC will be supported, along with Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS and 4G LTE. We even have the price for you here; $395/RMB 2,599 for 32GB of internal storage and $425/RMB 2,799 for 64GB of internal storage.

We are really interested to see how the new Snapdragon 625 performs inside the C7. It houses an octa-core CPU (Cortex-A53) clocked at 2.0GHz and an Adreno 506 GPU.

Samsung has just made it official that the exploding Galaxy Note 7 smartphones are a real problem which according to their research and reports, may happen to one in every 42,000 units. Samsung Mobiles president Koh also stated that they have so far found 35 incidents around the world in which the Note 7 had shown signs of excessive heating, catching fire or even exploding while being charged. In light of these incidents, the smartphone will be recalled all around the world as a safety measure and as expected, sales have stopped for now as well.

Samsung hopes to replace all the Note 7 smartphones to their customers in roughly two week's time. The battery related problem will perhaps be solved by the South Korean giant over time, but a massive damage has already been done. The exploding smartphones have not only put a blemish on an otherwise perfect series of Note devices, but the bad reputation will definitely affect the sales of Samsung smartphones in general, especially when Apple is about to unveil the iPhone 7 this month.

Samsung

Samsung Electronics Korea is currently using 14nm FinFET production method to manufacture its latest Exynos chipset Soc (System-on-chip) like the Exynos 7420 which is powering its latest flagship Galaxy S6.

The Korean giant is preparing to add the latest manufacturing technology, 10nm FinFET process in the foundry roadmap, announcing it officially in the video below.

The 10nm process, as with every die shrink of this magnitude, will introduce a 20% increase in peak clock rates, and a whopping 40% decrease in power consumption, all in the same footprint, and that's what the race is all about, so next year's mobile silicon race is shaping up to be even more exciting than this show season.

After months of speculations and leaks, the S8 and S8+ were finally launched last month. However, except for pre-ordering it and waiting to get your hands on one, there wasn't really much that you could do at that point. However, all that waiting comes to an end today as the S8 and S8+ are now officially on sale across the USA, Canada, South Korea and Puerto Rico. Of course some of the customers in other countries have already started to receive their package as well, but they still can't go and buy one off the shelf yet.

All remaining countries where Samsung has not yet started to sell the device (officially), should see the two flagships smartphones arrive at the stores in the coming week or the next; that is by the end of April or the first week of March, you should be able to buy a S8 smartphone irrespective of your location, unless Samsung has no presence in your nation of course.

Would you be buying the Galaxy S8 or S8+? Have you already pre-ordered it? Would you rather wait for the Galaxy Note 8 which will come out later in the year? Let us know the answers in the comments section below.

After months of battling apps dedicated to disabling or remapping the infamous Bixby button, Samsung has finally decided to give in to their users' wishes and has ultimately provided the very welcome option of turning the button off. Strangely enough, this comes right after Bixby actually started to become somewhat useful for its voice based functionalities!

This option came in with the latest Bixby update and users of the Galaxy S8, S8+ and the Note 8 can finally toggle the Bixby button off. If you do that, pressing the button won't start Bixby anymore. In fact, it won't do anything at all after that! You can also turn the button on/off from the Bixby settings menu if you want to.

In case you don't see that option on your device, it means you probably have not been given the update yet. Don't worry though, because it will get there eventually. Perhaps we would have been a bit happier if Samsung allowed us to remap the Bixby button to something useful as well, but hey! One baby step at a time, right?

Earlier reports had suggested that the Korean giant was entering the field of cryptocurrency with dedicated mining machines and today, that news has been confirmed. A Samsung spokesperson told TechCrunch that the company's foundry business is concentrating on building chips for mining cryptocurrencies specifically. However, the representative was also very secretive about the whole thing and declined to comment any further on the matter. It looks like all those rumors about Samsung making application-specific integrated circuit chips (ASIC) for dedicated mining machines were indeed true.

The decision isn't really surprising, given how popular a business cryptocurrency mining has become nowadays. In fact, it's one of the main reasons as to why graphics card prices have soared sky-high and even when you are willing to pay that price, it's hard to find one! ASIC chips on the other hand are the future of mining bitcoins. They are more efficient in mining than gaming GPUs simply because they are built specifically for one purpose, which is to compute hashes. Given that the ASIC-powered mining rigs are also more power-efficient than a multi-GPU unit, Samsung has a chance to shape the future of cryptocurrency mining here.

If the images are to be believed, then the Galaxy S10+ at least, will indeed sport an in-display fingerprint scanner after all. There's also the expected tri-camera module at the back and it does look like there will be a Pearly White color option this year after all.

pixel 4

Google has heavily leaked information about its next smartphone - Pixel 4. Although Google couldn't make it to the position of the top seller of the smartphone, it still owns the significant appreciation of the consumers who like to buy a phone based on the camera specification. Google smartphone also features some custom specs that you won't see on other devices like a bespoke launcher or custom image processor. The pixel 4 is set to repeat this trend with, among the usual software tweaks there is hand gesture control in the phone.

Google itself leaked the rear camera of the device a few months ago, ahead of its launch confirming the leaks around its design. Since then it has also revealed a detail about its hardware specification embedded beneath its relatively think top bezel and it has appeared in the wild in both photos and videos. According to the leaks, it has relatively think top bezel which is something lots of smartphone manufacturers are moving away from.

The render of the device was surfed by the reliably connected Evan Blass. The render also confirms that there is no fingerprint sensor on the rear side. This may increase the possibility of having facial recognition technology for security. However, there is also a possibility of having an in-display fingerprint sensor. This is something we can't assume from the design leaks. While this phone isn't the most attractive in the market but it is certainly better than its predecessor Pixel 3XL. Other leaks suggest that it has a 90Hz display and anticipated still camera.

The Huawei Mate S is one of the recent Android smartphones to sport a pressure-sensitive display panel and Google's next iteration of the Android OS will come prepared to take advantage of such hardware. As of now, we know about an Android N feature called Launcher Shortcuts that will be the first to do so. It is to be noted that recognition of pressure-sensitive inputs are actually not new to Android as it was present even in the time of Android version 1.0.

Rumors and facts suggest that Huawei could be making one of the next Nexus smartphones for Google, especially if one considers the fact that Huawei had recently reserved the name Huawei 7P through copyright protection. Since Huawei is already running Force touch, coupled with the fact that Android N is now going to support similar functionalities, it seems quite likely that the upcoming Nexus might sport pressure-sensitive touch.

Although the number of currently available Android smartphones which have the necessary hardware to support this feature are limited to only the Huawei Mate S, Vernee Apollo and ZTE Axon Mini, Android 7's native support for pressure-sensitivity will definitely open up opportunities for developers to create applications based on it. Keep in mind though, that none of the smartphones mentioned are likely to get an Android N update very soon. What this means is that with the advent of the new Android, we will probably see fresh Nexus devices and smartphones from other partners of Google, launching with pressure-sensitive panels.

Meizu MX4

Meizu announced that it will officially reveal its upcoming device, the Meizu MX4 on September,2nd. so the first couple of weeks of next month are due to be very, very crowded in terms of new device launches.

The MX4 will run Flyme OS 4.0, the latest incarnation of Meizu's interpretation of Android. The phone has been rumored to come in at least two different versions, a 'base model' and a higher-end version.

The latter should sport a 5.4" or 5.5" touchscreen with 2560x1536 resolution, and a 20.7 MP rear camera (supposedly the exact same unit that Sony uses on its Xperia Z2). 3GB of RAM will be in at least one MX4 model, as well as Samsung's octa-core Exynos 5433 SoC. The normal MX4 retail price will be about $400 - €300.

Android M

Surprise! Yes.. Google will officially announce the Next version of its mobile operating system, Android "M" (version 6.0) during the Google I/O 2015 event which will be on May,28th.

Android M

Google's session description that briefly appeared as part of the I/O schedule made specific mention of "Android M." (The session in question has now been removed from Google's I/O website). Even if Lollipop has so far made it to just 10 percent of all Android devices, Google isn't slowing down any in pushing the operating system forward to the next level. Android "M" will focus mainly on voice control integration and Notifications features.

"Mobile hardware has adopted the touch screen as the primary mode of input. And with 1 billion active Android users, there's no sign of this slowing down. What if you could provide users with a new method of access to your apps with little to no development overhead? In this talk, we introduce Voice Access, a service that gives anyone access to their Android device through voice alone. We will focus on simple steps developers can follow to ensure that Voice Access provides an optimal experience within their apps." - Google, Voice Access session, I/O 2015.

Android "M" is set to be annouced at the Google's I/O keynote led by Senior Vice President, Sundar Pichai, which will kick off on May,28th at 12:30PM to be exact.

android 11

Google officially announced the firs Android 11 beta yesterday. This means the end of the developer preview cycle and the beginning of the beta cycle, which is pre-requisite software before the stable launch. Usually, Google has a big unveiling event to announce something like that. However, the COVID-19 situation is changing in the tech industry just like it is changing the whole world. Instead of delaying it, Google decided to go for an online-only event instead, but then those plans were also squashed by the ongoing protests of the black community to the death of George.

Now, Google simply launched the Android 11 beta along with some informational videos and content. The company says that this will allow people to consume at your own pace when the time is right for you. It's not as glorious as having a big Google event, but it is the best Company could come in amid several bad conditions.

So, what's new in Android 11?

So far, there doesn't appear to be too much difference between the previous Android 11 DP4 and today's Android 11 beta. We are currently getting the beta installed on our own devices and will be able to investigate any new features and goodies Google may have introduced. For now, though, all we have to go on is Google's announcement, and there's nothing there that we haven't already seen.

You can check out our running roundup of the newest Android 11 features on the way, but the biggest changes will be easier access to conversation notifications, enhanced user privacy and security options, and better control over the other devices you usually connect to your phone.

Now, the bad news is you can't install it on your non-pixel device yet. Unfortunately, the new Android 11 beta isn't yet compatible with any other device than Google Pixel. The new beta will work on the most recent pixel device only. This is a major shift from the tradition where we see dozens of other phones offer beta support for Android beta versions.

facebook lite

Facebook has just officially published "Facebook Lite" v1.0.0.0 App on the Google Play store. The main reason for this App is to make a lite, fast Facebook App for Low-end Android smartphones, as the current Facebook App is very large in size and performs slow on low-spec devices with less Ram and CPU power and uses less data and works in all network conditions

facebook lite

Facebook Lite is relatively tiny for an app from a major social network, weighing in at only a quarter of a megabyte a crucial stat if you live in a place that can only get 2G data access. There's a good reason for that, too: it looks like Facebook Lite isn't much more than a WebView wrapper for the mobile site, plus native Android notifications.

facebook lite

That might indeed be very useful for someone who just wants to check in on Facebook without loading up the admittedly heavy Chrome app, but for most current users it won't add any real functionality. Facebook Lite does include a few extra bells and whistles that aren't available on the web, like the ability to peek into your phone's contacts to see if there's anyone you've ever spoken to that isn't your Facebook friend yet.

fb lite

Facebook Lite main features:

- Fast to install, the app is less than 1 MB

- Quick to load
- Efficient with data

- Designed for 2G networks and areas with limited network connectivity

oppo

Oppo F17 Pro is on its way in India, according to the company teased through a GIF on Twitter today. The company has called the phone to be the sleekest phone of 2020 with a thickness of 7.48mm. Alongside the announcement made on the micro-social media platform, the company set a news release highlighting the arrival of the F17 Pro in the country. The press release didn't mention any hardware or software features of the phone, though it mentioned that the phone would come with a 22-degree edge design. The news release said, "The ultra-sleek body of the Oppo F17 Pro ensures that it easily slides into the pocket or can be tucked into the bag with ease without causing any bulge".

The phone supports dual-SIM. It features an AMOLED touch screen with 16 million colors, 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution. The device has an Android 10 operating system out of the box and is powered by Mali G72 GPU for graphic processing. Oppo F17 Pro features a quad-camera system with a 48-megapixel camera lens, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfie pictures, you get a 16-megapixel camera lens with f/2.0. The phone is powered by a non-removable li-polymer 4,500mAh battery and has support for Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot technologies. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the bottom of the screen.

The Amazon.in also shows the Oppo F17 Pro from one side. Furthermore, the E-commerce site suggests the existence of the Oppo F17 alongside the F17 Pro as its microsite is title Oppo F17 series. Oppo hasn't revealed the launch date of its new smartphone in the country yet. According to some reports, the phone might be launched in August.

Google Play

If you purchased an App on the Play store and you didn't like it or it doesn't work properly as its publisher advertised, you can return the App and take a refund in 15 minuets after purchase and you'll get your money that you paid for that app back. However, 15 mins is too little time to test some Apps/Games properly before you decide to keep them...

That's why Google has Officially expanded its Google Play Store refund policy to allow those who purchased an App or Game, to receive their money back within "Two Hours after purchase". To request a refund, you open the Google Play Store and go to My Apps. Select the game or app you wish to return, click on refund. Keep in mind that if the two hour refund window has expired, you will not see that option. If the two hour period has expired, you will be allowed to uninstall the app or game from your device, but without receiving your money back.

play 2 hours

So go ahead and buy that expensive App or Game you always wanted to try. If you don't like it, you have two hours (120 minutes or 7200 seconds) to return it for a complete refund. Remember though, that you can only receive a refund on a particular game or app one time.

Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter

Today Microsoft has officially unveiled its Wireless Display Adapter, which will serve as its competitor for Google's very successful Chromecast dongle.

The Wireless Display Adapter uses Miracast technology, so any Miracast-enabled device can send stuff to it. The adapter itself comes with two plugs: one goes into an HDMI port on your TV, monitor, or projector, and the other one is a normal USB plug which is used for powering the dongle.

Microsoft Wireless Display adapter

On most TVs, you should be able to simply use a spare USB port for this purpose. The setup is very similar to what's needed to run a Chromecast, in fact. Microsoft's offering boasts improved compatibility, however, since it automatically works with any Miracast-enabled device out there, so you're not limited to certain apps that support its streaming protocol.

Wireless display adapter

There is one downside to Microsoft's dongle when compared to the Chromecast price. The Wireless Display Adapter is now available for pre-order in the US and Canada, via Microsoft's online store. In the US, it's priced at $59.95. It will be released on October,31st.

Facebook WhatsApp

This sure took a while, but Facebook is now officially the owner of WhatsApp Inc. The social network agreed to buy the mobile messaging service on February 20, shocking the tech world by offering $19 billion for that privilege.

All the regulatory hurdles have now been cleared, so WhatsApp is finally part of Facebook.

US regulators moved pretty fast, approving the deal back in April. However, the European Commission only announced its positive vote on the matter last Friday. That was apparently the last approval Facebook needed, as the deal has now closed.

lexus hoverboard

We reported before about the Lexus Hoverboard and showed couple of teasers that were published on YouTube showing this cool thing Hovering on air.

Is it Real ? YES... Lexus has officially unveiled its Hoverboard in Spain. It's sadly not as cool as we expected. firstly, It can't be used anywhere you want... it needs a special "Track" in the ground like the train.

In the video ads, Lexus build a special Park for it, The park is made out of wood that has been painted to look like cement, with an embedded magnetic track that had clearly been covered with some sort of plaster in an effort to conceal it. Strike one: the Lexus board can't be used anywhere you want. Marty McFly would be disappointed.

hoverboard 2015

One more let-down, Lexus hoverboard works with liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and magnets, which means it needs to be cooled down to around -180 degrees Celsius using liquid nitrogen in order to achieve levitation. so you gonna need a fresh supply of liquid nitrogen with you all the time. You can watch the full story in the video below.

Vivo is one of the Chinese brands that made to the limelight in a very short amount of time. Last month the company released X50 and X50 Pro in China. There was another model in the series as well X50 Pro plus but that didn't make it to the market. Although the device was available to pre-order sales. And now the phone is ready to go on this first sale. Vivo held a pre-release event for the flagship model yesterday and revealed the launch date for the phone. The sale will go online and offline simultaneously. The pricing for the model will start around $700.

The main selling point of the vivo X50 pro plus is its quad-camera system. The model features a 50MP Samsung Isocell GN1 sensor with a 1/1.3" pixel size. The primary camera is expected to perform better even in a low-light situation or dark conditions. Others include a 32MP portrait lens, a 13MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 13MP wide-angle macro lens.

The X50 pro plus has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels. The display has support for the 120Hz refresh rate. The device comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor. At the rear side, the device uses a 0.5mm plain leather material which feels better and lighter in weight. Vivo's logo is embossed on the leather. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 865 flagship SoC paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM. There are 128GB and 256GB storage options. The X50 Pro plus comes with a $700 price tag. The FunTouch 10.5 OS based Android 10 OS runs on the Vivo X50 Pro+. The phone has a 4,350mAh battery that comes with 44W fast charging.
