OnePlus used an untraditional platform to announce a feature pack of its next device. Usually, phone manufacturers use Twitter to share news, leaks, or updates about their mobile phones or products. But recently OnePlus uploaded a new teaser on Instagram. The new revelation comes just before a few days of the launch of the next OnePlus phone. As per the Instagram post, OnePlus Nord will come with preloaded with Google's Duo, Messages, and phone apps. The company has already revealed that the OnePlus Nord uses an Android-based Oxygen OS. The latest flagships, however, seems to stick with the default options to offer an improved user experience.

 

The OnePlus Nord will be running OxygenOS, which is known for providing an almost bloatware-free, Android-like experience. With the default Google apps, the OnePlus Nord will be able to offer rich communication services functionality to users. In another video on Instagram, OnePlus has highlighted that the OnePlus Nord would have a tough build that would resist drop, shock, and water. The phone will, however, not come with an Ingress Protection (IP) certification, as confirmed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei in an interview with YouTuber Marques Brownlee (MKBHD).

 

The recent teasers have also highlighted the earlier rumors that the OnePlus Nord will feature a quad-camera system at the rear side, with a 48-megapixel primary camera that also comes with optical image stabilization. The phone features a 90Hz AMOLED display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. The device will be powered by a reasonably huge 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. For the front camera, you get a 32-megapixel primary sensor. The OnePlus Nord launch is scheduled for 7:30 pm IST on Tuesday. To be more precise, Android users are about twice as likely to uninstall an app from their phone, as compared to an Apple iPhone user. The conclusion was drawn by the analysts after going through data based on 500 apps and about 20 million devices. The comparatively short-lived interest in multiple apps, as exhibited by the Android populace could be a result of any one or multiple of the following reasons.

Android users outnumber iPhone users quite significantly, and unless the data was collected by keeping that fact in mind, the sheer numerical superiority can definitely contribute to such an overwhelming difference in behaviour between the two groups.

According to Palo Alto Networks security firm, all of these apps have Indonesian developers. Having said that, they also assured that in spite of the apps originating from the same geographical area, the developers are most likely not connected with each other. The malicious code within the applications are in the form of HTML documents hidden inside other HTML documents; hailed as "tiny hidden IFrames." These documents are responsible for linking out to established harmful domains from inside the applications. If you are wondering what harm these could cause, Palo Alto explains that the malware can be used to, "modify the app's internal logic, i.e., adding rooting utility, declaring additional permissions, or dropping malicious APK file, to escalate their capabilities."

Google has just Updated it's Chrome for Android Beta to version 38 on the Play Store with many changes. It's not a major update unlike the v37-beta update that brought us the Chrome Materiel design UI. According to the Chrome release blog Chrome Beta v38 includes additional Material Design user interface elements and new support for Android's battery status and screen orientation APIs.

 

 

Version 37 of Chrome for Android was the biggest update in a while, at least in terms of user experience, but the march of progress never ceases. Version 38 just hit the Play Store, and while it's not exactly earth-shattering, people who obsess over the bleeding edge of Google browsers will find something interesting.

 

 

If you're running Android L on your Nexus 5 or Nexus 7, you might also see a new option in the Settings menu. "Merge tabs and apps" would seem to indicate the kind of functionality that we've seen in "Project Hera" and confirmed at Google I/O. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work yet. Today, Google updated its Docs, Sheets and Slides Apps with full Material Design UI and many other improvements in order to make them Lollipop-ready for the big launch on November,3rd.

 

 

Let's get the biggest visual tweak out of the way first. Yes, Google has changed the hamburger menu icon in the action bar. No, it still doesn't match the majority of its other updated apps.

 

This look is consistent across Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Another change that appears across all three apps is the addition of an "Incoming" section in the sidebar that consolidates all of the files that other people have shared with you.

 

 

In Docs in particular, a new "Make a copy" option has appeared under "Share & export" that lets you create a new document using the current one as a template. It's a feature that makes much more sense if you don't use a blank document.

Google Play services 6.5 is now Rolling-out. This release of Google Play services Adds New features to Fit, Maps, Drive, And Wallet Apps. Also, when the SDK lands, it will finally answer the single most common complaint from developers that the GMS library is just too damn big (4-5 MB).

 

Maps will receive the lion's share of new features with Play services v6.5 update.
