Samsung apps on the App Store?

26 January, 2016 Samsung

To quote Baltasar Gracián, "A wise man gets more use from his enemies than a fool from his friends." If the report by SamMobile is to be believed, then Samsung and Apple, two of the biggest rivals in the smartphone industry, are about to do business together. Although doing business together is nothing new for the two behemoths as Samsung is possibly developing OLED panels for Apple as we speak, bringing apps to the App Store is something totally new altogether.

According to the report, Samsung apps like Gear Manager, Smart Camera, Samsung Remote Control and S Health are about to make their way on to the App Store on iOS. If you are wondering what an iPhone user will utilize these apps for, then let us inform you that these apps can be used to control other Samsung products like Samsung Smart TVs, smart cameras and smartwatches.

If true, it will make iPhone much more open to products from other companies than it ever was. While this may be great for users who want to enjoy the best of both worlds, we will just have to wait and see how Apple handles it.

One can consider Google to be the pioneer in this field as they were the first ones to get all their apps across all platforms. Smartphone manufacturers like HTC and Blackberry had also done the same with some of their apps a while ago and it seems like Samsung is about to join the bunch.
