For two years, smartphone manufacturers have realized the importance of budget-friendly phones. They know that this is the category they need to win over. And now Xiaomi is looking to prepare more affordable smartphones for the market. The Mi 11 series has regular and flagship smartphones but the upcoming model might be the more affordable variant and might not have the 5G connectivity support to lower down the cost. The phone was recently listed on the FCC website with model number M2101K9AG. Bloggers at XDA Developers have reported that the phone will be called the Mi 11 lite.

According to the FCC listing, the Mi 11 Lite will feature a 4,150mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The phone will have 6GB RAM and two different configurations for internal storage - 64GB and 128BG. Another report suggests that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 732G processing chip. XDA reports further that the Mi 11 Lite is codenamed Corbet and as per another leak it will be powered by the Snapdragon SM7150 platform. This means that the device could have either Snapdragon 730, 730G, or 732G processor. The same device may be launched as another Poco device as another leak suggests that the Courbet is a codename for Poco F2. If something like this happens, it won't come as a surprise as a few Poco devices have already been rebranded or repacked as Xiaomi smartphones.

The main selling point for this device would be it is low-cost but producing a phone without 5G in 2021 seems strange to many users. It is also possible that the company has decided to come up with two smartphone variants with 4G and 5G network as the ancestor Mi 10 lite was a 5G capable phone. The device is rumored to feature a 64MP as the primary camera lens, a 16MP camera sensor for the front camera, and a 120Hz display. The device will run the Android 11 operating system out of the box and will be available in blue and black colors.

Xiaomi 10 Pro 5G

Xiaomi is expected to announce its next Mi series flagship smartphone by February or March at max. Even though we don\'t have a confirmed official date or specs but there are recent amount of leaks that keep popping up here and there. A recent leak suggests that the phone is going to be called Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G and will likely to be unveiled on Feb 11. Now, a reputable leaker Weibo (via FoneArena) has uploaded some interesting images of possible Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G, revealing few exciting details about specifications.

The images reveal the upcoming flagship smartphone with High-resolution branding of the company and it will have a quad-camera setup at the rear side of the phone. As per the tipster on the same website Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro will feature a high-resolution camera lens up to 108MP for the primary camera, just like the Mi Note 10 that Xiaomi launched last year. The surfaced images of the Mi 10 Pro show a curved display with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. There is a speaker grille at the top and bottom. As you can see from the images, there is no pop-up camera this time. We don\'t know from the images if the phone has an IR blaster or not, but we don\'t see any headphone port.

One of the images shows a 65W charger that means the Xiomi Mi 10 Pro 5G would be using the Oppo Reno Ace for the fast charging solution on Paper. There are no leaks about the battery size so far but we can assume that it could be around 3500mAh to 4000mAh. In the recent Snapdragon tech summit last month Xiamoi confirmed that the Mi 10 will be using the Snapdragon 865 chipset. So we can assume that the Mi 10 Pro 5G will be using the same chip. The images haven\'t been confirmed by official sources, so we can take these as another leak and wait for the day when it is finally released.

xiamoi mi 10

It took some time for Xiaomi to ship its latest Mi 10 5G smartphone in India because of the coronavirus situation in the country and all over the world but, finally, it was launched today. The main selling key of the phone is its extraordinary 108Mp camera, which the company takes lots of pride. The phone was already in the news for its camera specification but other highlights are its super-fast Snapdragon 865 processor, 5G support, and a 4780mAh battery which comes with wireless and wired fast charging feature.

The devices come with a 3D glass back design with corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection available in coral green and twilight grey colors. The Mi 10 features a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz display refresh rate. The smartphone has a multi-layered cooling chamber to cool down the device while you are playing video games on it. To supplement the hardware specs, the phone comes with much better software and apps integration. Google apps such as the Dailer, messages, and contact app will replace Xiamoi's apps to speed up the whole Android experience for the end-users.

The phone features a 108MP camera sensor that is much larger than the 48MP and 64Mp sensors that have been trending recently. There is also a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP portrait camera with auto-focus, and a 2MP depth sensor as part of the camera system. The Mi 10 can capture up to 8K video at 30fps and 4K video at 60fps. The phone has 128GB and 256GB storage. The phone doesn't have a 3.5mm jack and has a USB Type-C audio interface instead. The company also launched the Mi 30W wireless charger that is available at Rs. 1999 for a limited period and will go back to the regular price at Rs. 2299 after the discount periods end. The price in India starts at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB and 128Gb version while the other variant is priced at Rs. 54,999. The pre-orders have already started today.

Smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices make up mobile devices. With the digital age, mobile tech support is a need because people are relying on mobile devices to communicate with family, friends, and the workplace.

If you have any issues concerning your mobile device, IT support comes to the rescue. But how do you know that you need IT support?

Below are the signs you need mobile IT support:

Mobile Not Compatible With Business Communications System

Mobile devices are flexible alternatives to corded telephones or landline phones, and every business establishment should have dedicated mobile devices for faster business transactions. However, there are compatibility issues with mobile devices if you need to use them frequently for your business dealings.

For instance, Android devices are open source and are compatible with apps downloadable in Google Playstore. If you use business apps outside of Google Playstore, they may not be compatible with your Android devices, so you need IT support to ensure that your mobile and business apps, like doctor-client appointment app, match and are properly configured.

That's why you need to hire a professional IT support Colorado to help and assist you.

Hardware Issues

Smartphones and tablets are sometimes dropped, causing cracks, LCD issues, and touchscreen problems. If you have a malfunctioning mobile device caused by a fall accident, you need to have it repaired immediately to avoid the problem from getting worse.

Software Issues

Your mobile will definitely need IT support if it's exhibiting software issues. For instance, an operating system (OS) issue arises because of outdated software, which would require an update.

Below are some of the common signs of software issues needing IT support:

Battery Issues: Battery drain is a common software and hardware issue at the same time. Most often than not, batteries fail to perform at their maximum potential because of too many apps running. Unnecessary apps put a strain on the battery, so the best option is to uninstall the app.

Usually, a software update is needed to ensure that the app is up-to-date to avoid straining battery performance.

Connectivity Issues: Connectivity issues, like WiFi and Bluetooth issues, arise if there's a crowded channel or login issues. Usually, resetting your WiFi router can resolve the issue.

However, if you have a business mobile phone, you have to ensure that it's a hundred percent connected to your internet, and an IT support specialist can be contacted to check internet configurations.

Signal Issues: No network or signal issues can be a problem with your telecommunications provider. However, if signal problems cannot be ruled out, you need IT support to rule out the source of the problem.

The IT specialist will check if the problem is with device compatibility or a network selection problem.

Signs of Mobile Security Hacks

Mobile devices rapidly overtake home devices when it comes to the number of users. According to research, by 2020, the estimated smartphone users worldwide will be around six billion. It only goes to show that mobile devices are rapidly replacing desktop or personal computers, both at home and in the office.

With the increasing use of mobile devices, there's also an increase in the threat vector because mobile devices are now used in processing payments. Many users are at risk for mobile security problems.

Cybercriminals tend to capture credit card information and data on digital wallets because most businesses are now accepting mobile payments.

However, signs of a mobile malware attack are harder to determine as compared to cyber computer attacks - it's not as obvious or straightforward as a computer virus. That's why IT support plays a vital role in evaluating and resolving mobile security hacks.

Here are some signs of a mobile device malware attack:

Your mobile device suddenly starts to operate slowly.

Your smartphone battery drains faster than it used to or sooner as expected.

There's a sudden noticeable drop in the performance of your mobile device.

A sudden increase in your data usage because cybercriminals are trying to access the web to transmit data from your mobile phone.

A strange charge on your telecommunications monthly bill due to some malware making money by sending premium text messages from your mobile phone without your knowledge.

Storage Issues

Mobile devices have very limited storage systems. If you want to use your mobile devices as business tools, you need to hire an IT support to set proper storage configurations and provide you other storage options, like linking your mobile with the cloud storage.

Conclusion

Your mobile device is an essential communications tool, not only to connect with your family and friends, but also to your boss, colleagues, and clients. That's why any hardware or software issue should be addressed right away with the help of an IT support specialist. In that way, you have peace of mind that your mobile is operating smoothly and securely.

lollipop

Android Kitkat brought many storage problems and headache to the App developers, users complained about this many times and the only solution is to Root your phone to be able to transfer files from the Internal storage to the external storage (microSD cards). Google finally solved this problem with Lollipop.

microsd

Now with the release of the final version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, new APIs were added to allow apps to request full access to directories owned by other providers. These APIs have been improved to offer more capabilities than before, and they do it in a very user-friendly and secure way. You'll no longer have to Root your phone to access/modify your microSD data.

Here's what Google Developers said about lollipop shared storage devices:

Richer access to secondary shared storage devices
In KitKat we introduced APIs that let apps read/write file in app-specific directories on secondary storage devices, such as SD cards.
We heard loud and clear that developers wanted richer access beyond these directories, so in Lollipop we added the new ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE intent.
Apps can launch this intent to pick and return a directory from any supported DocumentProvider, including any of the shared storage supported by the device.
Apps can then create, update, and delete files and directories anywhere under the picked tree without any additional user interaction. Just like the other document intents, apps can persist this access across reboots.
This gives apps broad, powerful access to manage files while still involving the user in the initial selection process.
Users may choose to give your app access to a narrow directory like "My Vacation Photos," or they could pick the top-level of an entire SD card; the choice is theirs.

Chrome on Android has really come a long way since its release back in 2014. 22 versions have been created, each one more capable than the previous and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was the scene, on which everything started.

The team behind Chromium, the open-source project which powers the development of the Chrome browser, has announced that it is leaving behind the software's original Android 4.0 home, which will no longer be supported after version 42.

The team's motivation for this decision is more than justifiable bringing new features to old platforms simply takes too much time, due to increasing problems and significantly hinders future development. So, when you think about it, the move is all for the best. Here's the official statement from the Team blog:

"In the last year, we've seen the number of Chrome users running ICS drop by thirty percent. Developing new features on older phones has become increasingly challenging, and supporting ICS takes time away from building new experiences on the devices owned by the vast majority of our users. So, with Chrome's 42nd release, we'll stop updating Chrome on ICS devices. After Chrome 42, users on ICS devices can continue to use Chrome but won't get further updates." - Chromium Team Official Blog

G920X

Samsung has just published support pages for the upcoming smartphones, the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920X) and the Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925X), on its official Swedish and Finnish websites.

Sadly, These pages lack any images or information about the devices themselves, but it goes on to confirm that the dual-sided curved edge screen variant of the Galaxy S6 will be named as the Galaxy S6 Edge. We believe that SM-G920X and SM-G925X might actually refer to possible European variants of the devices the SM-G920F and the SM-G925F.

S6 Edge

Both these devices are expected to be officially unveiled on March,1st during Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event in MWC 2015. The devices are expected to feature QHD Super AMOLED displays, 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 SoCs, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 16-megapixel primary cameras with 4K video recording, 5-megapixel front-facing cameras, newer and lighter variant of TouchWiz based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and LTE Cat. 10 connectivity.

Galaxy S6

Samsung's latest flagships devices, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge offers quite an amazing camera quality but lacks in terms of functionality as it surprisingly doesn't support RAW capture, which is a must for any photography enthusiast.

The upcoming Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the S6 and S6 Edge will bring RAW support and will also allow users to use the full potential of the phones class-leading 16 MP OIS camera, but should also bring about a lot more manual control over the camera.

galaxy s6

Actually, RAW photo capture is not an entirely novice feature on the Galaxy S6 and its edged sibling. In fact, is we look back at some info from MWC 2015, in turns out the devices did have the functionality. But after the pair hit mass markets, it mysteriously disappeared. Perhaps Samsung wasn't quite ready to roll out the feature and there is really no reason for it to be absent, seeing how RAW support has been present in Google's own camera2 API ever since Android 5.0 Lollipop came out.

There is still no official information about Samsung's update schedule, but rumors have it that the Android 5.1.1 OTA update will start seeding as early as next month.

HTC Rapid Charger

HTC is getting ready to launch a universal USB charger that will allow select handsets to be powered up 40% faster than with regular chargers. Called HTC Rapid Charger 2.0, the accessory uses Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology which debuted last year on the Snapdragon 800 SoC, and is obviously included in newer chipsets.

While the HTC Rapid Charger 2.0 is compatible with all HTC smartphones, there aren't that many which can benefit from its faster charging abilities. For now, HTC is listing the following models: HTC One M8, HTC One M8 Harman Kardon Edition, HTC One E8, HTC One remix, and HTC Desire EYE. It's not clear if the HTC One M8 for Windows is also included here.

At the moment, HTC isn't saying exactly when the Rapid Charger 2.0 will be released, and neither how much it's going to cost. Anyway, it's probably safe to assume that its price will be roughly similar to the one of Motorola's Turbo Charger, which is currently sold for $34.99.

htc sense 7

After the launch of the HTC One M9, HTC Today has updated its Blinkfeed Laucnher in the play store with a complete new look and rebranding it to "Sense Home". The update brings Sense 6 users a bit closer to the Sense 7 UI.

sesne 7

Sense Home now integrates HTC Themes App, one of the features that debuted on the One M9, allowing users to create custom themes in order to give their phone a personal touch. Colors, fonts, icons and sounds all these can be changed. Besides creating their own themes from scratch, users can also browse and download high-quality designs from the app's catalog. Sense Home widget is another novelty: based on your location, the widget automatically shows your most frequently used apps.

sesne home

You can download the new Sense Home on the HTC One M8, as well as on the two-year old HTC One M7. However, not all features are available for the M8 and M7, as they require Sense 7 UI (which has yet to be released for the two handsets).

Verizon Wireless has officially roll out support the Samsung Pay, if you have a Verizon Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ or Note 5, you'll have proper Samsung Pay support now by doing a software update then download the Samsung Pay app.

At this time just five banking institutions are on board - American Express, Bank of America, Citi Bank, U.S. Bank and Synchrony Financial.

Bank support should be expanding over time, so you'll just have to be patient if your bank isn't supported just yet. But if you meet all of the requirements, you're now good to go with Samsung Pay!

In addition to support for Samsung Pay, the software update also brings along security fixes for the latest vulnerabilities.

Galaxy S6 has been considered prettier in comparison to its earlier versions because of the thin, sleek and shiny design. But ironically these are the features which make this phone not suitable for usage in harsh conditions like constructions or mining. Samsung took note of this and came up with a new variant with similar hardware configuration along with design changes.

So we have the Galaxy S6 Active, a rough and tough version of the phone that comes with a built-in case. Although it is not looking as good as the S6, but the phone body has a better build quality and it can sustain in bumpy conditions. The sad part is that the updates are rather slow and it is getting the upgrade to Android 5.1.1 quite late.

Along with the latest version of Android Lollipop, Samsung Pay will also be shipped to the device. The update with build number G890AUCU3BOJE has been released as an OTA, and it will be rolled out in phases, so it might take a few days before the users get a notification to update the software. To update the device manually you can always go to Settings » System » About device » Software and check for the update.

Although it isn't really a big surprise at this point, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S8+ is indeed real and it's coming on March 29 (probably). Yesterday, a support page for a Galaxy device with the model number SM-G955FD came online on Samsung's Indian site. As this model number pertains quite specifically to the upcoming Galaxy S8+, all doubts regarding its existence is now extinguished. Additionally, the model also confirms dual SIM support on the device.

Strangely enough, the page disappeared just a few hours after going live. It almost feels like Samsung is teasing the audience with multiple unofficial glimpses to the S8 series this year. First it was the phone in the Super AMOLED ads and now a short-lived support page. Whatever the situation might be, we are quite excited to see what Samsung brings to the plate ultimately when the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are launched next month.

If you are not familiar with the rumors regarding what the S8 is going to bring to the table this year, have a look at it here.

Do you like the Always-On Display? Or do you keep it off to save battery? Whatever your answer is, you will have to admit that it's one of the better appeals of Samsung's AMOLED displays and higher-end smartphones, but it's about to get even better because the AOD will now support GIF images!

If you have a Galaxy S8/S8+/S9/S9+/Note 8 updated to the latest version, then this feature should be available to you right now. Go into the gallery and open a GIF. Now, touch the three dots to bring up the menu, where you should select "Set as Always on Display image" and you are done.

There are a few things that you should know about the feature though and they are as follows.

·         .webp format is not supported, although it is becoming the new standard

·         Only GIF images are supported as far as moving images on the AOD is concerned

·         You will see the animation only once per lock and unlock

If you love your Samsung Galaxy watch, then you shouldn't upgrade your smartphone before getting a new watch in the new year. A notification in the Samsung Members app has notified users that the company's old wearable won't be compatible with its 2020 smartphones. "The existing service quality of older Samsung Gear wearables cannot be guaranteed and ensured through app updates alone," reads the translated notification. "Therefore, older Samsung Gear wearables can no longer be used in conjunction with new Samsung smartphones (from the year of publication 2021)."

The update has listed exactly 5 wearables that will be affected by the decision. The list includes the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, Gear S, and Gear fit. Fortunately, this rule doesn't apply to smartphones released in 2020. If you bought your smartphone this year, it will continue to support wearables. The announcement, however, will affect you if you are planning to buy next year's Samsung Galaxy S21 or any other future smartphone from Samsung. Interestingly, it doesn't mean that the company is dropping support to Android 11 and One UI 3.0.

Regardless, if you are considering an upgrade to your current smartphone, you may be also considering purchasing a new wearable next year as well. Samsung is aiming to remove the support for a handful of older hardware released as part of the Galaxy series. So, could Samsung prolong its support for its Gear fitness trackers? All of these devices are pretty old and it's been a few years since we have seen them in the market. These devices are almost 6 years old and it's not reasonable to expect Samsung to support these for much longer.

Reading a book on a small screen is not easy. Digital books can scale text according to screen size to ease the problem, but in case of PDF files and comic books which have fixed page size it won't be possible to scale according to screen size without having negative impact on the content.

Google recently announced an update to its Play Books app specifically designed to address this issue. Now Comic book lovers will have better reading experience in their favourite smartphone and tablets.

It focuses on better navigation by implementing a new vertical scrolling feature for comic books in landscape layout. All you need to do is flip the device on its side and scroll through the complete story using vertical swipes. Apart from this Google has also made it easy to search and discover new comics. The redesigned app now organizes series' by the editions, volumes and issues. You will be able to see all the individual issues and synopsis simply by tapping on a series. According to a senior product manager from Google, there would be personalized recommendations for new comics and series to the users.

On this occasion, for a limited period of time Google is offering some digital issues for free. In total they are giving away 44 comics including some of the all-time favourites like Batman and Spawn. According to Google, every Thursday there will be additional deals. google pixel 4a

A recent Google Camera APL teardown by the famous tech blog XDADevelopers hints that Google's next mid-range smartphone may have the 24fps video recording. The teardown was of Google's camera latest update - version 7.3.017 and it also includes a few minor tweaks to the app interface and functionality. The app reference towards Google's upcoming device - Pixel 4a. The codenames sunfish, redfin, and bramble appear next to a string titled "pixel_20_mid_range." These codenames could mean reference to the Pixel 4a development board and the other codenames refer to the actual upcoming Pixel 4a devices or it could mean nothing specific. All guesses are just speculation at this point.

The teardown report also suggests that possible 24fps video recording support coming to the Google camera app in the near future. There are two strings hitting at this feature. This could be exciting news for the people who look at the camera specs while making the purchase decision regarding the smartphone. As of right now, people can only record video in either 30fps or 60fps on Pixel devices, but 24fps is the standard frame rate used for film making.

There are a few features that landed in this Google camera update too. Google camera is currently rolling out to the Play store, so you can grab the update as soon as it is available for the users. The update completely reorders the camera apps setting men, pushing the flash settings toggle to the top of the device. It also has a new feature that automatically enables do not disturb mode during the video recording. This means there won't be any notification appearing on the screen while you are shooting a video using pixel 4a even if you forgot to enable it.

Samsung recently released its S Health app to users who don't own Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Now they have updated the app to make it compatible with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Currently there are very few phones like two Google Nexus phones and the HTC One A9 which are running on Android 6.0. But, it can be seen that Samsung is interested in supporting new version of Android from the very beginning. Also there is a good chance that they have plans to update the devices to Android 6.0 in the near future. But, let's not get too optimistic here.

This new update will include some elegant new features as well, for example - using sleep pattern for automated visual tracking of bedtime and wake-up time, the capability to search ANT+ and Bluetooth accessories along with smart route guidance for convenience while cycling on a selected path. As of now the Play Store is not showing the new update. But it would be updated soon after the improved and new S Heath app gets published. We can expect this very soon considering the fact that the new version of the app was published on the Galaxy Apps store two days back.

If you own a Samsung device, you get the updated app now from the Galaxy Apps Store. Otherwise, you can wait for Samsung to push the updated app to the Play Store.

The Xposed framework is a utility for root level users which can be used to make modifications and tweaks to different Android releases. If your device is rooted, this utility will let you browse and select from a large list of modules to change the performance and design of the Android based devices. Few months after upgrading the Xposed framework to support Android 5.1 Lollipop, the famous developer "rovo89" has posted new version of this framework to work with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

End users are required have rooted device with custom Recovery like TWRP to initiate the installation. Then you'll need to install Xposed manager app and browse through different modules in the app library to download them. You can also check out Google Play Store to install any individual module. Till now the Xposed version for 6.0 has been tested by the developer with SuperSU (a root access manager) installed and because of this some of the SELinux rules are disabled. Some of the modules and capabilities won't be supported by the newer version of SELinux. Owing to change in AOSP, the modules would need to be updated. Note that some Samsung and Sony smartphones are getting bootlooped.

It is recommended that you should take a full backup of the current system before installing this updated Xposed framekwork.

We have something awesome for you on this Friday morning: Instagram is actually testing the support for multiple account in a single Android device and some lucky folks have already got this feature in their app. What sets us back is that there is no such support in iOS devices. If you are thinking who would this feature, think about small and medium-sized business owners, community managers and social media marketing professional constantly managing multiple accounts. This feature will essentially diminish the need for mods like Instwogram.

News about this feature was released by our tipster on version 7.12.0 of the app. If this is not available in your device, all you need to do is to join the Official Play Store Beta testing program or download from APK Mirror. Go to settings and scroll down to the bottom of the list and you'll see "Add Account" option below Clear Search History. Tap it to open the option to sign in with another account or create a new one from beginning. After that, a selector next to the account nickname will appear on the top of the profile page. That's the place for switching both accounts (with a green toast message to visually show the change). In the settings, there is option to logout from individual accounts or all account at one go.

The Huawei Mate S is one of the recent Android smartphones to sport a pressure-sensitive display panel and Google's next iteration of the Android OS will come prepared to take advantage of such hardware. As of now, we know about an Android N feature called Launcher Shortcuts that will be the first to do so. It is to be noted that recognition of pressure-sensitive inputs are actually not new to Android as it was present even in the time of Android version 1.0.

Rumors and facts suggest that Huawei could be making one of the next Nexus smartphones for Google, especially if one considers the fact that Huawei had recently reserved the name Huawei 7P through copyright protection. Since Huawei is already running Force touch, coupled with the fact that Android N is now going to support similar functionalities, it seems quite likely that the upcoming Nexus might sport pressure-sensitive touch.

Although the number of currently available Android smartphones which have the necessary hardware to support this feature are limited to only the Huawei Mate S, Vernee Apollo and ZTE Axon Mini, Android 7's native support for pressure-sensitivity will definitely open up opportunities for developers to create applications based on it. Keep in mind though, that none of the smartphones mentioned are likely to get an Android N update very soon. What this means is that with the advent of the new Android, we will probably see fresh Nexus devices and smartphones from other partners of Google, launching with pressure-sensitive panels.

Android M

Google I/O 2015 is about to start with the big announcement of Android "M" developer Preview. Google might announce native support for fingerprint scanner in Android M version (6.0). although the company declined to comment on that. Ars Technica found commits in AOSP for Nexus 6 for a fingerprint sensor, which Google has been working on on the software side. The Nexus 6 was also supposed to have a fingerprint sensor but according to Motorola ex-CEO Dennis Woodside, Apple bought the one good company that made those.

With native fingerprint scanner support in the OS, all the apps can tap into it and use it for authentication. You would be able to use it for your Play Store purchases, or Google Wallet authentication, or for apps like 1Password, Authy, Dropbox, OneDrive, Simplenote, or any other app that allows you to use a passcode lock, and that currently use Touch ID on iOS, can be used with the fingerprint scanner if they add support for it on Android.

fingerprint

Currently very few Android phones have a fingerprint scanner, with only the recent Galaxy S6 and S6 edge having implemented it the right way, but we could see more devices in future if Google does decide to include it in Android M.

Chrome Beta

Google has just Updated it's Chrome for Android Beta to version 38 on the Play Store with many changes. It's not a major update unlike the v37-beta update that brought us the Chrome Materiel design UI. According to the Chrome release blog Chrome Beta v38 includes additional Material Design user interface elements and new support for Android's battery status and screen orientation APIs.

chrome 38

Version 37 of Chrome for Android was the biggest update in a while, at least in terms of user experience, but the march of progress never ceases. Version 38 just hit the Play Store, and while it's not exactly earth-shattering, people who obsess over the bleeding edge of Google browsers will find something interesting.

Chrome beta

If you're running Android L on your Nexus 5 or Nexus 7, you might also see a new option in the Settings menu. "Merge tabs and apps" would seem to indicate the kind of functionality that we've seen in "Project Hera" and confirmed at Google I/O. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work yet. SystemUI has been crashing periodically since we've turned that slider on.

Google Now Launcher

Google has just updated the Google Now Launcher to version 1.1.0.11 on the Play Store. This new version brings some minor bug fixes and makes the Launcher available to all Devices running Android version 4.1 or Higher. Before this update this Launcher was exclusive to Nexus devices and Google Play Edition devices.

The Google Now Launcher is just an APK that lets the Google Search app become the home screen, but Google was holding back official compatibility until now. The Launcher should offer to import the layout from your old launcher as well. You can download it directly from the Play Store from the link below, but first make sure you updated your Google Search App to the latest version too.

Super SU pro

Chainfire's SuperSU App, one of the most popular "poweruser" tools for Android, which allows you to gain root access and manage root permissions for the apps that might need it, has just been updated with a substantial update. The most recent version of the app (v2.35), is the first full update ever since 2.01, which rolled out in the beginning of June.

SuperSU v2.35 is a substantial improvement of the app for several reasons. The most important one is the app's now fully compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop. Chainfire reveals that it has been quite hard to find a viable workaround for hopping over the hurdles that Google has implemented in SELinux, along with everything else that prevented SuperSU from gaining root access. However, the app might still have issues with some of the early unofficial Lollipop builds that have surfaced for select Android warriors of late.

c

Apart from this, the user interface of the SuperSU app has been slightly refreshed in accordance with the Material Design guidelines. Chainfire says that he's made only slight imporvements over the previous layout, as the full adoption of Material Design is not "a top priority at the moment". But let's be frank here, folks the beauty of SuperSU does not lie in its interface, but in the under-the-hood features that it has in tow.

accuWeather

AccuWeather App for Android has received an update which enables it to work on Android Wear Smartwatches. The update is currently undergoing a phased rollout, so if you have the app and don't yet have the new version, it should make its way to you within a few days.

AccuWeather won't simply show you weather notifications on Android Wear. Instead, it has full support for the wearable platform.

That means you can open the app from your watch, check out current conditions, the daily forecast, precipitation levels, and you'll even get weather alerts on your wrist. You can use voice recognition to open the Wear app, and you get to the different sections of AccuWeather by swiping.

sheets docs slides

Today, Google updated its Docs, Sheets and Slides Apps to version 1.4 with some improvements and bug fixes to be a perfect replacements to the canceled "Quickoffice" App.

slides

In this update, Google focuses more on the editing tool and functionality of the app. Here's the official change-log for the version 1.4 of Google Docs and Google sheets Apps:

- Support for selecting, cutting, copying and pasting text along with images, tables, and charts in Office Compatibility Mode.

- Ability to insert links in Google documents.

This look is consistent across Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Another change that appears across all three apps is the addition of an "Incoming" section in the sidebar that consolidates all of the files that other people have shared with you. Google slides is still on version 1.2 and will be updated soon.

docs4

In Docs in particular, a new "Make a copy" option has appeared under "Share & export" that lets you create a new document using the current one as a template. It's a feature that makes much more sense if you don't use a blank document.

One of the biggest gripes with sharing photos via messaging services had always been the limitations which these apps automatically put on the shared images. WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and almost all messaging apps usually compress high resolution photos which causes them to lose significant quality. That is no longer the situation with Facebook Messenger because the new updated app can now support images with resolutions of up to 4,096 x 4,096 pixels, which is about the size of photos shot with a 16.8-megapixel camera. As most modern smartphone cameras shoot at near or below that resolution, it's safe to assume that smartphone photo sharing will now become lossless (mostly).

Facebook decided to up their previous 2-megapixel limit on the messenger app in light of the 17 billion photos which are being shared each month on the app. We would say that it's about time too because 2-megapixel was a seriously low limit for smartphone cameras today! Let us know if you like this move by Facebook, we sure did.

Oneplus recently announced in the official forum that Marshmallow will be supported by its devices in the first quarter of 2016. Oneplus 2, currently running on Oxygen OS will be upgraded to Android Marshmallow in Q1, 2016. This will bring native support for the finger print sensor via the new Marshmallow API. The post also shed light on the company's plan to switch over to standard Android M implementation, although in case of OxygenOS it was requested to create an API.

When it comes to Oneplus One smartphone, it will get the upgrade to Marshmallow from Cyanogen OS in the same time in 2016. As per Oneplus, it has also released a community build of Oxygen OS and it will be upgraded when the time will be right. It will be worthy to note that OnePlus also offers Oxygen ROM for the OnePlus One, but this will get the Marshmallow update at a later point, after the Cyanogen OS release.

According to sources, Oneplus is putting a lot of effort to bring Android Marshmallow to its recently launched Oneplus X devices. But, any specific time frame is yet available. Looking at the update plans of One and Two in first quarter, it can be estimated that in Q2 Oneplus X might get the update.

google play ad

Google said it's time to monetize the its incredibly popular Play Store Apps, the tech giant will add supports to a unique ad-supported suggestion system.

These ads in question will only be present within the search results in much the same way you see results being pushed to Google's web search. So you might start seeing suggested apps pop-up in you Play Store searches. These will look almost identical to other results but will be marked with a little "Ad" label (this means the publisher paid to make this App on the top of thel list).

google play

This initial beta test will consist of apps from developers, already using Google's advertisement platform. It is also important to note that at this time ads will only appear in search results and not on any home page or app section.

In November, 2015 Huawei announced that it would launch its next model in the Mate series - the Mate 8. This Mate device boasts an all-metal body with a 6-inch screen (1080 x 1920 resolution), 64-bit Kirin 950 SoC developed by Huawei itself, 3 GB / 4 GB RAM backing, and 32 GB / 64 GB of internal storage space which can expanded via microSD card to stretch up to 128 GB. It features a 16 MP primary camera, mated with a Sony IMX298 sensor, phase detection auto-focus, and a robust tri-axis optical image stabilization, and an 8 MP selfie camera. Mate 8 is powered by a powerful 4,000 mAh battery, which seems marginally smaller than the 4,100 mAh battery present in the Ascend Mate 7.

At CES 2016, Huawei has just unveiled that the phone is getting launched today, January the 5th. Although the availability of the phone is in different locations is not yet known, sadly it won't be available in the US market. As per an earlier leak and an FCC visit, it is speculated that Huawei might be planning a launch in the States sometime in 2016.

Pricing of this device will depend on region and official figures are yet to be known, but going by previous leaks, the Huawei Mate 8 will begin at $470 (2,999 yuan) for the 3 GB RAM, 32 GB storage variant, and reach $580 (3,699 yuan) for the 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage variant. Although there are rumours about a 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage variant costing $690, till now the chinese device maker has not made any official announcement.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is the top-notch chipset to date, expected to premiere on various flagships early next year on CES and MWC expos. It will offer an octa-core 64-bit processor, new Adreno 430 GPU and brand new Qualcomm modem.

The initial announcement specified the LTE support as Cat 6, which translates into 300 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink. The LTE race has been rapidly advancing since and Samsung is already rumored to be prepping an LTE Cat 10-enabled Exynos chipset for the Galaxy S6.

SD 810

Qualcomm has previously confirmed it will be adding LTE Cat 9 capable modem for the Snapdragon 810 chipset and it will eventually make it to all Qualcomm flagships in 2015. The testing process is now happening in the UK, with the help of Huawei and the EE network. This means EE will be among the first carriers to upgrade its network with the latest LTE tech.

LTE Cat 9 stands for 450 Mbps download and up to 50 Mbps upload. The alleged Exynos 6 Samsung chipset with Cat 10 will offer the same downlink, but the uplink is doubled at up to 100 Mbps.

SD 820

Qualcomm just released more details about its upcoming Snapdragon 820 Soc that will be included on all 2016 flagships devices starting by the ned of this year.

A major missing puzzle piece was connectivity and at today's Qualcomm event in China it became clear that the Snapdragon 820 will offer top-notch mobile data bandwidth up to 600Mbps downstream and 150Mbps up over LTE-Advanced (X12 LTE). Also Wi-Fi 802.11ad will be supported for next-gen local connectivity.

snapdragon820

The Snapdragon 820 will use four custom 64-bit Kryo cores, so no more standard Cortex solutions. The Kryo processor has been manufactured via Samsung's 14nm FinFET process, so it promises to go easy on the battery as well. And speaking of the Korean tech giant, rumors hint that it is already busy testing the Snapdragon 820 for integration inside the next Galaxy S7 flagship.

The company also confirmed that the new chips will support its latest Quick Charge 3.0 standard. The technology claims to be 27% faster that version 2.0, while using less power will help preserving the health of the battery pack longer. More details are coming, stay tuned.

Rumors have had it since last year that the next iPhone will come equipped with wireless charging capabilities, but it seems like Apple is going to take it a step further. Honestly, Apple has not exactly been a pioneer when it comes to features in their smartphones for quite a while now. That being said, they do put a new twist to every tech they implement and that is why Apple products usually stand out from the crowd.

One might wonder, what is so "cutting edge" about wireless charging? It's something that we have seen being implemented in plenty of Android smartphones in the past. Apparently, the answer to that question is distance. The new wireless charging technology will allegedly make it possible to charge your iPhone 7 from a significantly longer distance than it is possible now in any phone that supports wireless charging. If the reports are correct, development of this technology is ongoing as Apple continues to work on it in collaboration with their Asian associates.

Reports were neither very clear nor very specific because they do not tell us how this new tech would actually work as wireless/inductive charging as we know it, requires the phone to be placed on the charging pad. In fact, they even indicate that there is a possibility that the iPhone 7 may not have this piece of technology.

The good news is that we do have one established fact that supports the rumors. In 2012, an application for patenting something related to Near-Field Magnetic Resonance (NFMR) was submitted by Apple and it involves charging devices from about a meter away. If anything, we at least know that the technology is in development for quite a few years, which makes it all the more likely to be implemented in the upcoming iPhone 7.

Apple

There is no doubt the new Apple iPhone 6 and especially the Apple iPhone 6 Plus are aimed at the flagship Android devices. Tim Cook himself admitted in a recent interview that it is an opportunity for them to switch people from Android to iOS, and they are doing everything they can to win back those people who they lost to Android because they didn't have a big screen phone.

Well, other than just having a big screen phone, Apple is also helping out people who might be on the fence to switching over. One thing they did is put up a support page on their website that details how you can go about migrating your content from your Android phone to an iPhone.

The page talks about various things, from emails, contacts, calendar entries, photos, videos, music, books, documents, and apps, and how you can move them from your current Android phone to an iPhone using various methods. So far, we have only seen Android OEMs do this to help you migrate your data from an iPhone to their device and for the first time, the tables have turned.

Anybody who knows Apple and the way they build their stuff may initially laugh the idea off, but there's actually quite a solid reason as to why some reports are indicating that the next iPhone may indeed support two SIM cards. Apple has just secured USPTO Patent No. 9,521,563, which clearly indicates that Apple is definitely considering dual-SIM capabilities for its future iPhones. The official statement regarding the patent is as follows.

"System, apparatus, and method for controlling access to multiple antennas in mobile devices having multiple SIMs."

Keep in mind that this does not in any way confirms a dual-SIM slot for the iPhone 7, but yes, it does mean that the Cupertino giant is considering it. Perhaps, they are doing it to support multiple generations of SIM cards on one handset. By the way, in case you are wondering if one of those SIM card slots is going to be a hybrid micro-SD card slot, let us tell you that it isn't even a possibility by any stretch of the imagination! Apple just doesn't do expandable storage as that would mess up their "business model of simplicity."

For a change, we are not talking about any rumors today but we are most definitely talking about a leak and trust me when I say that it's a big one. This one doesn't come from any external Chinese sources or reliable leaksters, but straight from mouth of the Horse itself.

While speaking to the media at the Annual Shareholder's Meeting, Robert Hwang spoke the following words, "Assembly process for the previous generations of [iPhones] have not changed much, though new features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing." As Hwang is the CEO of the company (Wiston) which assembles the iPhones for Apple, this pretty much confirms two things; waterproofing and wireless charging is definitely coming to the iPhone 8.

This accidental leak by Hwang is the second one in recent history as Allen Horng, the CEO of Catcher Technology had let one slip about Apple shifting to a new type of glass chassis with the iPhone 8, back in 2016. Let's hope we get a few more before the actual phone is released a few months later.

Windows 9

Windows 9 is close to announcement (September,30th) and the leaks of some of the new features have already started cropping up. Today's leak shows us something that looks like a new centralized Notifications center and a new Multi-Desktops feature.

We already showed you the leaked video of the revamped Start menu, but this time the same source has shared demos of the new Notification center and the Multi-Desktop feature, which will be part of the new edition of Windows.

Windows 9

This demo is reportedly based on Windows 9 Technical Preview version, so the look and feel of these features is anything but final. We recently saw a bunch of screenshots showing these and other new features.

IE 11

Microsoft would be updating its IE software to protect against older, malicious plug-in malware. The catch was, the new updates would leave older versions of Internet Explorer without any updates or support any more. New info reveals that Microsoft is going to be pulling the plug on older versions of IE.

This is a move to get users to update to the newer software offered by Microsoft, which explains that IE 11 is a faster, more secure web experience, and that users are halting the progress of developers who need to spend time coding for older web technology that doesn't play nice with modern web tech.

So, When will Microsoft finally decide to pull the plug? January 12th, 2016 and after that, the company will no longer support any versions other than the current IE build: IE 11. Microsoft even provided links to users to different resources that assist with browser migration.

spartan web browser

Surprisingly, The upcoming most-needed Project Spartan web browser by Microsoft will support Extensions, in the same way as Google Chrome. The development team behind Project Spartan has confirmed the news on Twitter.

Extensions will arrive to Project Spartan via a future update. Details on the nifty feature are yet to be revealed. Reportedly, Microsoft is reviewing options that will allow developers of Chrome extensions to port their creations to Spartan with no hassles. Such a move will help Microsoft quickly build a significant catalogue of extensions for its newly announced offspring.

spartan web browser

Project Spartan is arguably as significant an announcement as Windows 10 itself. The browser will be part of the latest OS by Microsoft for both mobile and desktop devices.

Online casino games are covering many people through its accessibility and amazing features which are not available in the land-based casinos. The UK's casinos like Jackpot Mobile Casino are providing the online casino games which are compatible with various gadgets such as desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones and so on. We have listed some of the gadgets which are great in supporting casino games:

Personal Computer

Online casino games started its journey from desktop computers. This was the time when thousands of themes came into existence. Graphics and animations made its way to the casino games and changed the appearance of the casino. Desktops allowed the players to access the casino anytime as they wish. Also, the live chat option allowed the players to compete with other players from all over the world. This made the game more challenging and interesting.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones have revolutionized the lives of the people. It has almost become one of an integral part of our life. The number of people accessing mobile casino games online is increasing day by day. The hardware's of mobile phones are improving at an exponential scale. They provide more flexibility and comfortability. It allows the players to access their favourite casinos right from where they are at any time.

Tablets

Tablets offer almost the same feature as the mobile phones except for the bigger screen ratio. Tablets provide bigger screen sizes than mobile phones. This allowed casino players to cherish even the minute details of the casino games. Bigger screens helped people of different ages to play casino games without any difficulty. Also, bigger screens delivered better impact on the players. Casinos such as Jackpot Mobile Casino offer online casino games which work flawlessly on tablets too.

Smartwatches

The number of companies involved in smartwatch technology is increasing because of the increasing demand in the market. Apple recently released its Apple watch series 3 which has an independent cellular data connection. This allows the players to use internet on the smartphone without using the phone. In future, this could pave the way for smartwatch casino.

Gaming Consoles

Gaming consoles are no more a thing of past. They are being revived in recent times with advanced features and elements. These handheld gaming consoles are also portable and are more efficient in gaming. Since these are specially made for gaming purpose they deliver better gaming experience when compared to most of the other devices.

In future, there could be a gaming console specifically made for casino gaming. This could bring back the old days where gaming consoles were the most used devices for gaming purposes. Gaming consoles aren't limited to handheld gaming consoles. PlayStation and Xbox also come under the category of gaming consoles. Though there is a debate in which is better, for a long time both are capable of handling high graphics games and are also equipped with hardware which can support intense gaming.

It is quite hard to predict the devices of the future. Since the casino market is expanding we can expect new gadgets which will support online casino games with ease.

Facebook Messenger already had it, and now Google Messenger has GIF support too. Additionally, the GIF support is now built into the default Google Keyboard, although, no other app supports the feature as of now. While you are reading this, keep in mind that the feature is only be available on your phone if you are running Android 7.1 Developer Preview.

Just in case you are running the Developer Preview on one of the compatible devices, here's how you can use the GIF button in Google Messenger. Once you bring up the keyboard, locate and tap on the emoticon button. Now tap on the GIF button to bring up the GIF menu with a few highlighted choices like "Thank you," "Sorry" or "Wink." If the desired category cannot be found, simply type in the right category and search for it.

Although it is solely compatible with Messenger at the moment, we are pretty sure that support for more apps such as Gmail, Hangout and may be a few popular third party apps too will arrive in the final version of the Android Nougat 7.1 OS. The "Image Keyboard Support" is a nice new addition to the upcoming OS, albeit a non-essential one.

HTC One M8

Yesterday the European variant of the HTC One M8 got the Android 4.4.3 update with a minor GPS fix, and the Android 4.4.3 seeding continues on the Indian flavor of the HTC One M8. In addition to the new OS version, the One M8 for India gets support for 4G LTE networks, connectivity optimizations, and updates over default Sense apps Camera, Gallery, Settings and Sync Manager.

The update also improves on the BoomSond, Motion Launch and Extreme Power Saving Mode. If you are using the HTC One M8 for India, your update should be waiting for you already. It s size is about 660MB, so it will probably take a while before the download process finishes.

LG v60

LG has been silent for some time but recently it launched a new phone, the LG V60 ThinQ after a long time now. LG was scheduled to launch the phone at MWC 2020, but since the event got canceled due to coronavirus, the company decided to announce the online press release, instead of holding an event at an alternative day or place. The phone that was once supposed to be the LG G9 ThinQ has now been revealed to be the LG V60 ThinQ.

The flagship smartphone has to compete with the Samsung Galaxy series, as it is launched around the time Samsung decides to release the Galaxy S series. The V60 ThinQ is a premium handset with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It is a big phone with a 6.8-inch display and has a 5000mAh battery that allows your phone to last for a whole day. The device also has a dual-screen accessory like the last year's device and LG G8X ThinQ. There are a few interesting decisions that LG made with the hardware as well. The phone is made of Gorilla Glass 5 and has an 83.1% screen-to-body ratio. The phone has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that is expandable using the microSD card slot. The device has a 5,000mAh battery and comes with fast wireless charging.

For security, the device has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device has 64MP primary sensor, 1/1.72″, 0.8-micron, f/1.8, 78-degree FOV, OIS, Dual Pixel PDAF, pixel binning to 16MP with 1.6-micron effective pixel size. The second camera is a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor, 1/3.4″, 1.0-micron, f/1.9, 117-degree FOV, Dual Pixel PDAF. LG V60 ThinQ can record video up to 8K at 26fps, or 4k at 60fps. The 4k video recording comes with a time-lapse and AI time-lapse feature. There is also an option for video bokeh and portrait. The front camera is 10MP, 1/3.1″, 1.22-micron, f/1.9, 72.5-degree FOV. The phone comes with Android 10 operating system out of the box. If you have used an LG phone before, do tell us your experience with us in the comment section below.

Samsung has pushed an unexpected and quick Android 6.0.1 update to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. Although it is still in beta, it seems like a huge update to bring practically all of 6.0.1's functionality to these two smartphones, in addition to a few ‘cherry on the cake' improvements for the Edge. If you're a beta user, you can enable this by going to Settings > About device > Software update.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow's most visible enhancement is the expanded set of emoji, and this beta release gets all of them to Galaxy S6 models. Functionality wise, we're seeing some fine-tuning and UX improvements in the notification panel. The Private Mode has got quick setting options that helps users navigate quickly. Users can now opt for "install overnight" feature which will automatically download and apply updates at night (2am to 5am) thereby minimizing usage disruption.

The settings for Edge panels have become highly accessible. In Android 6.0.0, to enable or disable various panels, user had to enter each specific panel's submenu and toggle them on and off. Now in the main menu there are checkboxes, to help you quickly select active panels. The "Tasks" Edge panel has become highly customizable and seems to work like a very stripped down version of Tasker, letting you set profiles based on situations/locations and quickly complete tasks through a set of assignable shortcuts. Still this is in beta, and there is no official word on stable release of Android 6.0.1 to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

Samsung lollipop

Samsung's TouchWiz UI is included on all its devices, it's interface has improved a lot lately but it's functionally and customization-ability still needs improvements. Finally, it looks like Samsung decided to make it easier for TouchWiz to customize their phones.

With Android 5.0 Lollipop, Samsung will add theming support to the New TouchWiz UI to offer the ability to quickly change the look of the device and often goes beyond just changing the UI Colors, wallpapers and icons. As you can see on the photo above a "Themes setting screen" is visible on the Galaxy S5 running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop build from Samsung.

Samsung lollipop

It's not clear how extensive the customizations via the Themes will be or which devices will get the new functionality presumably the current and last year's Galaxy S and Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Alphas too. Another change is that the S Finder button has been moved to the upper left corner and the Quick Connect button is gone.

This will save some space in the notification area. This Update should hit unlocked Galaxy S5 devices Later Next Month (December).

Owning a low-end smartphone is never pleasant, it doesn't matter which Android smartphone manufacturer you choose to be honest, but it never feels nice to report that an OEM has officially stopped supporting one of its handsets. Samsung has just updated its security updates page and among other things, Android Police found that the Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy J1 (2016) and Galaxy J3 (2016) has been removed from the update page, signaling that the three handsets from two years ago are no longer supported.

In case you are wondering what that means, it basically means that if you own any of these three smartphones, it's time to think about buying something else because they will likely not be receiving anymore updates of any kind from the OEM. Sad as it may be for owners of these models, it was expected, given that Samsung doesn't support any of its low-end models, post the two-year mark. At the same time, the Galaxy A8 (2018), Galaxy A8+ (2018), Galaxy J2 (2018), and Galaxy Tab Active2 were the latest additions to the update page.

Check out our firmware section to find all the latest updates for your Samsung smartphones and tablets.

galaxy-s6-edge-february-patch

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge was released back in April, 2015 and although the handsets were flagships at one point of time, they should by all means, become outdated models in 2019. However, that's not quite the situation at all in the real world because quite a large number of users in the US and around the world still use the two devices quite regularly. Perhaps in realization of that fact, Samsung is continuing to support the two devices by providing it with periodic security updates even four years later!

The Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are receiving firmware versions  G920FXXU6ESA1 and G925FXXU6ESA1 respectively in UAE and it contains the February patch from Google and Samsung. Personally, I love how far Samsung has come from its earlier days as far as providing support is concerned. In fact, SamMobile suggests that this could be an indication of Samsung's decision in favor of not removing its older smartphones completely from the update programs, but instead, continuing to update them on a quarterly basis.

s0-fast-charge-update-25w

As of now, all three of the Galaxy S10 smartphones come with a 15W fast charger inside the box, and while that is pretty fast, it isn't the fastest. Quan Guixian (President of Samsung Mobiles in China) has reportedly confirmed the fact that all currently available phones in the Galaxy S10 family are soon going to support fast charging via a 25W charger. The update will be sent to the devices via OTA, but you will still have to pay for the 25W charger though!

The Galaxy S10 5G, which will be released on April 5, already has 25W charging support, alongside the Galaxy A70, which was just launched a few days ago, but has not been released in the market yet. Let us know if you are happy with the 15W charger you already have, or are you willing to shell out some extra cash for the new 25W charger.
