Samsung Galaxy A72 is the upcoming mid-range smartphone by the company for the first half of this year. We are getting news about its mass-production and release since December last year, but there weren't many leaks about the specs of the phone. Now the latest wave of leaks has provided us a clearer image of what to expect from the phone.

The Galaxy A72 will feature a 4G network connectivity with an option for 5G but we don't know about the 5G yet. The Galaxy A72 shares a similar design to the Galaxy A32. while the latter features a completely flat camera on the rear panel without any significant hump, the Galaxy A72 features a slight placement. In terms of specs, the A72 features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 2400x1080 resolution with a 90Hz display refresh rate. We had a previous leak that suggested having a higher refresh rate display to the mid-range smartphones. The phone will allegedly feature an in-display fingerprint scanner to prevent unauthorized access to the phone.

Internally, the Galaxy A72 will be powered by the Snapdragon 720G processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You can further extend the storage capacity of the phone with microSD card slot. The phone features a 5000mAh battery. The phone features a 64MP primary camera sensor joined by a 12MP ultrawide camera sensor, an 8MP 2x telephoto camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. The phone has no depth sensor around this time around. Upfront, a 32MP selfie camera sits in a punch hole. The phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack, IP67 water and dust resistance, and Android 11. There is no news on wireless charging support - a feature that was missed on the Galaxy A71. The phone is expected to go on sale for $599.
