HMD Global announced today that it is launching the Nokia 8.3 5G in the USA as the Nokia 8V 5G UV via Verizon. The original Nokia 8.3 5G was released early in March 2020 and was expected to reach the US market somewhere around fall. The latest phone from Verizon wireless also bears the logo seen on its other Nokia's devices, with the UW suffix signifying support for the faster mmWave 5G speeds.

The device also supports Verizon 5G Nationwide, the carrier's recently announced sub-6Ghz low band 5G network. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, said that the device is the company's "first affordable flagship carrier device on Android in the U.S.".

As for the specs, the phone features a large 6.81-inch full HD+ pure display screen with support for HDR. the Nokia 8V is powered by a Snapdragon 765G and comes with two 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage options. You can also expand the storage option with the MicroSD card. The phone has an aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass front and back, and there is a three mmWave antenna in this phone, designed to give you perfect reception for those lightning-fast speeds.

The phone features a quad-camera setup at the rear side with ZEISS optics. The primary camera holds a 64MP sensor accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle sensor with night mode for improved low-light performance, a macro lens, and a full-depth camera sensor. There is a Google Assistant button on the side of the display panel of the phone which runs on Android One software. The phone has a power button along with a fingerprint sensor. The phone runs over a 4,500mAh battery. The Nokia 8V 5G will hit the market starting from November 12. You can purchase the phone just for $699 on Verizon's website and the My Verizon App.

It seems Verizon has been developing Android Marshmallow update in the background. They are rolling out the latest version of Marshmallow for the LG G3 and flagship G4, as well as HTC's One M9 devices. Those where were eagerly waiting for this update can now enjoy the new Android flavor.

The Over the Air notification will connect with your device within a few more days. Then you'll be able to continue with the install. As usual your device needs to have at least 50 percent of full charge, and Wi-Fi connection is always recommended. Apart from that you should also keep a backup of your important data. This is a good way to avoid data loss if anything goes wrong while updating the smartphone.

There is an option to get the update manually. To go ahead with this, open up the Settings app on the LG G3 or G4, then browse through the following:

About Phone → Update Center → System Updates → Check for Update. In case of the HTC One M9, use the following steps: Settings → System Updates → HTC software update → Check Now.

Following Verizon, today T-Mobile is also about to release Marshmallow support to users of the HTC One M9. But, there is no info as of now on whether it's still on track. T-Mobile's LG G4 Marshmallow upgrade was initiated few week back, while the G3 is still in the waiting list.

Verizon Link 1 / Link 2 / Link 3

In their own words, if you are a Verizon customer who consumes an "extraordinary amount" of data while using their unlimited data plans, the company will force you to switch over to The Verizon Plan by August 31. If you decide not to change your plan even after the warning and the deadline, your connection will be cut off from the network. After the connection has been shut down, the customer will be able to activate their connection back within fifty days, on switching over to some other Verizon plan than before.

It should be noted that Verizon Wireless had stopped with the unlimited plans a long time ago and this is a ploy to bring the remaining subscribers into one of their new data plans. Although they did mention that they will only contact customers who are using too much data on a monthly basis, no exact number was revealed. However, this makes one wonder, how one can possibly use too much data in a plan that's been marketed as "unlimited?" Whatever the logic at work over here might be, this is how the situation is right now, as reported by Droid-Life.

The HTC 10 was recently announced by Verizon and they were the first carrier in the US to do so. However, Sprint has just joined in the action with more details about the phone and a clear release date. The Sprint version of the HTC 10 will be available from May 13 on contract and at zero down payment. There will only be a monthly charge of $26 for two years (24 months) as per the contract. Sprint also added that the highly acclaimed smartphone will be using their LTE Plus network for superfast internet speeds. Verizon will still be the first carrier in America to start selling the HTC 10 via pre-orders accepted only through their online store.

The HTC 10 was received very well around the world by techies and the excellent reviews have created quite a bit of demand for the handset in USA as well. If you are not particularly familiar with HTC's flagship smartphone for 2016, you might find them to be quite impressive. Chamfered edges and a metal body hide the powerhouse Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC within, while the front hosts a 5.2" Super LCD 5 display (1440p) at 565 ppi. There is also 4GB of RAM onboard which seems to have become a standard for all flagship devices this year. HTC has significantly slimmed down HTC Sense 8.0 this year and as a result, the experience feels almost the same as stock Android 6.0.1, albeit with a few added features. There are also the famous front-firing HTC BoomSound speakers and a built-in fingerprint scanner inside the Home button.

Fortunately, most Android smartphone manufacturers went back to the drawing board and gave their smartphones an expandable memory card slot. This holds true for the HTC 10 as well, so you can now increase your phone's storage by an additional 200GB. You will of course get an internal memory of 32-GB to begin with. The 12-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, f/1.8 aperture and dual-tone LED flash was highlighted by HTC as one of the best features of the smartphone. Not to be outdone, the selfie cam is a 5-megapixel ½.3" sensor with 1.55µm pixel size. The 3,000 mAh battery supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 and once fully charged, is reported to provide the user with 27 hours of talk time, along with a standby time of 456 hours.

Did the impressive specs of the HTC 10 get you excited? Do the positive reviews make you want this phone even more? Or will you give this one a pass? Let us know what you think.

Verizon is really getting into the new HTC One M8 the carrier will give you two m8 for the price of one! Verizon has a pseudo-exclusivity on the new flagship as it's the only carrier that has it in its stores.

Anyway, the deal is you pay $200 and get two HTC One M8's. That, of course, means you'll have to sign two contracts, so it's really just $200 off.

ver

A separate promotion will give you $100 bill credit when activating a new service, Same offer applies to some other Verizon phones too.

Verizon Website

Verizon Wireless has officially roll out support the Samsung Pay, if you have a Verizon Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ or Note 5, you'll have proper Samsung Pay support now by doing a software update then download the Samsung Pay app.

At this time just five banking institutions are on board - American Express, Bank of America, Citi Bank, U.S. Bank and Synchrony Financial.

Bank support should be expanding over time, so you'll just have to be patient if your bank isn't supported just yet. But if you meet all of the requirements, you're now good to go with Samsung Pay!

In addition to support for Samsung Pay, the software update also brings along security fixes for the latest vulnerabilities.

There is general consensus that Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a beautiful phablet. The device has garnered great reviews and secured top spot among the smartphones currently available in the market. That said the Gold Platinum version looks more attractive than the plain Note 5. It gives a sense of "luxury product" because of the golden design. You can now grab the new variant from AT&T or Verizon. In fact, T-Mobile had listed the model a couple of weeks ago but because of unknown reason that page not been accessible. We're not quite clear whether or not that page will become live once again.

You can get the 64GB Gold Platinum model for $839.99 from AT&T. There is a zero downpayment on a 30-month installment plan with $28/monthly fee. With a two-year agreement, this device can be bought for $349.99. Verizon is offering only the 32GB Gold Platinum which costs less expensive at $696. With $0 downpayment for qualified customers, you can avail of the phablet for two years with a $29 per month payment. Both of the mobile carriers are offering $300 as credits or discount if you move to this device and exchange current one. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 comes features a 5.7 inch HD display screen, Samsung-made Exynos 7420 Octa-core 64-bit processor, 5MP front-facing snapper, 6MP camera in the back, and Samsung Knox security.

The SM-N930V has now surfaced on the internet as the smartphone's Geekbench results have just been revealed. In case you didn't know, the N930 is the model number of the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 and the V at the end stands for Verizon, as always. The results reveal a few things, but the most significant and slightly disappointing fact which it unveils is the SoC of the upcoming device. It seems like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be using the same Qualcomm SD 820 chipset as the Galaxy S7, and NOT the rumoured 821/823 chipset. The device also has just 4GB of RAM, instead of 6GB, which it is largely expected to have on release.

Now, there are two theories about the disappointing CPU and RAM seen here. The first theory suggests that this is just a test unit which is being used to test out the networks on Verizon and the final version will sport the SD 821/823 SoC and 6GB of RAM. The second theory states that there will be both 4GB versions with the Snapdragon 820 processor and 6GB versions with the enhanced processing power. We will just have to wait to find out for sure when the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is released on August 2.

It was only a matter of time before Sprint and Verizon launched their own "buy one, get one free" offer for the Galaxy S7 as AT&T and T-Mobile already had launched their own. There is a catch however, if you even consider it a catch that is. As of now, Sprint is not offering the Galaxy S7 Edge as a part of this package but only the regular Galaxy S7. Nonetheless, if you are keen on picking up a Galaxy S7 Edge from Sprint, you will get it at half the retail price from them.

Sprint has even incorporated the Galaxy Forever lease program into both their offers. This particular program allows you to exchange your old Galaxy device for the latest one, after just twelve months. The lease on the other hand will continue as before until the contract ends or you decide to keep exchanging as future Galaxy smartphones keep launching.

Verizon has taken a slightly different approach when compared to Sprint because they are offering both the S7 and the S7 Edge in their Buy-One-Get-One-Free offer. In fact, they have actually taken it a step further by allowing the customer to get both devices at the price of one. What this means is that you can buy a S7 Edge and choose to take a regular S7 instead of another S7 Edge as the free device.

If you are considering any of these offers then keep in mind that they all require the customer to get into a contract with the concerned company and the offer will take anywhere between eight-ten weeks to get validated via a prepaid card. We urge you to go through the terms and conditions carefully before taking a decision. There is now denying though, that these offers do make the S7 series of smartphones seem like much better value for money products.

Sprint  | Verizon

As expected, Verizon has now joined AT&T and T-Mobile in the decision to stop selling the Galaxy Note 7, at least for a while. It was quite expected as the news reports about new and safe Galaxy Note 7s exploding have been piling up since the last week. In addition to that, various reports are also suggesting that Samsung themselves may have halted the production process of the phablet for now. The good news is that if you own a Galaxy Note 7 then all the three carriers are offering a free replacement, as long as the value of the new smartphone is equal to or less than that of the Note 7. The offer is applicable on both older models, as well as the replacement units.

After the Southwest Airlines incident and the bedroom fire in Lexington, Sprint is the only major carrier in the US which is still continuing to sell the Note 7. Although we would advise against buying a Note 7 at this time, to be truthful, it would be very hard to find one as well. Even if you do however, hold onto your money at least until Samsung comes out in the open with a statement.

Saikat Kar (tech-enthusiast)

The exact verdict on whether or not the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which caught fire onboard a Southwest Airline place is actually a new and safe (supposed to be at least!) unit is still unclear, but the effects of the incident are already evident. All the three major carriers have updated their contract policies in such a way that a customer can exchange even their already-replaced and supposedly safe Note 7 for any other phone of their choice as long as the model is priced equally or less.

Verizon's exchange offer is now active, starting today (October 8), and Sprint has declared that the same offer will remain active until the investigation concludes. If it is found that Samsung is really guilty of sending explosive devices once again to its customers, the steps that will be taken in reaction to that info are unclear at this point of time. If you already have a Note 7, we recommend at least checking out the other options, but if you are planning to buy one or if you are a diehard fan, just wait till things become a bit more clear.

Note Edge

Verizon, the largest U.S. carrier, has just launched the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge on its network. Verizon is offering the Note Edge for $399.99 on a two-year Contract or $799.99 unlocked.

Beside its amazing curved display on its right edge, the Galaxy Note Edge is similar to the the Galaxy Note 4, which features a Snapdragon 805 chipset with quad-core 2.7GHz processor and a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (515 ppi). It packs a 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and packs in a 3,220 mAh battery.

Samsung has now made an official announcement that they will issue an update in the United States for the Galaxy Note 7, which will make the smartphones useless. Once the OTA file is downloaded and installed on the Note 7 (automatically), users won't be able to charge the devices anymore, which will eventually, turn it into an expensive brick. The update will go live on December 19 and it's yet another attempt by the OEM to bring the rest of the potentially dangerous smartphones which are still operational in the US, back to the company. More recent reports are indicating that the same move will also be taken in Europe.

Verizon on the other hand, has officially declared that they will not be issuing the update on their network as they do not want people to lose contact with each other or the emergency services during the holiday season.

"We will not push a software upgrade that will eliminate the ability for the Note7 to work as a mobile device in the heart of the holiday travel season. We do not want to make it impossible to contact family, first responders or medical professionals in an emergency situation."

Verizon has the sole right to sell the Google Pixel phones as a carrier, but T-Mobile has a deal for you that might just tempt a few of the Pixel phone owners towards committing to T-Mobile for the long run. If you have a Pixel, a subscription to T-Mobile's Unlimited One plan will earn you a bill credit of $325. Considering that it will shave off half the price from the 32GB variant of the Pixel ($649) and the price of an additional mid-range smartphone from the cost of the 32GB Pixel XL ($769), this plan already has the attention of the customers.

However, before you start getting to excited about the offer, there are a few stipulations that you must take into account. Firstly, the Unlimited One plans start at $70 per month and in spite of being touted as "unlimited," it downgrades videos to 480p resolution, as well as throttling tethering speeds. Secondly, you WON'T be receiving the entire $325 in one bill credit; rather, it will be evenly distributed over the course of 24 months, at a rate of $13.55 per credit. Finally, in order to avail this offer, you will need to sign up for it within 30 days from your Pixel's date of purchase.

Considering the insane price tags on the Pixel phones and especially the Pixel XL, will you go for this plan? More importantly, will it actually benefit you and suit your needs?

Saikat Kar (tech-enthusiast)

Fran Shammo, the CFO of Verizon has declared in an investor conference yesterday, that "At the end of the day, people don't need unlimited plans." At a time when T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are offering unlimited data plans to their customers through various packages, this particular statement by the high-ranking official clearly shows that Verizon thinks that their competition are misguided! He defended his opinion/decision/statement by pointing out that Verizon's "customer friendly" plans might have data caps but they are simpler, offer high speed data tethering and unthrottled video streaming.

As if the above statement was not embarrassingly clear enough, Shammo also added, "You cannot make money on an unlimited video world." Now with this statement, one can say that Verizon is bordering on or has already crossed the line marked "corporate money grab." He even called users of unlimited plans "abusive" as they tend to use a lot more data and impact the quality of the network for everyone around them. There is no doubt that Verizon is the leading carrier in the country and it seems that it does not think that this decision or these comments will affect their business in any way. Do you agree with Fran Shammo, or will you be moving to a more "abusive" data plan from another carrier?

After T-Mobile updated its version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 last week, Verizon has now decided to do the same. After downloading and installing the update, the flagship smartphone from 2014 will be upgraded to firmware version MMB29M.G900VVRU2DPD1 and base Android version 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Famous features like Google Now on Tap, customizable app permissions, Wi-Fi calling, revamped app icons, Ultra-High-Quality Audio, Doze and Android for Work are expected to make their way on to the Galaxy S5 with this update.

We found the Wi-Fi Calling facility to be particularly interesting which allows both incoming and outgoing calls over a Wi-Fi network when mobile networks cannot be reached. It needs to be activated from Settings> Advanced Calling> Activate Advanced Calling. After that, turn on HD Voice and Wi-Fi Calling, which you should be able to see on the same page once you Activate Advanced Calling.

If you have already seen the notification for this update, download and install it now, via a reliable Wi-Fi connection. If you have not seen any such notifications, don't worry as it always takes a while before an OTA update reaches all smartphones within the target area. Feel free to check manually from Settings> About device> Check for updates.

We have further good news for Verizon customers as more Marshmallow updates begin to roll out from Verizon. This time, the carrier is updating the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to Marshmallow after it rolled out the same for the S5 yesterday. Even though this is the first tablet from Samsung to get the latest version of the OS, it may not be the last (hopefully!).

After downloading and installing the package, users will be able to add pictures and drawings in the Tab S2's Memo app. Also expected are customary new functions that come with most Android M updates like app permissions management, Google Now on Tap and Doze. Apparently, the Tab S2 will also get a few interesting added features in its gallery and email applications.

You can check manually for the update from Settings> About device> Check for updates if you want to, but you should any way be notified automatically once the update arrives on your smartphone Over The Air. Post the download and the installation of the update file, your Galaxy Tab S2's firmware version will change to MMB29K.T817VVRU2BPE1 and the base Android version will upgrade to Android Marshmallow.

HTC M8

HTC's Vice President of Product Management Mo Versi has announced in a tweet that Android 4.4.3 is coming to Verizon's version of the HTC One M8 on Wednesday, September 10th. In addition to the higher release number, the over-the-air update will also include the long-awaited Extreme Power Saving mode.

HTC M8

This update will land a week after the feature arrived, ironically, on Verizon's version of the HTC One M7. With this OTA, a feature that debuted with the global launch of the M8 will have managed to hit every other version of the handset and last year's flagship before making it to Verizon's. Even for the Big Red, that's something to be proud of.

According to a report by GSMArena, the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid have started to receive the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update on Verizon. It has not yet been officially declared by the carrier, but reports are being received from reliable sources which confirm the authenticity of this news.

If your Moto Z Droid or Moto Z Force Droid is being prompted for the update, connect to your Wi-Fi and prepare for the download as it's a huge one at around 1.5GB. Once you have downloaded and upgraded the package successfully, the firmware version on the Moto Z Droid should change to NCL25.86-11, while on the Moto Z Force Droid, it should show NCL26.86-11.

Although the installation should only take about twenty minutes on its own, the downloading time will of course vary, depending on the speed of the connection. The upgrade will bring multiple improvements, as well as new features to the two Moto devices, namely the App Quick-Switch and the Split-Screen mode. As always, Lenovo Moto becomes one of the first manufacturers to provide the latest version of the Android OS officially.

If you own a Galaxy S6 Edge+ or a Note 5 on the Verizon network, you will soon receive a notification prompting you to update your smartphone. There is a good chance that you have already been notified, but even if you hadn't, you will be very soon. Alternatively, one can always check manually by going into Settings >About device > Check for updates.

The post Marshmallow update includes both security patches and general bug fixes, in addition to overall improvements. Notably, the misleading "No SIM card detected" error often encountered on the Note 5 will be fixed. You can also expect improved audio routing for better experience in call quality during both voice and video calls on the two smartphones.

In other news, Verizon's version of the LG G5 is simultaneously receiving an update via OTA as well. Unfortunately though, the monthly security patches have not been included in that update. It was mentioned in the change-log that the package will bring "enhancements for Visual Voice Mail, Airplane Mode and reporting Microsoft Exchange Active Server data usage." Hopefully, another update will be rolled out with the necessary security patches soon enough.

The latest patch update has been released for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge on Verizon and it addresses a severe issue that needed fixing. The two Samsung flagship handsets from 2015 had a tendency to perform automatic Factory Data Reset if they failed to recognize the fingerprint multiple times in a row. Normally, the failed attempts should lead to a screen where the preset PIN number must be inserted in order to access the phone, but a bug caused the smartphones to skip that step entirely and go straight to Factory Data Reset. As one can imagine, that could be extremely inconvenient and thankfully, this patch solves that issue successfully.

As it stands now, on failing to register his/her fingerprint as the authentic one for fifteen times in a row, the S6 or S6 Edge will prompt the user to enter the preset PIN, like it should. If however, the wrong PIN number is entered five times in a row on that screen as well, the smartphone will perform an automatic Factory Data Reset to secure all user data from the intruder. Once you download and install the update via Wi-Fi, the firmware version should change to MMB29K.G920VVRU4CPF2 for the Galaxy S6 and MMB29K.G925VVRU4CPF2 for the Galaxy S6 Edge. The older flagships from 2014 have just started to receive the January security update from Verizon. This list of the lucky handsets consists of the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge and the Galaxy S5. If you own a Galaxy S5 under Sprint, you will get the same January update as well from your carrier, but Sprint has not yet rolled it out for the Note 4 and the Note Edge yet.

The update comes in at roughly 30MB or less for all the three handsets and will address the 67 bugs and security issues just as all Android SMR updates for January do. However, this one will also fix 28 additional problems found only on the Samsung smartphones. You will find the firmware version numbers below, pertaining to the specific smartphone models.

We have strange and unfortunate news for Verizon users today, if you happen to be a part of Samsung's Android Nougat based Galaxy Beta Program for the S7 and S7 Edge. Verizon has officially decided to stop supporting the program altogether for reasons unknown to us. What this means is that any device that's enrolled into the program and under contract from Verizon, will not be receiving any further updates sent out by Samsung as a part of the Galaxy Beta Program.

"Dear Customers, Verizon will stay on the original software for the remainder of this trial. Beta trial users will be upgraded to the commercial N release when it is available early next year. Thanks, Galaxy Beta Program Team"

The users are now left with the choice of either using the current version of the Nougat build with no further upgrades until the final firmware is out and rolling, or they can downgrade back to the stable Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware. If you are not on Verizon though, you don't have anything to worry about. All other carriers and unlocked versions are still supporting the program to the best of our knowledge.

The January security patch has now officially started to roll out to the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 on Verizon. One may argue that it's already February but it's better late than never. Surprisingly, it was the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge which had received the SMR update a few days earlier than their newer counter parts. The firmware versions have been listed below respectively.

Galaxy S6 - G920VVRS4CQA3
Galaxy S6 Edge - G928VVRS3BQA1
Galaxy Edge+ - G925VVRS4CQA3
Galaxy Note 5 - N920VVRS3BQA1

Wait till you get a notification or search manually for the update from your settings menu, but it may take a few days before it reaches every device in the US, that's being carried by Verizon. The ROM files are not yet available for download, but you can always check out our firmware section for the latest updates that are available anytime you want.

Finally, as we almost near the end of the month, the April security patch for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have finally arrived for Verizon users. The software version is NRD90M.G930VVRU4BQC5 and along with the Android Security Maintenance Release for the month, it also adds a few custom changes from the carrier and the manufacturer as well.

Users of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on Verizon will now be able to use Verizon's One Talk feature, which had been missing from the two handsets up until now. In case you are not aware what the One Talk feature is exactly; it basically allows a user to connect his/her mobile and office device to one registered Verizon number. You will also find Knox Mobile Security as an option on your device after the update. Reportedly, it updates the Amazon shopping application on the two devices to v8.1.1 as well.

We know that the Galaxy S5 is an old device now and its users are probably lucky that they are still getting the monthly patches, but it still feels odd to report a handset getting security patches for the last month! I mean, wouldn't it be better if they just released bi-monthly updates for these older devices on time, rather than rolling each month's update out so late?

It was expected that the S5 would be getting the update though, given that it continues to remain the most popular Samsung handset in the country. G900VVRU2DQH2 is the version of the firmware that's rolling out to Verizon users, so if you are on Verizon and you still use the Galaxy S5, do check to see if it has arrived for you handset yet. When it does arrive, it will bring fix 12 vulnerabilities found on most Samsung smartphones and Google's own patches to 28 vulnerabilities in the underlying Android OS.

By now, anyone who is even mildly concerned with his/her smartphone's security, knows about the infamous BlueBorne attack and thankfully, Samsung has patched it on all its major handsets. In fact, Samsung had patched it with the August SMR even before Google released the official BlueBorne patch along with the September security update. Unfortunately, it had led many users to falsely believe that the new Note 8 was susceptible to the attack because it didn't have the September security update.

Now Verizon has also released the necessary patch to protect the Galaxy Note 4 against the BlueBorne threat with firmware version N910VVRU2CQI2, which will arrive on the handset via OTA. This also contains all other necessary security patches to keep the aging Note 4 safe from external threats. Just in case you are not aware what the BlueBorne threat is, know that it is a Bluetooth based hack which allows hackers to take control of any device with remote code execution via Bluetooth. Once the hacker gains access to the device, they can basically do anything from installing damaging codes to stealing private data stored on the smartphone.

The Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy Note 5 just got updated to the latest security patch from Google on Verizon. While it would be last month's patch in just a few more hours, it's good news that Verizon at least managed to push it out on the last day of the month. This almost covers the entire 2015 flagship line-up from Samsung except the Galaxy S6 Edge+ but it could also be getting the same patch anytime now.

Aside from fixes for 61 vulnerabilities and bugs in the base Android operating system, the update will also patch the infamous KRACK Wi-Fi susceptibility which had been bugging Samsung devices  since early November. Additionally, there are also fixes for six problems in Samsung's own UI which runs on top of the Android OS. If you have already received the update, do let us know if you find something we missed. If it isn't there yet, it will be in a couple of days at most.
