A recent Google Camera APL teardown by the famous tech blog XDADevelopers hints that Google's next mid-range smartphone may have the 24fps video recording. The teardown was of Google's camera latest update - version 7.3.017 and it also includes a few minor tweaks to the app interface and functionality. The app reference towards Google's upcoming device - Pixel 4a. The codenames sunfish, redfin, and bramble appear next to a string titled "pixel_20_mid_range." These codenames could mean reference to the Pixel 4a development board and the other codenames refer to the actual upcoming Pixel 4a devices or it could mean nothing specific. All guesses are just speculation at this point.
The teardown report also suggests that possible 24fps video recording support coming to the Google camera app in the near future. There are two strings hitting at this feature. This could be exciting news for the people who look at the camera specs while making the purchase decision regarding the smartphone. As of right now, people can only record video in either 30fps or 60fps on Pixel devices, but 24fps is the standard frame rate used for film making.
There are a few features that landed in this Google camera update too. Google camera is currently rolling out to the Play store, so you can grab the update as soon as it is available for the users. The update completely reorders the camera apps setting men, pushing the flash settings toggle to the top of the device. It also has a new feature that automatically enables do not disturb mode during the video recording. This means there won't be any notification appearing on the screen while you are shooting a video using pixel 4a even if you forgot to enable it.

The Last of Us 2 is an interesting game that many people are questioning whether or not it is actually coming. People are excited about a potential sequel to the first game because the first game was so critically acclaimed. Naughty Dog didn't completely finish off the story, so there is still some more that could be told. In the meantime, Naughty Dog made a deal with one of the studios to turn The Last of Us story into a Hollywood Blockbuster... The Last of Us Movie is in the works and may "in-production" as soon as 2016.
According to the creative director for The Last of Us, Neil Druckmann, he says that the game has a 50/50 shot of being made. He says that Naughty Dog hasn't decided if they will make the game yet. It seems as though Naughty Dog has to figure out which direction they want to take the game. There is certainly many different possible directions that they could take the game, it is just they have to be careful when making a sequel. The Last of Us was such a story driven game that it could be difficult for Naughty Dog to easily make sequels to the game.
It's not set up like Call of Duty where players expect a sequel to come out for the game every year or even every few years. We do have some information that The Last of Us 2 could be being worked on. The former lead character artist for Naughty Dog, Michael Knowland, accidentally left some information on his LinkedIn profile that could indicate there was work being done on The Last of Us 2.
In his profile, it was shown that he was working on prototyping initial character models for The Last of Us 2. At one point, quite a few employees left Naughty Dog when the director of the Uncharted series, Amy Hennig, left the company. The surge of employees leaving the company could have slowed down the development of The Last of Us 2. Naughty Dog has previously said that they didn't want to make the sequel star Joel or Ellie at all, but added that they were still looking at a few different possibilities for The Last of Us 2.
Next time you are using Wi-Fi on your cellphone, or connected to a 4G LTE signal, keep in mind that the person you need to thank for these innovations is an actress who received a patent in 1942 for "spread spectrum technology" that is currently used in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G LTE technology. The actress was born in Austria as Hedwig Kiesler and you might know her as Hedy Lamarr.
Besides her talents as an actress, Lamarr happened to be born with an incredible mind. After marrying one of the richest men in Austria, Friedrich Mandl, she would end up at her husband's side as he would have dinner with men like Hitler and Mussolini. Mandl was the largest arms manufacturer in Austria and the topic at the dinner table would sometimes revolve around radio-controlled missiles and torpedoes.
While pretending to be bored at these dinners, Lamarr actually soaked up the information. After running off to America, she became one of the country's biggest movie stars toiling for MGM during the 1940's. But at the same time, she developed a wireless communication system that couldn't be jammed. Her goal was to help the Allies defeat the Nazis. Back then, most wireless systems used one frequency which made it easy to block. The actress came up with a way for the message to be sent over another frequency if the original one was jammed. "Frequency hopping" was the term that was used to describe the technology.
