Many experts had stipulated that in order to make up for some of the loss that the Note 7 disaster had inflicted on Samsung, they may release the Galaxy S8 earlier than expected. However, that theory was put down today when a prominent Samsung official stated, "Currently we do not have any plans to release Galaxy S8 early." What this means is that the S8 will probably be released during the Mobile World Congress 2017 at Barcelona, Spain in February, as expected. In fact, they even plan to start with South Korea and then move on to its international release from March, 17 as always.
It should be noted that another theory regarding the elimination of the Note brand was thwarted today by Samsung as well. In the meanwhile, a Blue Coral variant of the S7 Edge will be launched in South Korea on November 4, which will come in 32GB or 64GB versions. The 32GB variant and the 64GB variant will be priced at 924,000 KRW ($815 approx.) and 968,000 KRW (850 approx.) respectively, but the international release date remains unconfirmed.
"Although we planned to release Galaxy S7 Edge Blue Coral model to global markets at the same time if possible, schedule for release dates of each country has changed due to current situation of supplies." - Samsung Electronics.

It has hardly been a few weeks since the Galaxy Note 8 was released to the public last month and we already have a number of leaks on our hands that seem to be pointing at some interesting details about the Galaxy S9. While it is still too early to be judging them for reliability, leaks do have a tendency to be notoriously correct these days, even the earlier ones. Whatever the situation may be, we have listed the details rumored so far in points below for you to enjoy.
· There will be two version of the S9 as always (S9 and S9+) with curved panels
· Model numbers on the two versions will be SM-G960 (S9) and SM-G965 (S9+)
· Initial firmware versions will be G960FXXU0AQI5 for the S9 and G965FXXU0AQI5 for the S9+
· They might be launching the two devices in February at the MWC 2018
· Both devices will have a dual camera setup similar to the ones seen on the Note 8 smartphones
· A Foldable smartphone hailed so far only as Galaxy X might also be launched alongside the two in Korea

A few days ago, a rumor began circulating that the Galaxy S10 will be launched quite early and as a result, it would be released early as well. However, it is to be noted that the same rumor circulated about the Galaxy S9 as well, so we would not recommend taking this one too seriously. You can argue that the Galaxy S9 was indeed launched early as compared to the Galaxy S8 but that's only because the Galaxy S8 was delayed intentionally to iron out all the battery issues that ruined the infamous Note 7. Traditionally, Samsung has always released the S series of flagship phones near the last week of February and the S9 just got back on routine this year after the exception of the Galaxy S8. Therefore, the January launch date which a report by The Bell seems to indicate is unlikely.
Some are of the opinion that this change in schedule might be brought on due to the impending release of Samsung's first foldable smartphone next year, but things are way too vague at the moment to give any credence to such reports. We will keep you updated as things develop.

Last year, a lot of Smartphones makers jumped into the Smartwatch Market, and apparently in 2015 we can expect some more of that. Specifically, it looks like those companies that haven't yet presented a smartwatch will do so soon. The honor of being first to do that this year goes to Alcatel.
That's because what you can see in the image above is the Alcatel OneTouch Watch. TCL (the company owns Alcatel brand) is obviously quite proud of it, since it decided to semi-announce it a few days before the CES 2015 event.
That doesn't, however, mean that we get any details about it alongside the picture. Presumably every spec will be unveiled next week, but before then we can see that the Wave 2 comes with round touchscreen. At least 4 strap options will be available. This Watch will be Available for purchasing in the upcoming months.
The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V will finally be out on November,18th. There's a big caveat, though: this release date only applies for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The PC will be relesed on January 27, 2015.
That represents quite the delay, as previously Rockstar said all three versions would be out this fall. Alas, that won't be the case.
To celebrate the announcement of the official release dates, the company has published a new trailer for the game, which you can see below. It's also released a bunch of new screenshots, one of which is pictured above.

Originally scheduled to be released on December 6, the first update file to Android 7.1.1 Nougat is already being rolled out by Google to a very specific smartphone; the General Mobile 4G. We are surprised that instead of the Pixel or the Pixel XL, it was the General Mobile 4G (Turkey) that received the update first.
The file contains the latest Android SMR patches right up to the month of December. Since there have been no announcement or post from Google about this yet, we are not entirely sure about all the details as of now. Nevertheless, the screenshot you see below was taken of a General Mobile 4G phone, which shows us that the update will be a 240.6MB download. Keep in mind that the files will greatly differ in size, depending on the model concerned. For example, Vodafone Australia had earlier declared some details about the upcoming Nougat 7.1.1 upgrade for the Nexus 6P and that was a 650MB OTA download.
Other devices that are scheduled to get upgraded to Android 7.1.1 directly from Google are the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus Player, Nexus 9, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Head over to https://forum.youmobile.org/downloads/ to find all the latest updates for your smartphone.

The Wi-Fi only variant of the HTC Nexus 9 is already available on stores. Today, T-Mobile announced that it will begin offering the LTE-variant of the HTC Nexus 9 in Early December in all 3 colors (Black, White and Sand). The 64-bit Tegra K1-packing slate will be available with $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $24.99.
Outright pricing of the LTE Nexus 9 is not mentioned, though a quick calculation of the monthly installments reveals that the Big Magenta will be asking $600 for the tablet. The 4G device is solely available with 32GB of built-in memory.
The LTE Nexus 9 will be available through T-Mobile Underground. This particular section of the carrier's online store is reserved for products, which are available in limited quantities.
YouMobile was the first to publish a list of the Samsung devices that will officially receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update which is scheduled to start by Early Q1,2016. This Major update will pack many security improvements to Android platform and TouchWiz as well.
Today, a screenshot leaked online claims that it shows a very early build of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) in Hungary. We have already checked all Samsung KIES servers (both normal and test-Mode) but didn't find any 6.0 build firmware released Over-the-air (OTA).
This might be a very early Marshmallow build firmware or just a fake screenshot of a cooked ROM, we are still investigating this. However, we can confirm that Samsung has NO Official Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware build ready for release yet.
Samsung is working hard on bringing Android 5.0 Lollipop to all its devices. We got the (Phase 1) official list of the Samsung devices that will be updated to Lollipop. The list shows many of the latest Samsung devices, some are still under development, some awaiting approval.
According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S5 will get the Lollipop Update during December,2014. Samsung Galaxy S4 (I9500) will get the same update Early,2015 which will be the first Exynos device to get the Lollipop.
The Snapdragon 600 version (I9505) should be getting it sometime later on, the Galaxy S4 Active (I9295) should be getting at the same time since the internals are basically the same. There are also Snapdragon 800 versions - the Galaxy S4 LTE-A (I9506 and some local versions) and the Galaxy S4 Active LTE-A. Those are essentially based on the Galaxy Note 3 with S800 platform (the Note 3 with Exynos uses a different chipset than the I9500).

We had already reported last week that Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Wi-Fi variant (SM-T700) has started getting its Official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and the update. Today, we got confirmed reports indicates that the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE variant (SM-T705) will start receiving the same Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update by Early May.
The reason behind the delay for the LTE update is because the 4G connectivity of the tablet and especially the carrier variants always requires more testing than regular Wi-Fi variant. So, if you own an LTE-variant of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 you can expect to get the update OTA in the next 2 weeks.
As you may know the update will be staged roll-out which means it will take long time to reach all regions but you can still get it by flashing the official Lollipop Firmware. So Keep your eyes on our Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (LTE) section on YouFirmware, we updated daily with Samsung's latest official Lollipop Firmwares.

Can you guess which device we are talking about? Well, you don't have to because we will tell you! The Galaxy J3 (2017) has started to receive the security update for April in Netherlands and Luxembourg, but we wouldn't be surprised if certain other European countries have also begun to receive the patch by the time you get around to reading this. While Samsung has been pretty much on time recently with the monthly security updates, it's still March, so it's actually very surprising to see the April security patch arrive for the Galaxy J3 (2017) so early!
In fact, this makes the Galaxy J3 (2017) not only the first smartphone in Samsung's arsenal to receive the update, but the first phone till date from any OEM to receive the April patch! That includes the Google Pixel phones as well and they are always the first devices to get the monthly patch. Furthermore, Google themselves have not detailed the April security patch yet, so nobody has any idea what this patch contains and protects against!
