Finally, Samsung announced the long-rumored long-waited Galaxy ALPHA. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is Now Official is Russia, it was released on a glitzy yachting event in Moscow. The Alpha is supposed to be revealed on an event this month to go on sale during mid-September to compete with the iPhone 6 on the markets.
The announcements was not very public, the original images from the event were taken down but we managed to get some photos. We also got a poster of the final official specifications of the this premium Metallic "Alpha" phone.
Samsung Galaxy ALPHA will pack Exynos 5 Octa chipset, 4.7" 720p display, 32GB of non-expandable memory, and Android 4.4.4 out of the box. A 12MP camera, 2.1 selfie front-camera, and 1,850 mAh battery are also tipped to be on board. All this laong with a full metal premium Quality body. Check the hands-on Photos below.
Samsung Galaxy ALPHA Photos
The Galaxy tab S3 is one of the premier Android tablets in a world where Android tablets are becoming rarer with each passing year. Most companies have stopped manufacturing premium tablets and even the companies like Samsung that do release a model every now and then, have stopped releasing them outside a few selected regions. However, with the Tab S3 just being released in Russia, fans from other countries can have their hopes up a bit too. Both the LTE and the Wi-Fi only variants have now been listed on the company's website in Russia.
Unfortunately, the price of the tablet in Russia is alarmingly higher than what it costs in the US or the UK. The 32GB Tab S3 costs around $599 officially in the US, while the same variant will cost someone picking it up in Russia, a whopping $965/RUB 54,990! That's $365 more than the US version, but they are identical to each other in every way. I am not sure how much of that is import duty, but whatever the reason may be, if the price difference is that much in your country as well, you are probably better off avoiding it. The Google Pixel will likely be a better deal if you can leave without the S-Pen, provided that's even available in your region of course.

Samsung had just recently rolled out Android M to the Galaxy A7 (2016) in Russia and now it's time for the A5 (2016) to get the same treatment. After you download and install the hefty update, your PDA (build version) should change to A510FXXU2BPF9 and your CSC (sales code) should change to A510FOXY2BPF9. Also, you should now be able to see Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 as you base Android version.
As is the case with all Android Marshmallow updates, features such as Doze mode for a better battery life, Google Now on Tap and the ability to control app permissions individually are all expected to arrive to the A5 with this update. If you are in Russia, you should be receiving a notification prompting you to update your A5 any moment (if you haven't already). But if you want to check for yourself, go to Settings > About device > Software update and give it a try. If you do not see any available updates, do not worry because it will take a bit of time before all devices in Russia receive the package.

Surprise! Samsung is Now Rolling-out the Official Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Update for the Galaxy S4 starting with Russia. This long-waited update finally brings Lollipop to the 2 years old flagship device, the rest of the regions will follow in the upcoming weeks with the same update.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Lollipop 5.0.1 Update brings many new features, major performance enhancements by removing all the bloat-ware apps (e.g. Play Movies, Play Books... etc) from all S4 devices to optimize the memory (RAM) usage. The Update also brings lockscreen and heads-up notifications, and a redesigned interface. The OTA Package of this update is quite big, about 1 GB in size.

Samsung is continuing the release of official Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update to the Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 after it was put on-hold due to urgent bugs on the update. The new update release packs many Bug fixes and performance Enhancements with the latest Android build 5.0.1 on board.
Currently this update is Rolling-out in Russia Over-the-air (OTA) and via KIES and wights about 1.4 GB. Samsung added some Material Design to the TouchWiz UI, lock screen widgets, notification and stock Apps too.

We reported before that Samsung is working on Android 5.1 Lollipop updates for various devices including the Note 4 and Note Edge. The device has already got 5.0.1 Updates before.
Today, reports confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910C) official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is Rolling-out in Russia. The update is currently only available Over-the-air (OTA) and there is no firmware available in KIES servers, yet.
Galaxy Note 4 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update packs various bug fixes, security improvements and performance enhancements. Other regions should also get the same 5.1.1 update in the next few days, Galaxy Note Edge should get the same update in the upcoming few weeks.

We have exclusively reported before that we received official confirmation that Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 & 8.0 variants Lollipop updates will start rolling-out by Early July.
Today, Samsung has just started Rolling-out the official Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 3G (SM-T331) variant. The Update is Available Over-the-air and via KIES in Switzerland. Other regions and Wi-Fi variants will get the same update during July. Also the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE variant and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 Wi-Fi varaint got the same 5.1.1 update few days ago.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update has a build version [T331XXU1BOF9] and a build date of [June 25, 2015] which indicates its a very fresh build, the OTA package size is about 900 - 950 MB depending on your carrier. The update packs better 3G connectivity, new TouchWiz UI with Material Design UI, new lockscreen, improved widgets and homepage, new notification panel, improved settings page, performance and stability enhancements, security improvements and various bug fixes.

Reports from Indian and Russia have confirmed that the Nougat update has started being rolled out to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in the two countries. It is impressive how fast Samsung is rolling out the Nougat update across various countries around the globe this year and we hope that this is a trend which will continue. If you are in India or Russia, check for the update manually from Settings> About device > Software update. Even if it is not there yet, rest assured that it will be there in the next few days.
The firmware comes in at an expectedly huge size of 1285.64MB for the Galaxy S7 and 1290.74MB for the Galaxy S7 Edge. The version of the firmware meant for the Galaxy S7 is G930FXXU1DQAZ, while G935FXXU1DQAZ is the version of the firmware released for the Galaxy S7 Edge. It was both surprising and disappointing to see the Galaxy A3 (2017) being released by Samsung without Android 7.0 Nougat onboard. However, it also meant that the phone would soon be receiving the update from Samsung. Although it can't exactly be called soon anymore, in case you bought the device, you should be glad to hear that Nougat is currently being rolled out to the A3 (2017) SM-A320F in Russia as you read this. Given that the update had started rounds back on the 26th of this month, you probably have already received a notification to update your device to the latest (released) Android OS, provide you are in Russia. If you haven't, don't worry, sometimes it takes a few days before all the batches are rolled out in an area. If you are in any other country however, the same update should be released in your region very soon as well.
It's a massive OTA package of 2.21GB by the way, so you better have a good Wi-Fi connection! It carries the firmware version A320FXXU2BQG5 and brings the July security update for the device from Google and Samsung. Take a look at the screenshot below for more details.
