Anyone who isn't familiar with the business relationship that the two companies actually share will probably assume that Apple and Samsung are the worst of enemies. Although that statement wouldn't really be off by much, the truth is that the two giants have had multiple business relationships for years now, in spite of all the controversies and lawsuits in-between them. For example, the rigid OLED panel used in making the innovative touch bar for the new range of Apple MacBook Pros is a product supplied from the A2 line of Samsung Displays.
The reason as to why Apple chose OLED over LCD for making the touch bar lies in the fact that OLED panels are considerably slimmer than LCD panels (three times approximately). Another report indicates that even the Driver IC used to bond the touch bar to the MacBook was supplied by System LSI division of the Korean tech giant. There is no doubt that OLED is the next step in terms of display evolution as they consume less power, produce better colors and have a lower response time than LCD. In fact, most smartphones have been predicted to switch over to OLED panels by 2018. Once you consider that Samsung is the largest OLED panel manufacturer in the world, the future does seem bright for them.

Google Chrome Beta for Android has just been update to v40 with some bug fixes along with a Larger address bar with overflow button.
In this release Google brought a new Bookmark Manager with Material Design UI that can only be enabled from "Flags" option.
You only get the new address bar if you have your tabs and apps merged in Lollipop. Otherwise the tab button is in the way so Google doesn't enable the new UI. In flags, you can now use "enable password generation" to generate passwords for sites. Find the flag for "enable enhanced bookmarks" to get a page more like the updated desktop bookmark manager.
What's New in Chrome BETA v40:
- Overflow menu button now in extended address bar (with Lollipop merged tabs).
- New flag to activate experimental bookmarks manager.
- New flag to enable password generation.
- Close tab popup not has white text instead of gold.

Google Chrome Beta for Android has just been update to v43.0.2357.38 with some critical bug fixes, New Material Animations and a Grey Status bar as default for all non-themed web pages.
Chrome 43 BETA also carriers some New Material Design animations when switching to "Reader Mode" or open the bookmark menu. Along with these new feature. now, When purchasing an item, the process of filling checkout forms should be more streamlined and secure thanks to the data that chrome gets from Google Wallet.

Google has just Updated its Play Store App to v5.3.6 with some new UI features and under-the-hood enhancements. The update is Now Rolling-out to all Android users.
One of the visual changes of this update, that it's now automatically hides action bars as users scroll down the page. The Search bar has been updated to fill the entire upper bar with a new Animation. Of course, as soon as the page is scrolled up even a little bit, the action bar pops back into view, just like so many other apps in Google's lineup.
Finally, Google has added a shortcut to make it as easy as possible to update apps. After a quick teardown, I came across a couple of strings for a notification button that will give one-tap access to update any outdated apps on your device. It's possible this isn't live yet, but it seems like it should be. I haven't had the new version installed long enough for an update notification to appear, but it looks like it will just contain a single button that either reads "Update" or "Update all," depending on the quantity of apps that are awaiting new versions.

Google updated its Google Play Store App to version 5.4.10 with some minor User Interface changes. This update changes the Apps view pages look in most of the devices running Android 4.4 or 5.0 showing a complete Transparent Notification Bar on the Top.
You'll notice that in Google Play 5.4 the App's feature graphics appears to reach towards the top of the screen. The green strip doesn't return to the bar until you start to scroll down. It seems like a minor change but it has a great impact in the Overall UI (screenshot above).
