The "Samsung Unpacked" event is over and as expected, it revealed the much awaited and rumored Galaxy Note 10 series of smartphones with their rainbow colored backs to us.
Unlike ever before, Samsung has unveiled two Galaxy Notes this year; the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus. As they are finally here, we have a brief summary for you to get yourself acquainted with the highlight differences between the two devices. Samsung may not have a similar design, but they have certainly taken the full on Apple route to launching devices!
Internal Storage Options and Price
The Galaxy Note 10 is limited to only one RAM/storage option, the 8GB RAM/256 GB internal storage version, which has been priced at $949. The Note 10 Plus on the other hand starts at $1,099 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant. There will also be a 512GB variant, but we are not clear on the price yet.
The Note 10 Plus 5G will have similar specifications as the Note 10 Plus, but with a 5G modem inside. It will also be about $200 more expensive at $1,299.
Display Size and Resolution
Not only is the Galaxy Note 10 sporting a smaller Super AMOLED display, it's also just FHD+ (2280 x 1080) resolution. The Note 10 Plus on the other hand, is blessed with the expectedly huge, 6.8-inch, QHD+ (1440 x 3040) Super AMOLED displays. Both displays are HDR 10+ compatible though.
They Share Similarity in Excluding the Headphone Jack
Yes, all the rumors and leaks were right, Samsung has finally abandoned the headphone jack, although there really is enough room on both phones to put one in. They also will not include an USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapter in the box, like they should have, but will sell you one for $10. Samsung has gone full on Apple apparently!
Cameras and Micro-SD Slots
Both devices have a punch hole notch in front for the single 10-mp selfie cameras, but the Note 10 Plus is the only one with the quad camera module and a micro-SD card slot for those huge image files. The specs for both camera modules are as follows are as below.
Note 10 Plus (Quad Camera Setup)
12 MP, 27mm, wide angle lens with f/1.5-1.8-2.4 variable aperture and OIS.
12 MP, 52mm telephoto lens with f/2.1 aperture and 2x optical zoom.
16 MP, 12mm, ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture.
ToF 3D VGA camera.

Note 10 (Triple Camera Setup)
12 MP, 27mm, wide angle lens with f/1.5-1.8-2.4 variable aperture and OIS.
12 MP, 52mm telephoto lens with f/2.1 aperture and 2x optical zoom.
16 MP, 12mm, ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture.

Battery Size and Color Options
The Note 10 has a significantly smaller 3500mAh battery (25W fast charging), as compared to the Note Plus's 4300mAh battery (45W fast charging).
Both the smartphones will come in Aura Glow, Aura White and Aura Black colors, although the rainbow colors of the Aura Glow will likely be the favorite this year.
All said and done, the Galaxy Note 10 should have been called Note 10 Lite, while the Note 10 Plus should have simply been named as Note 10. Samsung is trying to stay away from the cheaper "lite" tag apparently, but the Note 10 is essentially a watered down version of what we all expected the Note 10 to be, while the Note 10 Plus is for all intents and purposes, exactly the Note 10 should be.
