Today, Rockstar's game Grand Theft Auto: Vice city was officially launched on iOS Apps store and Google Play store. Sadly, the Android version of the game appeared to be having a few issues at the moment.
After multiple users purchased the new game from Google Play store this morning they were met with errors (XAPK Validation error) while trying to install, and eventually RockStar Games pulled the game from our store.
XAPK validation issues are causing a bit of trouble for the gaming company, and now they've issued a quick statement claiming the game wasn't actually supposed to be available yet this morning, and that GTA: Vice City will be back on the Android Play Store soon. Rockstar Official Blog statement:
We're aware that some users have attempted to download Vice City: 10th Anniversary Edition from the Google Play Store and have experienced validation errors.
Just to be clear: the game is not available for Android devices just yet, and if you're seeing it listed on the Store then this is an error, and you shouldn't attempt to download it. We'll keep you up to date and let you know as soon as the game is live and available to purchase. - Rockstar Blog
Rockstar is launching the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Anniversary the day after tomorrow and to keep up the hype levels, the company has released some screenshots, showing the title's gameplay.
If Rockstar launches a game looking like this today for the PC or gaming consoles, they'd be laughed at, but considering GTA: Vice City Anniversary is aimed at mobile devices, it's quite good.
The game will hit the Google Play Store on Thursday December,6th for $4.99.
Google has Updated its Gmail App for Android 4.0 ICS and 4.1 JB and up device, The most important new feature of the update is the long-requested ability to fit messages to the device's screen. A new swipe-to-archive gesture is also now at your service.
In order to enjoy zooming in on your messages, you must enable the feature from the Gmail settings. I found it to work quite nicely. Feel free to share your experience by dropping a line in the comments section below.
Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade is coming to Android. As is tradition with Final Fantasy games, the player will be sent on a quest, laying waste to enemies and looting treasure chests along the way. However, the new game has a stronger focus on social interaction. Also, players will be given airships to travel with, which is an interesting twist to the RPG's game mechanics.
Unlike Final Fantasy III, which costs $16 to download from the Google Play store, Airborne Brigade will be free to play, although there surely will be some kind of in-app purchases.
