Motorola ICS

Motorola schedule gave a broad Q2 target for the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola RAZR. Some users have reported that they have received a test update from Motorola, one was even kind enough to share the update with the rest of the droidrzr forums.

The update has a build version 6.14.75.XT912 and brings the Android version to 4.0.3. It will be available for all Motorola RAZR and RAZR MAXX units, as soon as the testing is complete.

The testing is done by select users members of the Motorola Feedback network to make sure everything will go smoothly with the public release. It is not clear how long this testing will take, but there is a possibility that users will be able to install the update through unofficial means.

ICS

Motorola has just publish its Android Ice Cream Sandwich products Upgrade schedule, to let its fan get some hope that the Update is coming on their way. The schedule tables has just been published on Motorola website and here is what we found:

US

In the US, we can see that XOOM Family Edition, ATRIX 2 and the ATRIX 4G MB860 will receive the update in the third quarter this year. Others like the DROID series, however, are still in the evaluation and planning stage.

Canada

In Canada the RAZR will get the update in Q2 but the ATRIX 4G will remain on Gingerbread.

Europe, Middle-East & Africa

Moving over to the EMEA region, the RAZR and XOOM Wi-Fi will be upgraded in Q2 and the XOOM 2 in Q3. ATRIX update is still being planned whereas the DEFY+ will remain on Gingerbread.

Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, The RAZR and the XOOM will receive the update in Q2 and the ATRIX 2 and XOOM 2 in Q3. The DEFY, DEFY+ and the older phones will not be upgraded.

Latin America & Mexico

Lastly, in Latin America and Mexico, RAZR and XOOM will be upgraded in Q2, ATRIX 2 and XOOM 2 in Q3 and the the update for ATRIX and MILESTONE 3 is still being planned. Again, no update for the DEFY.

Gleam+

Motorola launched a successor of its RAZR-like Gleam clamshell, simply called Gleam+. That plus is well deserved since the new device looks much better than the original Gleam model. Moreover, specs are also bumped up, though at its core Gleam+ remains a feature phone.

Moto Gelam+

Speaking of specs, this fancy fella rocks a 2.8-inch WQVGA (240×400 pixels) internal display, external screen comprised of 144 LEDs, 2-megapixel camera with fixed focus, Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack, and 50MB of built-in storage that is further expandable with microSD memory cards.

Gleam+

The Motorola Gleam+ will cost €99 off contract, when it hits the shelves in March. The clamshell will be available in silver and winter white.

Motorola RAZR MAXX

The DROID RAZR MAXX is obviously selling like hot cupcakes these days with Verizon Wireless at one point listing the popular devices as out of stock.

However, the carrier and Motorola must have been working round the clock to fix this "injustice" and now the DROID RAZR MAXX is back with a small label that says "Will ship by 2/9." That is two days from now, so if you want the thicker version of the RAZR, you may still be able to get it by weekend or, worse case scenario, on Monday.

Droid 4

According to recent leaks, the latest iteration of Motorola Droid brand will be priced at $200 for those who sign a new two-year service agreement.

And now, we are hearing that the device will be available really soon; in fact, it will be here in less than a week. According to the latest report, it will be available in Verizon Store locations nationwide on February 10.
