According to the GLBenchmark, it looks like the Samsung GT-N5100, new model of the Galaxy Note will use a 1.6GHz Exynos 4412 processor with a resolution of 1280×800 which is the exactly the same as the current Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 model. The Samsung N5100 will probably be running on Android 4.1.2 which is the latest Andriod version at Samsung offers at this time, but it will likely to be able to upgradable to Android 4.2.

As reported by Unwiredview, we've heard that Samsung was working on a low-end Galaxy Note, alongside a 13.3 inch model, and a 6.3 inch Note III. With a quad-core processor, the N5100 is probably not the rumored low-end device. So we could see a total of four new Notes next year.

A U.S. judge on Monday Denied the Apple Inc.'s request to seek a ban on the sale of some Samsung Electronics Co. products in the U.S. market.

"The fact that Apple may have lost customers and downstream sales to Samsung is not enough to justify an injunction," Judge Lucy Koh ruled in a court filing. "Apple must have lost these sales because Samsung infringed Apple's patents. Apple has simply not been able to make this showing." - Lucy Koh, U.S Court, Apple vs. Samsung Case

The judge also denied Samsung's request to seek a new trial citing alleged juror misconduct.

Apple first patent lawsuit against Samsung, filed in April of 2011, went to trial in August with a damage award of more than $1 billion for Apple. Samsung has tried to have that decision thrown out.

The two companies are already taking their patent battle to courts all over the world, in a dispute that's heating up as the battle for dominance within the smartphone and tablet markets intensifies. Samsung's share with the smartphone market was 31% in the third quarter, up from 23% 2009, according to market-research firm IDC. Apple was at 2nd place using a market share of 15%, up from 14% a year earlier.

Meanwhile, Both Samsung and Apple declined to comment at this time.

Samsung's most popular mobiles could be vulnerable to app-based attacks, according to a XDA developer, he discovery a security risk in Samsung's own-brand Exynos 4 processor.

XDA Developers member "alephzain" says they found the problem when investigating new ways to root the Samsung Galaxy S3. The vulnerability lies within Samsung's Exynos 4 chip, and noted that a Play Store app could potentially access information from the phone's RAM or even inject malicious code directly into its kernel. It has also been reported that the vulnerability could affect all devices that are equipped with a Exynos 4210 or 4412 processor and utilize Samsung's kernel.

"RAM dump, kernel code injection and others could be possible via app installation from Play Store", alephzain writes. The Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note 2 could also play host to the same security hole. The good news is we can easily obtain root on these devices", the original post reads, "and the bad is there is no control over it".

It seems users have been able to plug the hole with some industrious tinkering, though adjusting the smart phone's code appears to be disabling the S3's camera. Luke at CNET contacted Samsung about the reported vulnerability and he will post an update.

When Samsung was brought attention to this problem, they posted the following message.

"We are currently in the process of conducting an internal review".

We hope Samsung will post a fix to this soon.
