Best Buy has just tipped to be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich in stock on December 11. According to the leaked screenshot above.
There are also a few confusing spec inaccuracies, such as the thickness and weight of the handset according to Best Buy records, but that could well be a simple error in data entry. Earlier rumors had tipped a December 8 release for the Verizon smartphone, though neither Samsung nor Google has committed to any date publicly.
Surely it was disappointing to discover that the Google latest and greatest has no Flash support. But it was even more shocking, although a bit expected, to learn that Adobe is abandoning the mobile Flash in favor of HTML5.
Anyway, Adobe has previously stated that it will add support for the Galaxy Nexus in its Android Flash runtimes and now we know when this December.
Official Statement
We have received some questions regarding support for Adobe Flash Player 11.1 and AIR 3.1 on the Galaxy Nexus. To be clear, the Galaxy Nexus does not initially support Adobe Flash Player 11.1 and AIR 3.1. Devices and software updates from our partners which introduce new technologies are being developed on varied schedules that are different from our own, which means that the Adobe runtimes may not always be optimized or supported on devices until a subsequent release. We will provide a minor update to the runtimes to support the Galaxy Nexus in December.

Samsung and Google may not have released their fix for the Galaxy Nexus volume flaw yet, but that has not stopped the Android modding community from addressing the problem itself. A patch said to be the official release to address the problem which sees volume fluctuate when the 2G 900MHz band is used has been released, ahead of Samsung own schedule which is believed to have temporarily stopped shipments.
Details of Samsung fix are unclear, though according to retailers the company has recalled shipments of the Galaxy Nexus and intends to replace them with a fixed version. Thats been seen as an indication that the fault is a software one that can at least be addressed by a software patch though neither Samsung nor Google will say anything more than that they are working on it.
The fix requires that you unlock the bootloader of the Galaxy Nexus, but beyond that it is a case of punching in a few commands. It is worth noting that your phone will be wiped in the process, but if you have been plagued by the volume bug you probably will not begrudge that too much.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone has been price tipped via an ad. Apparently, the ad you see in the photo below is some sort of flash ad that is running somewhere. I have got most ads blocked so that may be the reason I have not seen it.
The Adv. shows that the LTE packing smartphone will sell for 199.99 USD. That would put it at the same price as the iPhone.
Google has added LTE and a slightly larger battery mfor the Galaxy Nexus Verizon version, Whereas the HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus on sale in the UK since last week is 8.9mm thick, the LTE version expected to hit Verizon on December,8 is 9.5mm thick.
There is no huge difference, but as the side-by-side shots above indicate it does make for a different profile for the two devices. The LTE model lacks the distinctive curve down to the speaker bulge on the lower rear of the phone, and ends up looking less like an arch in the process.
