Today, EE announced that it'll be launching the first 4G LTE network in the UK with the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE as the first handset to support its New Network. The Network will get a New variant of the Galaxy S III Model Number GT-I9305.

EE users who will purchase the Galaxy S III 4G I9305 will find a small surprise in the box, as the Galaxy S III LTE-enabled version that will ship to EE will run Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Out of the Box. So that, the users won't need to wait for am OTA update.

Head of Samsung Mobile, JK Shin, was talking about the company's expectation and plans about the the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II.

According to Shin, the Galaxy S III should top 30 million sales before the end of this year. The S3 has reached the 20 million milestone six days ago, so the prediction isn't that hard to believe. All it will take for the target to be achieved is Samsung to sell 10 million Galaxy S III units in the next four months after selling 20 million in the first 100 days of the smartphone's existence.

 

JK Shin also predicts the company will sell 20 million Note II devices throughout the phablet's life cycle. The Note II debuted at IFA two weeks ago and is expected to launch in October.

Samsung recently announced new colors for the Galaxy S III and the Indian subsidiary just listed the Garnet Red variant of Galaxy S III on their online store.
