iOS 5.1 Beta 3

Apple released iOS 5.1 Beta 2 on December 12 with Build number 9B5127a. The current beta now uses build number 9B5141a.

iOS 5.1 B3 OTA

iOS 5.1 beta 3 restores a sought after feature by many users, Enable 3G. The Enable 3G toggle allows users to completely shut off their cellular data, something that is currently unavailable. iOS users who use WiFi at work and home, experience heavy battery loss due to the fact that 3G and WiFi are running simultaneously. With this new feature, users can simply switch off 3G and use WiFi and can switch on WiFi just as easily. Apple noted under the toggle feature, that "3G offers faster data speeds but uses more battery power than EDGE".

At Facebook core is the social graph, people and the connections they have to everything they care about. Historically, Facebook has managed this graph and has expanded it over time as it launch new products (photos, places, etc.). Now Facebook Intoduce the Facebook Developers Open Graph BETA docs and tools for developers to test along with a prelease of the facebook new timeline.

The Open Graph allows apps to model user activities based on actions and objects. A running app may define the ability to "run" (action) a "route" (object). A reading app may define the ability to "read" (action) a "book" (object). A recipe app may define the ability to "cook" (action) to a "recipe" (object). Actions are verbs that users perform in your app. Objects define nouns that the actions apply to. Facebook Already got some default examples that available for developers to test it and see how it works.

After a user adds your app to their Timeline, app specific actions are shared on Facebook via the Open Graph. As your app becomes an important part of how users express themselves, these actions are more prominently displayed throughout the Facebook Timeline, News Feed, and Ticker. This enables your app to become a key part of the user and their friend experience on Facebook.
