Two of the biggest Android flagships of 2016 are going to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2016 on February 21 and rumors regarding the two have reached an all time high now. As you probably know already, we are talking about the Samsung Galaxy S7 series and the LG G5. After being treated to a host of leaked Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge pictures on the web, we have finally been shown what the LG G5 will look like.

This is the most revealing leak yet as we can clearly see both the back and the front of the LG flagship, which removes any doubt regarding its design elements at least. As seen in the picture, there is indeed a dual camera setup on the back, complete with a dual tone flash and possibly even laser autofocus. A circular fingerprint scanner can be seen right below the rear cameras with volume buttons on the side. If we were to make a guess, we would say that this time around, the fingerprint scanner will function as the power button as well.

The body of the G5 is probably made up of metal, but it is hard to tell until we get a closer look at it. The internal specs of the G5 cannot exactly be seen in this picture, but after months of speculations, leaks and rumors we have a pretty good idea about them. Expect the LG G5 to be powered by a SD 820 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and a powerful battery. The 5.6" 1440p display will sport Android M 6.0 out of the box and will possibly be updated to the latest firmware soon after.

Lenevo has made a swift move - within a few weeks after releasing the K4 Note, they have announced the next official variant - the K5 Note. This smartphone features an all-metal body and is backed by a Mediatek Helio P10 SoC along with 64-bit octa-core processor and Mali-T860 GPU.

The handset also boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD LTPS display, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable internal memory. When it comes to the camera, the rear unit is 13 MP and snapper at the front is of 8 MP. The battery supplies 3,500mAh charge with support for fast charging, and the device operates with Vibe UI on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Dimension of the device is: 152 x 75.7 x 8.49mm and the K5 Note has some nice features like dual-SIM support, 4G LTE and VoLTE connectivity options. There is an implementation of a fingerprint sensor technology at the back, which also finds its usage in making payments as well as capturing photos.

Apart from this the device sports a 1.5W speaker on the back armed with Dolby Atmos surround sound effect. From pricing point, it will cost around RMB 1,099 (close to $167) in China, where it will be made available to the market via flash sale model. The very first sale is scheduled for this week with gold and silver as the two color options.

The LG G5 is enjoying the limelight now and in an unexpected way casting a shadow on the Galaxy S7; kudos to a case maker. In general accessory makers are given phone's design, dimensions and photos quite early and that makes them a genuine source of information for getting intel on yet to be released devices.

So in this case, a series robust G5 cases have emerged, which are very good at providing safety and also good at unveiling certain design elements chosen by LG. For starter, the proof of the dual camera present at the rear end has become solid, which was initially speculated owing to boxed prototype and an older diagram.

It is almost confirmed that there would be a circular fingerprint reader at the rear end, but the volume controls won't be there in the back. Although a few the case renders still show some sign of those buttons, the volume button on the left side doesn't leave anything to imagination. The important thing to note here is the position of the power button, and by what we can infer from the case renders, the fingerprint sensor might actually be be inside one, just the way V10 has it.

The rest of the specs are in sync with the earlier leak - there will be a Type-C USB connector, speaker on the bottom, and the 3.5mm headphone jack on top. On both of the end there will be a mic and the second cutout present on the top might be for an IR blaster. There is still no news on removing the battery by sliding it out.

If the reports are correct, then LG will probably unveil the G5 at the Mobile World Congress 2016. Traditionally, LG has always launched its flagship G-series devices a few months after the MWC. This year however, LG is possibly going to put the G5 in head-to-head competition with the Samsung Galaxy S7, one of the most awaited Flagship Android devices of 2016.

LG knows that the Galaxy S7 is already one of the biggest competitors to the G5 at both the MWC and after sales. It is believed by many that in order to counter Samsung's upcoming flagship, the G5 has been redesigned to a great degree in comparison to previous iterations of the G-series. A "leaked" diagram surfaced recently and if it has any legitimacy to it, then the G5 will have volume buttons on the side, rather than on its back like the G4.

From what has been seen in the diagrams, a 149.4 x 73.9 x 8.2 mm metal body may house the power button/fingerprint sensor and a 20 megapixel shooter on the back with a bottom firing mono speaker. The 3.5 mm audio port can be seen on the top while the front of the smartphone may feature a 5.6-inch QHD panel. It should also be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset seen only in the LeTV Le Max Pro so far. Will these alleged specs be enough for the G5 to give the Galaxy S7 a run for its money? If you are in South Korea, both the devices from LG's newly unveiled K series will be available for purchase from January 14. The K series was announced prior to CES 2016 and unveiled at the event itself. The new line was due as the older L series was already three generations old and the models in the series were starting to look and sound a bit too much like each other!

The idea behind the introduction of the K series is to bring budget devices to consumers without sacrificing on certain features usually restricted to premium models only. However, we are of the opinion that those "premium" features are mostly cosmetic. It seems that both the devices will ship with Android Lollipop and one can only hope that a Marshmallow upgrade is forthcoming.

The K7 sports a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854x480 powered by a 1.1 GHz/1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB/1.5GB RAM and a 2125 mAh battery. An 8/5 megapixel sensor will sit on the back while the front camera will probably sport a 5 megapixel sensor on all variants. Storage options are either 8GB or 16GB.

The K10 is bigger with a 5.3-inch 720p display and has better specs under the hood. As is the case with the K7, the specs will vary quite a bit depending on the location as well as LTE capabilities. From what we know so far, you can expect the LTE variant of the K10 to come with 1.14GHz/1.2GHz/1.3GHz quad-core processors. The 3G version however, will only be powered by a 1.3 GHz CPU.

The LG K10 will have a 13mp/8mp camera on its back with the smaller sensor being bundled with the 3G version. The same trend is seen with the front facing 8mp/5mp selfie cam. It will be helped in its multitasking ventures by 1GB/1.5GB/2GB RAM, depending on the location where it is sold. The K10 will be available in 8GB/16GB storage options while the 2300 mAh battery will remain the same for all variants.
