In their own words, if you are a Verizon customer who consumes an "extraordinary amount" of data while using their unlimited data plans, the company will force you to switch over to The Verizon Plan by August 31. If you decide not to change your plan even after the warning and the deadline, your connection will be cut off from the network. After the connection has been shut down, the customer will be able to activate their connection back within fifty days, on switching over to some other Verizon plan than before.

It should be noted that Verizon Wireless had stopped with the unlimited plans a long time ago and this is a ploy to bring the remaining subscribers into one of their new data plans. Although they did mention that they will only contact customers who are using too much data on a monthly basis, no exact number was revealed. However, this makes one wonder, how one can possibly use too much data in a plan that's been marketed as "unlimited?" Whatever the logic at work over here might be, this is how the situation is right now, as reported by Droid-Life.

In a world plagued by terrorists and psychopaths pretty much anywhere you can think of, it's always a bad idea to carry a gun-shaped anything at the airport. Although this should go without saying, apparently, an individual in the London Stansted Airport did not have enough common sense to know that. Alternately, it could be just a very stupid idea of a prank that went south for the man.

This person walked into the airport with a gun-shaped iPhone case, which was found on him during the mandatory security check. The photo above is for the purpose of illustration and was NOT the way in which the individual was touting the pseudo-gun. However, that did not save him from getting charged for possession of an imitation firearm in a public place, as well as for threatening behaviour to cause alarm or distress.

Popular online sites like Amazon and eBay used to list items similar to this iPhone case, but they have completely stopped selling them after recent terrorist attacks and multiple warnings by law enforcement officers issued to citizens against using anything that imitates a gun in a public place. If you were planning to buy something similar for your phone, it's probably a VERY bad idea!

Finally Xiaomi revealed the Mi 5 at the MWC 2016 event held in Barcelona after close to two years of development. This was one of the devices that had garnered lot of attention as a successor to the Mi 4. While the whole world of mobile enthusiasts were waiting for the launch of Mi 5, Xiaomi released the Mi 4i and not-so-exciting Mi 4c. This way Mi 5 as a flagship device remained as a dream for a long time. Surprisingly, there were lot of rumours about the launch of this device, but 24th February, 2016 was the date on which we finally witnessed the launch.

So what exactly is packaged in the Mi 5? Before getting into that, let's first check out the three variants - Standard, High, and Exclusive. In terms of design all of these versions are more or less similar, featuring curved edges in the back in order to make it easy to hold. The difference comes in the form of build material - the first two have a refined hybrid of metal and Gorilla Glass 4.0 and the Exclusive variant has ceramics and glass.

It has been a long time since the rumours about Vivo's next gen flagship smartphone surfaced. In fact this news goes back to 2014 and at that time they were supposed to be one of the pioneers in implementing Snapdragon 810 SoC. Quite evident that it didn't happen and now Snapdragon 810 is no way Qualcomm's best chip. At the same time people are looking forward to the XPlay 5, which is supposed to be available from March 1. At this point one important feature has been changed to another - this device will be the first one to come with 6 GB RAM.

But, don't consider this as a rumor. This has been leaked from the AnTuTu 6 benchmark test and even though we don't see 6GB being mentioned clearly, the 162,610 points mentioned in the leak is close to 30K more than other devices available in the database. We are also not exactly sure whether 2GB of extra memory can result in such a boost. In addition to this, there is a banner which states that the XPlay 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC and 6GB RAM. Also there are speculations about a 5.5 inch display too.

UPDATE: A tipster has revealed another piece of info about the Vivo XPlay 5 - this smartphone will feature Hi-Fi 3.0, which is most probably a cutting-edge audio processing chip, similar to rest of the Vivo devices like the X6 Plus.

Huawei will surely take part in MWC 2016, as this Chinese firm has already sent out the invitations for the event to be held on 21st February. However, we didn't know what exactly would be on display that day.

On 15th February, a rumor surfaced pointing at the probability of a hybrid laptop, supposedly the Huawei Matebook. Although the rumour emerged for the hybrid PC, the chance of a new Huawei P9 was also discussed extensively. Now, this speculation has been bolstered and an official announcement can be expected - thanks to the official-looking renders.

The images also show some of the most sought after info on the design element of the smartphone and establish proof of some of its previously speculated features - a dual camera in the back and a fingerprint scanner mounted in the back. Apart from this we can say that the Huawei P9 will sport a metal body and a 2.5 curved display on the front. There will be four color choices - gold, white, pink and gray.

The Huawei P9 will be backed by a Kirin 950 SoC, 4GB of RAM and feature a 5.2-inch screen. This is not fully confirmed, as there is also news of 6GB of RAM and four different variants of the phone coming with unique display and camera resolution.
