Last year's Redmi K20 Pro was inarguably one of the best flagship smartphones from the company. The device offered high-quality hardware at a very affordable price, making it one of the most popular smartphones of the year.

Xiaomi has officially confirmed on Weibo that the Redmi K30Pro will arrive in March, although we don't have a specific date yet. It also uploaded a poster showing a phone without a punch-hole camera in the top corners. The Redmi K30 Pro has expected the company's latest smartphone belongs to the flagship category, just like its predecessor K20 Pro.

We have heard a lot about the phone so far, and now we know that it is coming next month. The poster and the leaks also give hint that Redmi K30 Pro will feature a pop-up selfie camera instead of the K30's punch-hole cute-out. The picture doesn't show the whole display but it doesn't make any sense for having the selfie camera the bottom of the device. But it is far more likely that Xiaomi is reverting to the K20 family's pop-up camera.

A few rumors suggest that the device will feature a 64MP quad rear camera system. Other leaks suggest that the K30 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 and will support the 5G network connectivity. The device has a 4,700mAh battery that is sufficient enough to keep it on charge for a whole day even for the heavy user. Unfortunately, the phone doesn't offer wireless charging. We have to wait till next month to see what else the phone has to offer.

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 series was launched in the Chinese market in the first quarter of this year. The series comprises two flagship smartphones - Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom edition. Xiaomi is one of the most reliable mobile phone manufacturers and you can expect a quality product from them even when the price suddenly gets some cut. The Giztop, China's one of the most popular e-retailers, is offering Xiaomi Redmi K30 pro for a considerably lower price. The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that was sold at $549, but you can get almost $100 discount at Giztop.

Another variant comes with 8GB RAM and offers the same 128GB internal storage. The phone comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with 1080x2400 pixels and weighs only 218g. The phone has a Gorilla Glass 5 front and back with an aluminum frame that gives it an elegant look. The device has support for Dual-SIM. The super AMOLED touchscreen can show 16M colors. The phone comes with an Android 10 operating system out of the box and powered by Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865.

The phone has a quad-camera system with a 64MP primary camera, a 5MP secondary telephoto macro camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth camera lens. For the front photography, a 20M pop-up camera capture self-portraits and video calling. The phone has a massive 4,700mAh battery and runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10. The phone is available in Neon Blue, Phantom white, electric purple, cyber gray.

Xiaomi just completed its 10 years in the industry and took advantage of the celebration event to launch a few interesting products along with the Mi 10 ultra. The Redmi K30 ultra is a flagship smartphone by the company and looks almost similar to the K30 Pro. However, there are a few hardware upgrades that make it worth buying. The Redmi K30 Ultra features a 6.67-inch large Samsung AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display is charge and comes with great contrast to create a vivid and colorful experience for the user. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has no notches at the front side and comes with a pop-up camera for the selfie pictures.

The phone is powered by a powerful MediaTek 5G processor and supports outstanding AI functionality with six-core independent APU 3.0 that enables accuracy for more application scenarios. The device can balance computing power with power consumption. Redmi K30 Ultra has been ranked first in the ETH Zurich AI-benchmark ranking. The phone runs on dual hyper engine 2.0 and game turbo optimization engines that make it a perfect tool for playing games and responsive multi-app functionality.

The Redmi K30 ultra features a quad-camera system at the rear side, consisting of a 64MP primary camera, a 13Mp ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP portrait depth camera. The primary camera supports four-in-one large pixels, allowing the hardware to combine smaller pixels to final results for an ultra-clear image. For videos, it uses zoom support, three microphones for clear audio recording during filming. The phone has a big 4,500mAh battery that is good enough to keep the phone alive the whole day. There is also support for 33W fast charging that allows the phone to get fully charged from zero to 100% within just one hour. The phone is available in three colors - moonlight white, midnight black, and mint garden.

Redmi K30 has some impressive specs for a phone that costs only $230. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 730G processor from Qualcomm, a 4500mAh battery with 27W fast charging. For display, it uses IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate. This is one of the cheapest 5G phones you can buy right now, but of course, this 5G supports depends on the availability of the 5G network in your area. With a 4500mAh battery, you can expect to deliver an incredible battery life. But due to a higher refresh rate, you may found yourself charging after a half-day. On an average day, it can get about six hours. If you degrade the refresh rate to 60Hz, it will surely save some battery life.

The display is a 6.67-inch 1080 pixel display panel. You won't get the pure black and white if you go for less display but that doesn't mean the screen is bad. The Redmi K30 has four cameras on the rear side, and the two on the front. There's the new 64MP Sony IMX686 - a direct successor to the popular 48MP IMX 586, an ultrawide 8MP sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the front camera, you get a 20MP lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera produces sharp pictures in good light, but the flat color profile doesn't look natural on skin tones. If you are a big selfie person, you may want to apply some kind of filter before sharing these online. In low light circumstances, you will see a decent amount of smearing. Although the phone has a decent portrait mode that produces much sharper pictures.

The Redmi K30 is running MIUI 11, based on Android 10. MIUI is fairly customizable, but many Western users probably won't like it as much, especially if you're used to stock Android, as it tries to act like iOS in a lot of ways. By default, there is no app drawer, though you can turn it on in settings. The most annoying thing for me is the fact that you need to press a settings button to get into the settings. There is a cool feature on the Redmi K30 called Mi Share, which allows you to seamlessly transfer files between other Xiaomi, Vivo, Realme, and Oppo devices. This is effectively Apple's AirDrop, so it's nice that these manufacturers have worked together to make file transfer a lot easier.
