If the latest report by The Bell is to be believed then Samsung has already placed orders for next year's flagship panels with their display division; Samsung Display. In addition to the 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch QHD+ panels for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, The Bell reports that 6.3-inch QHD+ panels are also going into production in the future for the Galaxy Note 9! Of course, it's just a rumor at this point, but this does mean a couple of things if it turns out to be true. Firstly, we are not going to see a 4K display like the one on the Xperia XZ Premium on any Samsung smartphone in the near future and secondly, Samsung is sticking with the 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

Additionally, the report also states that the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will feature the elusive fingerprint scanner which is not even going to make it onto the iPhone 8 this year. It would be interesting to see how much of this actually turns out to be true, although it's going to be a long wait from now for things to become more obvious.

In spite of what rumors and reports have been saying for a while, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S8 is selling better than the Galaxy S7 did at this point of time last year. In fact, DJ Koh (President of Samsung Mobiles) has even put a number on it by stating that the Galaxy S8 is outselling the S7 by 15% so far. This is a fair comparison actually, given that it only takes into account the sales figure reached by the S7 last year after its release in the same number of days as the Galaxy S8 has seen so far. This piece of info was revealed by Koh last week during his visit to Taiwan.

The Samsung Mobile President further predicts that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are likely to see success for the rest of the year as well, without any significant stall in sales. Although this prediction is more likely optimism than estimation to be honest, the sales number is of course, authentic as it comes straight from the horse's mouth. Things now make more sense really, because it was surprising to hear that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ were falling behind their predecessors after getting off to such a record-breaking start with the pre-orders.

Koh Dong-jin, also known as DJ Koh is the President of Samsung Mobiles and he seems to be on top of the news recently with authentic "leaks." Not that we can really call them leaks, given that he is the boss himself! In spite of the rumors stating that late August would be the date for the Note 8's launch, there was no official word on it until today. During his travel within Asia for the purposes of the Galaxy Note 8's release, he has stated that the Note 8 will be launched in August and released in the UK, US and other specific nations in September. There will also be an unlucky list of countries that will have to wait till October to get the device.

While at this point we more or less know all that there is to know about the Galaxy Note 8, it would be interesting to see if Bixby Voice makes it onto the handset by the time it's released. Keep in mind that we are talking about the English speaking countries because the voice functionalities of Bixby are already working fine in South Korea on the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Famous leakster Ice universe (@universeice) is more often right than wrong when it comes to smartphone leaks, but what he is showing us here is a bit hard to swallow. Not that it depicts anything that's downright absurd like a holographic keyboard or a 4K display mind you! And before you start pointing out to Sony's Xperia XZ Premium which sports an excellent 4K panel, let me assure you that it isn't going to happen with the Galaxy Note 8. What is surprising and feels wrong about the Note 8 render here is the large bezel size; something that is almost reminiscent of the Galaxy Note 7 than the Galaxy S8 Plus.

We are not saying that it cannot be so, but if Samsung decides to opt for larger bezels after being praised so much for the design language of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, it would indeed be very surprising! Nevertheless, this isn't the first time that we are seeing a render such as this one, so it could very well be the situation this year after all. I guess we will find out soon enough.

The rumors are out and about in full stretch regarding the Galaxy Note 8 and by now, we all have a pretty good idea about how the upcoming stylus wielding device from Samsung is going to look like. However, they are all mostly based on rumors and the excellent concepts that we have seen so far are after all, just unofficial concepts. As if to give credence to what we have seen so far, Samsung Exynos has just Twitted an image that might be teasing the Galaxy Note 8 itself!

The Exynos 9-series chip advertised here is accompanied by a smartphone which looks suspiciously like the Galaxy Note 8 renders and leaks that we have seen so far on the internet. You could argue that it's the Galaxy S8+ that we are seeing here, but I would disagree because of the following reasons.

1. Since it doesn't even have any buttons on the side, it is most obviously a mockup and if they wanted to accompany the Exynos 9 chip with an image of the S8+, they wouldn't need to make a mockup of the device since it is already out and about.

2. The top bezel looks even thinner than that of the Galaxy S8+

Do you think that Samsung has just teased us with our first look at the Galaxy Note 8? Let us know in the comments.
