While the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are fantastic devices, there are a few things about the two smartphones that are not exactly perfect and the underpowered 3,000mAh battery on the regular S8 is one of those things. The S8 Plus on the other hand has a decent enough 3,500mAh battery, but it isn't anything to write home about either. However, the Galaxy S8 Active will change all that with its 4,000mAh battery when it comes out. It's a shame that it will be exclusive to the United States and that too on AT&T only.

Check out the images in this article which comes to you thanks to a Samsung employee in possession of a Galaxy S8 Active prototype in San Francisco. The phone is going to be made mostly out of polycarbonate with metal on the sides for extra protection. There will not be an Active button on the S8 Active, unlike all its predecessors but it will sport the Bixby hardware button just like the regular Galaxy S8s. All other specs are the same, but the model number on this one will be SM-G892A. Are you waiting to pick one up?

You read that headline right, although the "team up" part might have been a bit overstated! But you can't really blame me for my excitement, given the two company's historic rivalry and court contests. In a seemingly strange turn of events, it looks like Samsung is backing Apple in their ongoing legal battle with Qualcomm. Samsung is not alone in making its support towards Apple's case public though, because Intel too is onboard this "alliance." But then again, Intel does have a very big stake in the matter as well.

Apple had sued Qualcomm for $1 billion with support from the Federal Trade commission, in accusation that the chipmaker is using its position in the US market to force Apple into paying very high and unreasonable patent royalties for their baseband processor. As expected, Qualcomm sued them back by launching another lawsuit in return, which stated that Apple is not making payments that they are supposed to, as per previous agreements. Since Qualcomm is now trying ban Apple from selling and importing any iPhone that doesn't run on a Qualcomm affiliated chip, Samsung and Intel are trying to make sure that doesn't happen. Given that Apple is now buying chips from Intel, while Samsung and Qualcomm are no longer partners, this move actually makes sense.

The iPhone 8 and the Galaxy Note 8 are on top of every smartphone rumor list these days and for good reason too; these two are the biggest smartphones that will hit the stores in the second half of the year and it's only natural for their rumors to be everywhere. Today we have the Galaxy Note 8 in our sights and although this particular leak doesn't really have any accompanying images to support its claims, it comes from the famous leakster Roland Quandt on Twitter.

He is claiming that he has inside info about the upcoming Galaxy Note 8's colors and according to that information, it will come in three colors (at least initially). The colors are Midnight Black, Orchid Grey and Deep Blue. It is to be noted that the "Deep Blue" variant will likely be different from the Cobalt Blue color we saw introduced with the Galaxy Note 7 last year. Read the tweet below.

"Samsung Galaxy Note 8 coming in Black, Orchid Grey and a new Deep Blue. At least."

Samsung may also release other colors in different regions, just as hinted by Quandt, but whether or not they will all be launched simultaneously on August 23rd, remains to be seen.

We have seen the Galaxy Note 8 in leaks and renders quite a few times now and in spite of our hate for the seemingly larger top and bottom bezels on the upcoming device, it seems like that's just something that we will have to live with... Or, you could just buy the Galaxy S8+, provided of course you can live without the stylus.

In today's render, we have the smartphone (and those bezels!) confirmed from every angle. Do take a look at these renders and tell us what you think in the comments section. Although we say "confirmed," these are obviously not official and are brought to you by the case maker Ghostek. Nevertheless, these are probably as close to the real thing as is possible at the moment and I am pretty sure that when it is unveiled officially next month, this is what we are going to see, more or less.

In all the confusion and excitement that comes with the Galaxy Note 8 leaks, what we almost forget at times is the very fact for which it's called a "Note." Yes, we are talking about the stylus here today and thanks to SlashLeaks, we are getting our first look at the S-Pen. Before reading anymore, take a good look at the pictures here and decide if you think that this is the real deal.

Do you think it is indeed the S-Pen from the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 or does it look way too much like the one that came with the Galaxy Note 7? Well to be honest I can't really tell, given that the pictures have deliberately been blurred. Yes I said deliberately because I refuse to believe that someone with access to a Galaxy Note 8's stylus did not have access to a camera that could click a decently focused photograph in what clearly is a well-lit environment! Even then, this live image would not have been so suspicious had it not been for the fact that the S-Pen is more likely to be redesigned this year to accommodate the significant changes on the Galaxy Note 8's physical structure.
