Nokia LUMIA users are waiting for the Windows 7.8 update, as you may know that all current WP7 device won't be getting the Windows Phone 8 but Windows phone 7.8 instead. Nokia tweeted about the Update and said that "It's coming in the Next Few Weeks".

Among the highlights are the new Start screen, the currently around 100 thousand apps for WP and information about the Lumia-exclusive camera enhancements and a new way of sharing contacts and track data usage.

Another Nokia executive is confirming the addition of PureView technology to the LUMIA line of windows phones, No release date yet but the Lumia PureView is certainly Coming soon.

Chris Webber, President of Nokia USA and Head of Marketing for North America, talked about the future of Nokia and their plans to expand their market share. PureView is part of the plan and Nokia is working closely with Microsoft to make sure that the technology works exactly right. Watch the Interview video below.

This year doesn't look good for Nokia sales, According to the analysts at IDC, about 2.2 Million Nokia LUMIA devices have been shipped in Q1 of 2012. That is the estimated number of actual units delivered to retailers and carriers, not units that customers have actually purchased.

This is a pretty disappointed figures that shows how much catching up Nokia still has to do when it comes to smartphone sales.
