Kindle Fire HD

 

Amazon has just officially announced the Kindle Fire HD. It's a new powerful tablet with an 7.0 or 8.9-inch 1920×1200 IPS display. It's based on the TI OMAP4470 chipset with a 1.5GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor and PowerVR SXG544 graphics plus a separate dedicated 2D graphics core.

Also, Amazon old Kindle fire got a hardware update with a new faster processor, double the RAM and longer battery life. With the new parts the Kindle Fire is now 40% faster. It costs $159 and will hit the shelves on September 14.

There will be 3 Kindle fire HD models on the Market, Kindle fire HD 7.0, Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and Kindle Fire HD 8.9 4G LTE


The 7-inch Kindle Fire HD will launch on September 14 for $199, while the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD will become available on September 20 for $299.

Amazon will be holding a press event this thursday to introduce the Amazon Kindle Fire 2. The original Kindle Fire model, according to Amazon, sold-out in 9 months and took a 22% share of the tablet market based on data from the online retailer.

Speculation that a version of the Amazon Kindle Fire with a 10-inch screen would be announced at the event was shot down late Friday with talk that there will be two models introduced, but both will have 7-inch screens, it could also pack the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. One is a lower priced model with a new UI and the other is a higher priced model with more storage, a camera, faster processor, physical volume controls and an HDMI port.

Transformer


ASUS officially announced that its Transformer Pad TF300 will get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in north America, Other Transformer Pad series will follow it very soon.

 

The Update will bring a lot of features and bug fixes to the tablet. Here is the Company's Official Statement :

Acer iconia

 

Acer is looking forward to compete with Google Nexus 7 tablet with its new Iconia Tab A110, it was revealed back in june but the company didn't release the tablet back then. Now it has surfaced again, this time courtesy of an online UK retailer Ebuyer. What's more important is that now it seems to be running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The images show a Nexus 7-like UI, down to the placement of the keys below the display and the notification bar on the top, something that you will find only on the Nexus 7 in the Android tablet world. Not that it's a bad thing.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 specifications is pretty close to Nexus 7, it packs a Quad-core, 1.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 7-inch, 1024 x 600 resolution display, 8GB internal memory with microSD card slot and HDMI out. As for the Price, Acer will stick to the sub-$200 price tag that they previously promised.
