Earlier this week, word had it that the newly-announced Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets might be more difficult to hack than their predecessors. The reasons behind that statement were the processor's advanced security features and the signed bootloader, which prevent users from loading custom firmware onto the slate. In other words, aftermarket ROMs with stock Android builds instead of Amazon's heavily customized, and somewhat limited software seemed like a no-go.

However, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel now that the 7-inch Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablet has been rooted. In fact, anyone who wants to obtain root access on their Fire HD (Note, this will void your warranty) is free to open up XDA Developers and follow the how-to guide, which has been posted a few days ago.

A Chinese manufacturer called "Cube", Made an Android tablet that pack the same "Retina" display as the Apple New iPad (aka iPad 3) with the same resolution 2048 x 1536 too.

The tablet will be called Cube U9GT5, Its display size is said to be 9.7" is size (same as the iPad) and has the same pixel density ~264ppi (pixels per inch). This tablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it has a Cortex-A9 Dual-Core CPU and a Mali-400MP Quad-core GPU with 2GB ram that will run Jelly Bean very smooth on this high-resolution screen.

ALL THIS and it will cost you ONLY $200, The Cube will probably be launched in China first at an unspecified date during this year than will be released worldwide. Hands-on Demo Video Below!

Acer reply to Google Nexus 7 with a similar 7-inch tablet that has just been officially announced by the Company, the Tablet will be Named "Iconia Tab A110". This tablet will pack a Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-core CPU, 7-icnh display with 1024 x 600 resolution (Not 720p HD).

The Iconia tab A110 will be powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but the display resolution seems like a letdown compared to the Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire HD but the Iconia Tab A110 does come with a microSD card slot as well as micro HDMI out that the other two lack.

The price will be around $200 and will be available in 2 weeks to compete with the Nexus 7 in the tabs market.
