A leaked Screenshot shows what Google is baking for the Upcoming Android version, a Complete Makeover to the Android Icons. Android New Icons 2014

As you can see in the Screenshot above, a Completely New App Icons design, including all Google Apps and default Android system Apps too such like (Google Play, Email, Gmail, People, Calender, Maps, Camera, Photos, Hangouts... etc). We should expect a slightly minor changes to these Apps User Interface too. Google already updated all its Apps with the left-slide menu that has all the settings the user need instead of using the Action bar.

Google Apps Icons

In the list above you'll see the difference between Google Web Apps Icons, Current Android Apps Icons and the New Redesigned Android Apps Icons. Google is still keeping its 3D-Holo Effect with the new designs but used the long-shadow technique to show the layers of every icon. Android icons is starting to look like the current Web icons.

These New icons is highly expected to be in the Upcoming Android Version 4.5 which is rumored to be announced this June. Google will also updates its Android design guidelines so Apps developers redesign there icons and logos to suite the New Android UI.
