moto X+1

@evleaks posted a Photo of the upcoming Motorola flagship device, Moto X+1 as a "Retirement Gift". The phone has two colors, Black with matte back and white with a wood back. Both photos have Verizon's logo.

The images seem to match up with the images we previously leaked of what we believe to be the X+1, including the unique flash arrangement and somewhat confusing Motorola logo stamped into the back of the device. Around front, the front-facing speaker arrangement appears to match, and the home screen isn't too surprising, sporting Moto's minimalist skin. The white phone pictured has four gray dots that one may assume represent sensors.

The Moto X+1 is starting to leak a lot, now that we're getting ever closer to its September,4th unveiling date.

Most recently, the next Motorola flagship smartphone had most of its specs confirmed by a benchmark. And now its purported front panel got leaked, smiling for a few comparison shots with the original Moto X from last year.

Both in the image above, and in the one below, you can see the leaked Moto X+1 front panel on the left, with the original Moto X smartphone hanging around to its right.

Right off the bat the 5.2-inch screen size that has been rumored many times so far seems pretty much confirmed, given the perceived size difference between the two units. And once again Motorola looks like it has been able to create a very pocketable device, if we go by the bezels of this panel alone.

The Moto 360 was announced on March 18 and will finally be launched almost half a year later. The smartwatch leaked in a series of photos recently flaunting its metal body. The wireless charging and the charging cradle were also shown. The price of the watch was rumored to be around €249, but we'll let Motorola have the final say.

The Moto X+1 is expected to be the company's next flagship. It's said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset along with 2GB of RAM. Earlier reports and different mumblings also had it coming with a 5.1" or 5.2" touchscreen of 1080p resolution, a 12 MP rear camera, and a 2,900 mAh battery.

As for the Moto G2, we reported that it's going to ship on September 10 for €250. It's going to be a dual-SIM device with a 5" display of 720p resolution, a Snapdragon 400 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, plus an 8MP rear camera.

Moto X+1

When we first heard about the Moto 360 smartwatch, Motorola said that it would be released in "late summer", a release window that was echoed during Google I/O. The general thinking has been that the 360 would be released alongside the Moto X+1. Unfortunately, another new rumor is pushing back that release until late September.

According to a source for DroidLife, Verizon is expecting the release of the Moto X+1 on September 25th, which you may notice is not "late summer" at all, but rather "very early fall". Of course, there is always the chance that the 360 would be released beforehand, or that Verizon is getting the X+1 later than other carriers. But, either way, it seems like we're going to have to wait quite a bit before seeing what Motorola's next flagship looks like.

Moto X

Punit Soni, Motorola's VP of Product Management, has confirmed over Google+ that the Motorola Moto X will be getting the latest Android L release.

The Moto X was one of the few devices that was released under Google's brief ownership of Motorola Mobility, but has still been very quick to receive Android updates, as was the case with Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Moto X turned one year old this month, but it's still one of the more stylish droids thanks to its compact 4.7-inch display covered in Gorilla Glass 3. For more on the X, check out our comprehensive review.
