galaxy s30

The next Samsung Galaxy S30 or as it might be called the Samsung Galaxy S21 is likely to be a powerful smartphone, but it might not be quite as high-tech as we are hoping so. Recently Samsung Galaxy S30 was spotted on Geekbench but its specs and scores on the benchmark weren't overly impressive.

According to the benchmark result, the phone has the same amount of memory as the Galaxy S20, Android 11, and an Exynos 2100 chipset. The last thing is interesting because there isn't much upgrade to this model in terms of specs. The fact that we never heard of this processing chip before, so this could be fake or misleading. And even if it's real, it's going to be based on pre-release hardware, so the speed of Samsung Galaxy S30 plus would be better.

There are some rumors about Samsung using the chipset called the Exynos 1000 in the Galaxy S30 range. You might have guessed that the Exynos 2100 is better and faster than Exynos 1000 but the multi-core score of 3,060 and a single-core score of 1,030 listed here are both below an early benchmark of the Exynos 1000. Samsung might put the Snapdragon chipset in the US version of the Galaxy S30.

The phone will be running Android 11 out of the box, with Samsung's overall of OneUI. An early report suggested that the phone will be using at least 4,800 mAh battery for the Samsung Galaxy S30+ that is a slight upgrade from its predecessor's 4,500mAh battery.

According to recent reports, Samsung is setting its hopes high for its new premier folding phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Releasing a year after their prior model, the Fold 2 boasts a larger screen, higher resolutions, a faster processor, and a 120Hz display. Samsung hopes these components, combined with a more welcoming market, could push their new device to record heights.

As reported on the Korean website YonHap News, the tech giant has committed to manufacturing 800,000 units in 2020 alone. This is thought to be hundreds of thousands of more units than with their prior iteration, which had around 500,000 developed in a similar timeframe.

Supporting this confidence are preorder numbers that Samsung saw at its home in Korea. Reaching over 50,000, these might be dwarfed by traditional smart-phone preorder numbers, but they still set a record for folding screen devices. So, what might this mean for the future of the folding-phone?

Market Saturation

There's little doubt that folding phones can allow more engaging methods of interaction, but the industry is yet unsure of whether these advantages outweigh the costs for the average buyer. In regular operations, standard smartphones offer few downsides, and this is likely to remain true for the bulk of users.

Confounding this is the fact that current trends show an increasing number of users turning to mobiles as their default media devices. A recent report published by the World Advertising Research Center predicted that by 2025, around 72.6 percent of internet users will access the web solely on their smartphone. This could facilitate a change where greater importance is placed on mobile screen space as it is with computer monitors and TV screens.

The question then becomes where the line is drawn. Consider a common use for mobiles, such as playing online casino games. On this front, you could check how the latest casino bonuses are rated and reviewed here, find the right website, and get playing from any standard smartphone. A larger screen might allow slightly easier navigation and interaction, but these improvements would be minor.

On the other hand, we could use the example of somebody who mostly uses their phone for social media and watching video streams. In this case, the advantages of folding devices would be much more pronounced, meaning the extra cost folding phones incur might not be as much of an issue. Additionally, we'd need to consider the socio-cultural aspects of how folding phones operate. Will there be a bias about watching media on mobiles as has been seen in Hollywood circles, and would this matter to most people?

Replacement or Alternative

Ultimately, unless we know the end-state of device costs versus evolving user demands, it's impossible to predict how devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will perform. While current indicators are strong, it's also possible that high prices and lack of user interest could cause a downturn as seen in the recent VR market. For the next few years at least, folding and traditional smartphones are likely to exist as alternatives. Beyond this point, we might see a situation where one becomes increasingly niche, or where one largely replaces the other.

galaxy s20

With the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 ultra launched in March 2020, we were expecting another Samsung Galaxy s20 as a more affordable model of the phone. But instead of the ‘Lite' model, Samsung introduced the fan edition this year. Here is everything we know about the phone so far. Samsung has confirmed that it will host another event for the smartphone. The invitation features flashes through many phone colors - but we aren't sure if the event is for Fan edition. The event will take place on 23 Sept 2020 at 15:00 BST. You will be able the watch the event live online at its YouTube channel. The S20 Fan edition is expected to be stored somewhere in October 2020.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan edition is rumored to launch at 900,000 won, which is around £580 in the UK or $760 in the US, both of which are lower than the S20, as expected. As the phone will come in a 5G version, we are expecting a slightly higher price but still under £700. Based on the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will have the identical design to the vanilla Galaxy S20 but may have a plastic rear side. The device will have a rectangular camera module on the back just like the S20 series and Note 20 series with a 3.3mm punch-hole front camera.

The phone is rumored to have a 6.5-inches display with a 120Hz refresh rate with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and 407ppi. Samsung has placed an under-display fingerprint sensor for a more refined look with a flat display rather than the curved one and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front side. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset worldwide, and not Exynos in some regions, though a model with Exynos has now also appeared for 5G. Samsung Galaxy S20 fan edition will have a triple rear camera system with a 12MP as a primary camera lens, a 12MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. The phone will have an optical zoom up to 3x.

galaxy note 20 ultra

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is supposed to be unveiled at the company's online Galaxy unpacked event specifically held for the device. But, just ahead of the launch event on August 5, we have another major leak explaining all details of the most premium model in the Galaxy Note 20 series. Last few weeks we have seen multiple renders of the same phone that shows off its design features and available colors from different angles. With this major leak, there is hardly anything left to our imagination. The company will also unveil two more models in the Galaxy Note series - including the basic Galaxy Note 20 ode and the Galaxy Note 20+.

Last month WinFuture.de published a few renders of the Galaxy Note 20 ultra. The renders suggest that the phone will be available in mystic black and mystic bronze colors. The phone is seen to feature a curved-edged Infinity-O display with the cut out placed in the top center. It has the same S pen as the previous model and physical buttons that sit on the right edge of the screen. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 ultra comes with a triple camera system at the rear side that is rumored to support digital zoom up to 50x. The phone will also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Coming to the specifications, the report says that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will run on Android 10-based One UI, and support dual-SIM slots with additional eSIM functionality. It is expected to feature a 6.9-inch (1,440x3,200 pixels) dynamic OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, curved edges, a 19.3:9 aspect ratio, 508ppi pixel density.

It is rumored to be the first phone to come with Corning Gorilla Glass 7 protection. The phone is powered by the 2.7GHz Exynos 990 octa-core processor paired with 12GB of memory. The device also features 256GB or 512GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is expected to have a 10-megapixel sensor for the front camera. The battery is a 4,500mAh battery that can be charged up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. The phone also supports wireless charging.

galaxy ultra

Just recently official render of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was uploaded by Samsung itself. And it looks similar to the previous renders of the upcoming premium smartphone. Reputable leaker Max Weinbach was seemingly the first one to report a pair of images, he found on a Russian version of the Samsung website. Other tech magazines and reporters quickly picked the story and spread the word, with Ben Geskin even tweeting a link - which was still live at the press time. The link was pointed to Samsung's official site showing the render of Galaxy Note 20 ultra. The phone shown in the pictures is in Mystic Bronze color and looks stunning.

Leaker @Onleaks leaked a similar render back in May - though he'd referred to is as the Galaxy Note 20 Plus instead of Note 20 ultra at that time. Nothing in the new image indicates that this is the Ultra model, as even the image's link slug refers to it as the ‘galaxy-note8', so it's the series of leakers who are asserting that this is, in fact, the long-rumored Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Other leaks suggest that there would be a stylus-packing Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in plus size.

We are expecting Note 20 line to be released somewhere in August, we are anticipating more leaks and rumors that give us insight into what the ultra looks like, though this picture gives lots of answers to our design questions. As per rumors and leaks, Galaxy Note 2 ultra will be an evolutionary version of Note 10 plus and will be powered by Snapdragon 865+. The display will be QHD with a 120Hz display refresh rate. We don't know about the price so far, but it is safe to assume that this will be the most expensive handset from the series.
