Sony invented a new line of microSD cards that can produce better sound if they are made from the right materials and tuned just right to minimize electric noise coming from the card while it's working.

It theory a poorly designed component could interfere with the electric system of a phone or MP3 player and mess up the accuracy of its amps. Though in reality the label is an audiophile placebo that will cost around $155 when it comes out in Japan on March,5th.

Either way, unless you paid twice as much for your headphones than you would for this card and you listen exclusively to FLAC, you don't need the Premium Sound microSD card. And even if you do, you probably still don't need one.

It may come as a sad news to some users. Latest rumors indicates that, Sony might Exit the smartphone market in a bid to become profitable once again. The Japanese tech giant's CEO Kazuo Hurai announced at a press conference that Sony will no longer pursue sales growth in the highly competitive field.

Right in line with past reports, Mr. Hirai revealed that the company will consider a sale of its struggling smartphone and television businesses. However, there is no deal currently in the works.

Despite developing quality Android smartphones, Sony has struggled in the highly competitive smartphone field. The company has been sandwiched between rivals such as Apple and Samsung in the high end and the army of Chinese companies in the low end of the market.

Reports online suggests that Sony's upcoming flagship smartphone, Sony Xperia Z4 might have been certified by the FCC in the US. It turns out that a unknown Sony smartphone has just visited the agency wearing very little identification. FCC papers show that the device supports LTE bands 2, 5 and 7, which gives away nothing special about the handset.

The latest rumored specs for the Sony Xperia Z4 include two different variations of the phone. A model carrying a 5.2-inch screen with resolution of 1440 x 2560 features a pixel density of 565ppi. Another model with a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 resolution screen offers a pixel density of 424ppi. Both models are equipped with a 64-bit octa-core 2GHz Snapdragon 810 processor.
