Service provider ATT today announced the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The newest 5.5 inch Android Jelly Bean handset will be available to AT&T customers starting November 9 - just two weeks after Sprint launches its version.
Similar to Sprint, ATT will ask $299.99 for the Samsung Galaxy Note II with a contract. Pre-orders will begin on October 25.
As you may already know, the Samsung Galaxy Note II has a quad-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.6GHz, LTE connectivity, S Pen, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, and a 3,100 mAh battery.
Verizon, T-Mobile and US Cellular may also launch the Samsung Galaxy Note II in the US, but haven't provided specific launch dates yet. Here's the ATT press release.
Beginning Nov. 9 customers interested in picking up a Samsung Galaxy Note® II will be able to purchase one for $299.99 with a two-year agreement in all AT&T* stores and online. Online pre-orders for this highly anticipated device are planned for Oct. 25 at www.att.com/galaxynoteii.
Announced last month, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is one of the first smartphones launching at AT&T to feature a quad-core processor. Galaxy Note II uses a 1.6 GHz quad-core ExynosTM processor with powerful graphics capabilities. The Galaxy Note II is thinner and narrower than the first Galaxy Note, and it improves upon the original with longer battery life, as well as enhancements to the S PenTM. AT&T is the only carrier to offer the original Samsung Galaxy NoteTM at $199.99 with a two-year agreement.
The Galaxy Note II will run on AT&T's 4G LTE network. It will ship running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on its beautiful 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLEDTM display, perfect for customers who want the productivity of a tablet with the portability of a smartphone. The 8-megapixel camera allows users to easily share their photos with friends through Share Shot, while S BeamTM lets you quickly share videos, pictures, maps and more with other Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S® III devices.
AT&T customers have access to the nation's largest 4G network**, covering 275 million people. AT&T has two 4G networks that work together for customers, LTE and HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul. That means AT&T customers are able to enjoy a widespread, ultra-fast and consistent 4G experience on their compatible device as they move in and out of LTE areas. With other carriers, when you travel outside of their LTE coverage area, you may be on a much slower 3G network.

Battery power consumption depends on factors such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, vibrate mode, backlight settings, browser use, frequency of calls and voice, data and other application usage patterns.
Generally speaking, Walmart is less expensive than T-Mobile directly but when it comes to the Galaxy Note II, $299 is looking like a standardized price considering that's the same price Sprint announced for their Note II variant. As with all early pricing, these amounts are subject to change.
According to the leak from Tmonews.com, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for T-Mobile could launch at a price of $300, with the LG Optimus LG L9 coming in at under a dollar. With Walmart being the "low price leader," I also hope there will be some type of mail-in rebates for the Galaxy Note II. We will just have to wait and see.

T-Mobile just announced the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note II. The new smartphone features T-Mobile's largest smartphone screen - a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED® screen - for an enhanced entertainment experience and improved productivity while using the device. The Galaxy Note II is T-Mobile's first device with a quad-core processor, featuring Samsung's 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor. Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and US Cellular will also launch the Samsung Galaxy Note II in the US pretty soon. They should all start selling it my mid-November the latest.
Hey Android Developers, check this out, Samsung just released the source code for that newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 2. While the phone hasn't hit the streets in lots of regions around the world including the USA, those folks do not need to apply anyway since the code found at Samsung's Open Source Release Center is catered toward the GT-N7100 sort of the phone.
The code needs to be enough to get your clients started down the path toward custom ROMs for the 5.5-inch "phablet." Search these model number at the source link below to locate it.
The Galaxy Note II is based on Android 4.1.1 with the new TouchWiz interface. Thanks to this release developers could make easier new DEV roms for the Galaxy Note II.
