After everything that's been said and done, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are two of the best smartphones of 2017 yet and any upcoming smartphone from Samsung itself or other manufacturers will have a hard time beating it. Even then, there's definitely room for improvement on the S8 line-up and on that note, let's check out what Samsung can and should do to improve the Note 8 sufficiently before its final release in the second half of the year.

Better Location for the Fingerprint Scanner

Let's get the obvious one out of the way first; Samsung needs to place the fingerprint scanner in the middle of the Note 8's back or go with an under-the-display ultrasonic scanner. I am pretty sure that Samsung knows that as well and it will happen.

Better Speakers

We really need better speakers on the Note 8 because the S8 series features speakers that are simply not fit for a flagship handset to be honest. Especially with Harman under their wing now, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Dual Camera at the Back

It's not about the gimmick, but about better photos and lossless optical zoom. A tele lens could be a great addition to the upcoming Note.

Better Battery

This one is the least likely to happen as Samsung will be extra careful with the battery in light of the Note 7 disaster which happened last year. Nevertheless, it would be great to see the massive display of the Galaxy Note 8 being supported by at least a 4,000mAh battery.

Mother's Day is for appreciating our mothers for the crucial roles they play in all our lives and what better way to make them feel appreciated than giving them the gift of Samsung's latest bezel-less wonder! At least that's what T-Mobile thinks anyway as they just announced the "Buy One Get One Free" offer for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, citing Mother's Day in the promotion. Whatever your reasons may be, it definitely sounds like a good deal to get two of the new flagship smartphones for the price of one.

As always, it isn't as simple as it sounds and T-Mobile won't exactly be giving you two brand new Galaxy S8/S8+ handsets for the price of one like one may think. You will have to pay for both the phones with instalments, but once the cost of both the smartphones is covered, T-Mobile will give you a $750 prepaid rebate card. Also, you will have to maintain two connections from T-Mobile as well. This is not to say that it's a bad deal, it's just not "exactly" what it sound like. Then again, when is it ever!

Although Android Nougat for the Galaxy Tab A was released just a few days ago, unfortunately, it was meant only for the Tab A 10.1 (2016) and not its smaller, older sibling. When reports about an update being rolling out for the older tablet began to circulate, many of us hoped against our better judgement that maybe Samsung is feeling particularly generous this year towards the Tab A line-up! However, that was not meant to be, because firmware version P350ZSU1BQD5 only contains the April security update, a few minor improvements and some bug fixes introduced by Samsung. The Wi-Fi + LTE version should also get it soon, but at this moment, just the Galaxy Tab A Wi-Fi only variant is receiving the update via OTA.

In case you still own the aged Galaxy Core Prime released by Samsung back in 2014, you should be pleased to know that Samsung is currently rolling out the same April security update for both versions of the device as well. If you were hoping that Nougat is coming to the Core Prime, we suggest that you try a custom ROM!

After a whole list of rumors, leaks, Wi-Fi certification and FCC certification reports, Samsung has finally made the fourth iteration of its Tizen powered smartphone official. In the words of President Dj Koh himself, "The Samsung Z4 brings a simplified mobile experience to first-time smartphone users and represents our ongoing commitment to expanding the Tizen ecosystem." It has to be said that when Koh said, "simplified mobile experience," he wasn't kidding, because the Z4 is as simple as they come! Check out the specifications below to get a second hand taste of the simplicity at work here.

4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480×800
1.5GHz quad-core SoC
1GB of RAM
5mp cameras with flash, both in front and at the back of the device
Dual SIM support
2,050mAh battery

Frankly, I have no idea why Samsung would even release a handset like that, or who would buy them. If you are new to smartphones, you are much better off with a low end Android smartphone than one that is powered by Samsung's allegedly insecure and buggy OS. The only people who might buy them are those that have no idea how much more they can get for their money, especially in emerging markets like India. By the way, that's exactly where Samsung is launching the handset first in May...
