Forgetting our passwords is something that most of us have faced at one point of time or the other, but Samsung might be preparing a solution for their forgetful customers according to a new patent which they have filed. Apparently, Samsung is developing technology which will allow for palm scanning to help you remember your password.
As far as we can tell, the front camera of the smartphone will be used to take a picture of your palm and the palm scanning technology will start dropping hints if you happen to have forgotten the password in question. This essentially makes it safer than face scan actually, since people will likely have a hard time finding a clear picture of your palm anywhere! Even if someone is looking at the screen while you scan your palm in for a hint, they won't have any real idea about the password as the smartphone will only show you the hint and that too in a cryptic manner, hidden along your own palm lines. As you already know the password and the associated hint, it will be enough for you to remember it. All this sounds amazing, but we will have to wait and see how it works in the real world on release.

Today's brand new firmware updates include a combination of something for both the older and comparatively newer Samsung smartphones. Just choose the right model, go through our tutorial and download the firmware rigth now.
If you happen to own a Galaxy Note 8 in the US without contract, we have good news for you because as per a report by PhoneArena, the latest flagship handset from Samsung just started receiving the November security update via OTA in the United States. The update fixes 6 of Samsung's own bugs and vulnerabilities in the User Interface, along with 61 problems common to all Android OS powered smartphones and tablets. The fix for the KRACK Wi-Fi security threat is also included.
The Verizon versions of the Galaxy Note 8 also started receiving an OTA update, but as it turns out, it does not contain the November security patch, but only the update for October; talk about being late! Even the Verizon update includes the KRACK patch though. What the this update from Verizon does have however, are modifications and improvements on the camera app. The details of which, you can check out below.

November is not over yet and Samsung is still in the process of rolling out the Google security update of the month to its eligible smartphone models. The Galaxy J7 Pro is the latest on the OEM's list as the model just started receiving an OTA package with the November security patch a few hours ago. As of now, the update is only rolling out in Paraguay, but this is an indication that the J7 Pro in the other regions will start receiving the same release soon as well.
This update (firmware version j730GUBU2AQJ3) patches six of Samsung's own UI related vulnerabilities and 61 of Google's Android OS bugs and gaps. In case you are wondering, it also patches the infamous KRACK Wi-Fi hacking vulnerability as well. If you are reading this in Paraguay, then chances are that the update will hit your smartphone any time now, if it hasn't already.
