Flex

Qualcomm teased us with the Successor of the curved LG G Flex on Twitter. The upcoming High-End Curved-Design smartphone will make its official debut next week during CES 2015 in Las Vegas in line with past rumors.

The image gives us a peak of a device's back without mentioning its manufacturer. However, the buttons on the back, coupled with the distinctive pattern that LG's self-healing polycarbonate totes, leave no room for doubt that the device is indeed from the Korean manufacturer.

Today, an announcement came from LG claiming that it's latest flagship, LG G3 will be the first to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop treatment. Poland has started rolling-out with other regions to follow. Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG, shared LG's plans: "LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority."

"The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is." - The CEO added.

Lollipop

LG announced its plans on Updating its Latest flagship LG G3 to Android 5.0 Lollipop. LG German Facebook account has revealed that they will be looking to get the update out at some point in the fourth quarter, which is just another way to say by the End of 2014, which hints to a late December release.

Of course, that doesn't mean anyone and everyone will have the upgrade by then. This is likely the estimate for unlocked versions of the handset. Carrier-specific models will no doubt be subject to a bit of a delay and might stretch the timeline for many of you into 2015.

LG also confirmed plans to bring the upgrade to the LG G2, though they didn't have a solid date or window of time to commit to you'll simply be getting it "later" than the G3 crowd. We haven't gotten a taste of what Lollipop life on LG's handsets would be like but we imagine we'll have a better look as we inch toward the end of the calendar year.

LG G3

The LG G3 is going to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop Update by the end of this year, according to an LG representative for the Netherlands and Belgium cited by TechTastic. He didn't give a more specific time frame, as we suspect the company is going to make an official announcement regarding its update plans.

The LG G3 is probably going to be joined by the LG G Pro 2 since both are the company's flagships as of now. However, we suspect more devices will be blessed with Android 5.0 Lollipop goodness such as the LG G3 S, G3 Stylus, G2 and the mid-range L90 and L70.

We don't know yet how LG plans to alter its most recent Optimus UI to better suit the new spirit of Android. The company likes to add a lot of additional features, so it'll be interesting to see how it manages to incorporate them in a hopefully clean and useful fashion.

LG G3

LG has confirmed that LG G3 Burgundy Red and Moon Violet colors are going to be out in August. These tow new colors is a new addition to the White, Black and Gold colors that are already available.

Unfortunately though, more detailed information isn't available just yet. The Korean company says the rollout of the new colors will take several weeks, and release dates will be decided locally in conjunction with carriers. Apparently we should expect announcements to be made for each market that will get the new options.

This probably means that you shouldn't expect to see the two new hues being offered everywhere the other colors are already available. This is nothing new, of course, as more niche paint jobs such as these usually enjoy limited releases compared to the best selling ones.
