Samsung Chips factory


As you may know that Apple A6 and A6X chips and all other previous A-series processor chips that were included on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad is Manufactured by Samsung Inc., Samsung and Apple has a contract so Apple can't simply call another company and ask them to manufacture its chips... So Samsung takes it as a chance for revenge and pumped up the price of the Apple processors chips 20% and as you can see Apple has no choice but to agree.

That's mean that Apple will pay Samsung 20% more for every chip it manufacture for every idevice. Samsung made roughly 130 million processors for Apple in 2011. This year that number is expected to surpass 200 million. And the contract that Apple and Samsung have won't expire until 2014.

If you have been following the latest in the Samsung-Apple patent battle as closely as you watch the latest LiLo mishap on TMZ, you know that on December 6th, Judge Lucy Koh will be entertaining post-trial motions from both tech giants. Both firms submitted the final versions of their pleadings to the court on Friday with a 12 midnight deadline staring them both in the face. We already know that Samsung is asking Judge Koh to toss the original verdict and order a new trial based on the peculiar actions of one Velvin Hogan.

Apple seeks to have a portion of the $1.05 billion awarded to the company tripled, which can be done when a defendant is deemed to have wilfully infringed on a patent. More importantly to Samsung, Apple seeks permanent injunctions on the devices that infringed on Apple patents according to the jury. Samsung's response that Apple had allegedly licensed its multitouch OS to the competition led to a response from Apple that such licenses were rarely given and should not stand in the way of a permanent injunction.

S2 virgin

 

Virgin Mobile, the pre-paid carrier, is going to add the Samsung Galaxy S2 to its line-up with a pretty good price, looks like Samsung's previous flagship device still kicking.


The price for the Samsung Galaxy S II will be $369.99 without a contract, and outside of the Virgin logo on the back, the phone should look exactly like the Samsung Epic 4G Touch, which was the name Sprint gave to its version of the Galaxy S II. The phone will be available starting November 15th, in silver or white.

The Jelly Bean-running Galaxy Camera was announced in August and arrives this month just as promised. Clove UK already got its first shipment and is selling it for £400. Samsung tectiles

 

Samsung TecTile is a programmable NFC tags can perform lots of cool stuff when an NFC-enabled smartphone is in proximity, so one can launch apps, make a call, open website.. etc. Today, Samsung is announcing a new version of the TecTile mobile app, thus expanding the list of things you can do with TecTiles even further.


With Tectile app version 3.0, users can assign a string of actions to a single TecTile. That way one can have their Bluetooth radio turned on and navigation app launched when in the car, or the ringer volume turned down and the alarm clock app launched when it's bed time.

Another new feature, is to have one TecTile tab can perform different actions depending on whose smartphone is tapped on it. That would make it more convenient for multiple users to use the same TecTiles around their home or workplace. Samsung Brand

 

 


Samsung Electronics, The leading Smartphone Manufacturer , is preparing for a huge brand makeover. Samsung will roll out a brand new identity at CES 2013 this January, according to sources speaking for Channel News.


The present blue Samsung logo will go away, and get replaced with new individual colors that are made to represent the brand more as a global one, rather than Korean.

 

 

"Samsung's brand became powerful only after they put a Chief Design Officer in place and made it a priority for the company. Now they are moving to expand the brand globally,"  - Design VP at Lenovo, David Hill.

Premier

 

Samsung officially announced the GALAXY Premier in taiwan just a few days ago, Now the device has just Hit the FCC office. The FCC report indicate that the handset GALAXY Premier I9260 doesn't have a LTE support, but it does have the right bands that would allow it to work on AT&T's HSPA+ 3G network.

Exynos 5


The Samsung-made Exynos 5 chipset, has gone through some benchmarking and to has proved to be quite the performance champion.

The test in question is GL Benchmark and currently the dual-core Cortex A15 processor running at 1.7GHz and quad-core ARM Mali T604 GPU tops the charts, beating the LG Optimus G and the Pantech Vega R3. The Mali-T604 inside the Exynos 5 smokes the Adreno 320 GPU (found in the Optimus G), managing nearly 34 fps in the GLBenchmark 2.5 Egypt HD Offscreen (1080p) test.

Samsung has just officially announced the New Samsung GALAXY Premier I9260. The Premier is essentially a Galaxy Nexus with slightly updated hardware and running Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz User interface on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Exynos 5450

 


The new Samsung-made Nexus 10 uses the next-generation Exynos chipset an Exynos 5 with two Cortex-A15 cores at 1.7GHz and Mali-604 GPU, to be exact the chip name is Exynos 5250


Rumors, from a korean source, that the next Samsung Galaxy S IV will use an Exynos 5 chipset should come as no surprise, but the rumor is pointing to the Exynos 5450 with a Quad-core A15 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and a beefier Quad-core Mali-658 GPU, which is faster than the Nexus 10's Exynos 5250

The Exynos 5450 will be made on a 28nm process (instead of 32nm as the Exynos 5250) and the CPU will probably be downclocked to at least 1.7GHz, but even then battery might be an issue.
