If you have been following the buzz circulating around the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, then you probably already know that Samsung does indeed have a 6GB RAM variant of the larger Galaxy S8+ up its sleeves, just like the rumors had suggested before the news was confirmed by Samsung officially. However, many of us were disappointed when it was revealed that the 6GB RAM variant, which also has 128GB of internal storage, is going to be exclusive to South Korea for now.
Nevertheless, a new report out of Samsung's home nation is saying that this could change. The 6GB/128GB S8+ will likely make its way into at least a few other regions as well, if Samsung feels that enough customers in the area want the device. China is probably the most prominent example of a country which loves their smartphones with more memory and internal storage. Samsung's first and only 6GB RAM phone, the Galaxy C9 Pro was released there first. We will soon find out whether or not Samsung decides to bring it to any European countries or the US. However, the question remains; if it does indeed come to a store near you, would you be willing to shell out more than a thousand dollars for the extra storage and RAM?

Although the upgrade to Android Nougat is probably the update that all of you are waiting for when it comes to the C9 Pro, unfortunately, it isn't out yet. Nevertheless, the April SMR from Android, along with Samsung's own set of bug fixes for the Galaxy C9 Pro has just started to hit the high-end device. The report from The Android Soul did not specifically mention the regions receiving the updates currently, but chances are that all of the regions will start receiving the OTA update within a few days because there are only a handful of nations where the C9 Pro is being sold currently.
The firmware version of the update is C900FDDU1AQC5 and it should provide protection against all the latest threats to security posed by malware and hackers to the overall Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and the overlying Samsung UI. Don't worry much about the Nougat update right now as the C9 Pro is guaranteed to get it soon (fingers crossed!). Also, the Marshmallow v6.0.1 OS runs pretty smooth on the SD 653 SoC and 6GB RAM, so you shouldn't have much to complain about. The Project Valley or the Galaxy X is no secret now, especially since rumors have been predicting a release every year for the last few years. Whether or not this is another one of those rumors that doesn't really mean much is something that we will have to wait and find out.
The prototype will not see more than two to three thousand units being manufactured before being released during the first half of the year, according to the report. While that is a remarkably low number for a smartphone to reach public hands, it is quite a high number for a prototype as well. It will possibly be released only to test groups in order to see how the public reacts to the smartphone, before going into mass production with dual-screen devices. The reports of the test or survey will probably determine whether or not most of us will ever see a dual-display touting phone from the Korean giant.
The prototype allegedly has two OLED (Super AMOLED probably) panels that connect with the help of a hinge in-between them. The 180-degree rotation will allow the phone to be carried like a portable smartphone and used like a medium sized tablet. We have heard these things before, so let's just hope it's true this time around.
