If the title did not strike you as odd, then that's because you probably don't know about the history of Samsung Galaxy S Active series. Till date, AT&T has been the only carrier to launch and sell the Galaxy S Active series of smartphones. However, according to a recent report by Evan Blass and a number of other rumors, Samsung is about to break the Active series out of the exclusive partnership deal with AT&T to make the S8 Active also available on other carriers such as Sprint and T-Mobile.
The Galaxy S8 Active (SM-G892A) became available for purchase from AT&T back in August, but it seems like the rugged handset will become available across other networks by the time the Holidays arrive (or sooner). Interestingly, we have also seen another model of the S8 Active appear on Wi-Fi Alliance for testing purposes, which had the model number SM-G892U. As "U" most likely stands for "Unlocked," we wouldn't be surprised if Samsung is planning to release an unlocked version of the durable handset as well.

In my personal opinion, I am a bit disappointed to see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC powering the Razer Phone. Granted that it is still the most powerful Android chip, it's not even comparable with the Apple 10X Fusion chip on the iPad Pro and certainly not the latest A11 Bionic powering the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X when it comes to computing power. It would have been nice to see the Razer Phone debut with something special to offer, other than just the brand name!

Want to check out the latest Android firmware for Samsung devices? We have just that for you below! Check this tutorial on how to flash ROM updates onto your Samsung device with Odin3 and you are good to go. Enjoy.
Samsung was never really known for providing timely updates, but recently, they have come a long way. Gone are the days when you had to wait for updates without even knowing if you are ever going to get them. Although the latest OS updates are not yet something that the OEM rolls out to all its models, they do ship out the necessary security patches to almost every device nowadays. Unfortunately, the October security patch has been an exception to this rule as Samsung has taken a really long time in rolling this one out to even its flagship handsets. Nevertheless, if you own a Galaxy S6 Edge+, you should be happy to know that it's finally here, albeit in November!
The firmware carries build number G928CXXS3CQJ3 with it and will fix 215 vulnerabilities and bugs in the base Android OS. There will also be six fixes of Samsung's own for the overlying user interface. As per SamMobile, the update has hit multiple regions including the Middle East and South Africa, but if you have received the same in some other region, do let us know in the comments.
Head over to our firmware section to find all the latest available updates for your Samsung smartphones and tablets.
