It certainly looks that way because a very reputed source (The Wall Street Journal) has just revealed that Apple will be launching the bezel-less beauty on September 12, which is roughly two weeks from now. I called it a beauty but keep in mind that a lot of people disagree with the design choice. Nevertheless, that has not kept the upcoming smartphone from becoming the most anticipated handset of 2017.

Strangely enough, certain rumors are also predicting that Apple will also be launching the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus on the same date and if that turns out to be true, I must admit that it would be bizarre! Other expected products to be launched at the event include a brand new Apple Watch with LTE and a new Apple TV with support for 4K streaming.

It would be interesting to see how well people receive the iPhone 8 with its wireless charging capabilities, facial recognition technology and borderless design. A lot of talk has been going on around the probable price of the smartphone, which is expected to start at $1,000 and go up as high as $1,400 for the models with more storage. Of course, we all know that in reality, the steep price won't matter and people will probably buy even more of these phones this year because of the price itself. We can't help it; most human beings are vain creatures!

Boy Genius report or BGR has confirmed that what you see in the picture above you is exactly how the iPhone 8 will look or at least "99 percent the phone" anyway. Jonathan Geller, who is the founder and the editor-in-chief of BGR went on record saying "Those pictures, while they're not the real phone - they're based on designs and molds and engineering samples - I would say that's 99 percent the phone." He made the proclamation on "Squawk Box."

From what we have gathered from this leak and also previous ones from credible leaksters, the following bullet points can be summarized about the upcoming iPhone 8.

• It will have a borderless 5.8-inch display with 2.5D glass
• The 18:9 ratio we saw previously on the Galaxy S8 (18.5:9) and the LG G6 are going to make an appearance on the iPhone 8 as well
• The dual cameras will be arranged vertically
• The Touch ID sensor may or may not be integrated into the large power button
• At least one version of the iPhone 8 should feature an OLED display
• It will likely feature wireless charging

What do you think of the iPhone 8 if it does indeed look like this? Do you love it or hate it? Let us know in the comments.

Although it isn't official, we now have a very clear cut idea about how the iPhone 8 (or iPhone 7S, whatever they decide to call it) will look when it comes out in September. The images that you see in here is pretty much how the iPhone 8 will look and rest assured that this has left the realms of rumors and leaks and entered the plain of fact! Unbox Therapy showed it all to us, albeit via prototype models than the real thing. You can check the video out below to know everything that you need to.

Given that this is the model on which all case manufacturers are building their products on, this is pretty much it. Lewis Hilsenteger has an interesting theory in mind regarding the fingerprint scanning technology which the next iPhone will integrate; he thinks that instead of integrating the fingerprint scanner inside the display like many of us were hoping to see, Apple will simply skip it altogether! Instead they will go for an advanced version of the face recognition technology which we saw on the Galaxy S8 earlier. This is in sharp contrast with the speculation that Apple will integrate the FP scanner right inside the oversized power button. We will just have to wait and see what's what I guess.

The iPhone 8 is already one of the most anticipated phones of the year and given how much revolutionary the smartphone has been made out to be by fan made concepts, leaks and rumors, it would be safe to say that Apple's future flagship device has even surpassed the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 in terms of hype. People have a pretty good idea about the Note 8 because they have already seen the Galaxy S8+, but no one has ever seen anything like the iPhone OLED from Apple, given that the rumors are even remotely on track of course. To add to those series of rumors, we have another one for you today and it's a very interesting one to say the least.

The borderless OLED display which will presumably make its debut on an iPhone for the first time ever, poses one great problem which had earlier plagued (and still continues to plague) the S8 and S8+; there is no place left on the front to incorporate the fingerprint scanner. As the necessary technology for in-screen fingerprint scanners are not ready for mass production yet, Samsung has reportedly decided to go with an old-fashioned fingerprint scanner right at the centre of the Note 8's back. Apple on the other hand, has allegedly, shifted the fingerprint scanner to the iPhone 8's Power button! While Sony had placed the FP scanner at the side of its smartphones before, Power button integration for the security measure would indeed be a first.

For a change, we are not talking about any rumors today but we are most definitely talking about a leak and trust me when I say that it's a big one. This one doesn't come from any external Chinese sources or reliable leaksters, but straight from mouth of the Horse itself.

While speaking to the media at the Annual Shareholder's Meeting, Robert Hwang spoke the following words, "Assembly process for the previous generations of [iPhones] have not changed much, though new features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing." As Hwang is the CEO of the company (Wiston) which assembles the iPhones for Apple, this pretty much confirms two things; waterproofing and wireless charging is definitely coming to the iPhone 8.

This accidental leak by Hwang is the second one in recent history as Allen Horng, the CEO of Catcher Technology had let one slip about Apple shifting to a new type of glass chassis with the iPhone 8, back in 2016. Let's hope we get a few more before the actual phone is released a few months later.
