Google has launched its first router ever, but you will have to wait till December to get your hands on one. Although the pre-orders will start from next month, it won't be until December that the company will start shipping the Wi-Fi router to their customers. A single unit will set you back by $129 but if you can find two other interested friends, you can have a pack of three for only $299. Provided that you have a big enough house, you can also use multiple of these as the modular devices may also be used to widen the signal area of your primary router's connection.

Google Wi-Fi will allow the admin to control network usage by enabling him/her to restrict data consumption on any of the connected devices. The Network Assist feature will continue to improve the performance of your network, in addition to decongesting it. It supports mesh networking as well, in case you already have an OnHub router.

After months of rumors, the Pixel phones have now been officially revealed and here's a short summary of what Google announced about them. Check the photo above if you want to see the hardware specs.

Size, color and material - The Pixel (5-inch display) and the Pixel XL (5.5-inch display), both will come in silver, black and blue (limited Edition). They will sport an aluminium (aerospace-grade) unibody design with an overall smooth texture.

Unlimited cloud storage - All Pixel users will be given unlimited cloud storage options for their photos and videos via Google Photos.

Pixel Imprint and "Moves"- The fingerprint scanner at the back (Pixel imprint) will now notify you about new messages, emails and other notifications.

Google Assistant and Google Duo - Google Assistant will replace Google Now and the two phones will come with the virtual assistant preloaded as an in-built feature. It's the same with the Google Duo video calling app, which also comes pre-loaded into the two smartphones.

Support Tab - There's an actual Support Tab inside the Settings menu which will let you connect with an expert to solve any problem that you might be facing on the phone.

Personalised case - A user customizable live case will work in sync with Google Earth and Google Trends.

Quick Switch Adapter - The Quick Switch Adapter will let you transfer your media, contacts and even iMessages to the new Pixel phone.

Best camera ever? - Google has proudly announced that the two phones will sport the best camera ever seen on a smartphone yet (DxoMark score is 89).

It is almost impossible to keep a smartphone secret before its official unveiling date these days and as it turns out, the new Pixel phones from Google are no exceptions either. Multiple retailers have leaked all details about the Google Pixel smartphones, ahead of its unveiling tomorrow. For example, Carphone Warehouse is a British retailer which had put up listings for the two phones for a very short time, before removing it. Whether it was an intentional marketing strategy or just a mistake, we are not really sure! Nevertheless, here is what the listings confirm for us about the Pixel and Pixel XL. Although the listing did mention external storage capacities, the consensus is that it was a mistake unfortunately.

The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are all set to launch around the world in October, but thanks to VentureBeat, what we have for you today are alleged renders of the two smartphones, ahead of time. What you see above is the smaller Pixel, with 5-inch Full HD display, 4GB of RAM, possibly a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (2GHz clock speed) processor, 32GB of internal storage and a 2,770mAh battery to power it all. There will also be a 12-megapixel rear snapper, an 8-megapixel selfie cam, USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner at the back and maybe even a 3.5mm headphone jack if we are lucky!

The Pixel XL pictured above will almost be identical to its smaller brother, except a bigger, better display and battery. The display on it will supposedly sport a 1440p Quad High Definition panel stretched over 5.5-inches. The battery is also significantly bigger at 3,450mAh in order to power that large QHD display. The two smartphones from Google are rumoured to be more expensive than any of the previous smartphones from the brand with a price tag that starts at $649. Both smartphones are being manufactured by HTC, under the Google Pixel branding.

Allo was announced earlier in 2016 at the Google I/O and the new messaging app is finally becoming available to Android and iOS devices around the world.
