HTC A9 marshmallow

Faster updates ? You must be talking about Google Nexus devices... No, this time it's HTC, the Taiwanese company just announced a new flagship device, HTC One A9, with Android 6.0 Marshmallow Pre-installed, as you may know HTC sense 7.0 is the reason of delaying every update due to the development & integration process with every new Android version.

Well, HTC has officially announced through its USA twitter account that it will be speeding up this process which will make the HTC One A9 receive every Android update within 15 days of the Nexus line having received it. That's a very bold promise, and one that's unique in the Android world so far.

We hope that the company keeps its promise and do the same thing to all its future flagship devices.

Are you a fan of the curved or Edge displays by Samsung? If not so, then you better start getting used to them because Samsung might not make flat screen variants for its future Galaxy S smartphones. In the words of Koh Dong-jin, who is the president of Samsung Mobiles,

"Samsung has considered that it would make the Edge display as the identity of the Galaxy S smartphone line-up if the company can provide consumers differentiated user experience through software and user-friendly functions (for the curved screen)."

We are pretty much sure that the reception and sales of the newly released Galaxy Note 7 with dual curved display will play a very important role in determining the future of the Galaxy S8. As no flat screen Note 7 variants were released this year, if this move turns out to be a success, the S8 may very well, follow the same trend next year. Even if they do not eliminate the flat display completely by 2017, the focus will definitely shift onto the Edge displays, provided the Note 7 manages to satisfy the customers as much as Samsung hopes it will.

What you see above is indeed the official Galaxy S10 ad for Norway, which was aired accidentally on TV apparently! It could be a mistake, but it could also be a strategically planned "leak" by the Samsung marketing team as well. In any case, this is your first official look at the Galaxy S10 series of smartphones which will be unveiled in less than two days, on February 21st.

Everything seems to be at par with what was expected as we see the punch hole cutout for the front cameras in front of the device and three rear cameras on the unit shown. Also, the in-display fingerprint scanner is really a thing this year with the Galaxy S10 after all, as per the ad. Keep in mind though that the entry level Galaxy S10e will probably not have the in-display fingerprint scanner like its more expensive siblings. Also, a pair of white wireless earbuds might be included with some versions of the S10, but then again, I am not exactly sure about that. What I am sure about is the fact that Samsung has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack, much to the delight of everyone with a sense of practicality.

TPB

Earlier on December,9th The Pirate Bay was raided at the Nacka station (Main TPB data cener), a nuclear-proof data center built into a mountain complex near Stockholm, Sweden. since then "thepiratebay.se" domain remained inaccessible, until today.

thepiratebay.se domain is Now Live, the website is still not functioning thought. Currently The Pirate Bay website is displaying a waving black flag background with the TPB logo along with a counter, counting up the time that's passed since the raid.

A few minutes ago came another big change when The Pirate Bay's main domain started pointing to a new IP-address (178.175.135.122) connected to a server hosted in Moldova. All this is indicating that the website may back to function again very soon.

Windows 10

Microsoft has officially released the Windows 10 as an update to Windows 7/8/8.1 users worldwide only two days ago.

In these two days, Windows 10 has already been installed more than 14 million times, its maker has revealed. And this was achieved in just the first 24 hours of availability. That's no small feat for such an incredibly short period of time.

Obviously, the great distribution was also helped tremendously by the fact that Microsoft is giving away the update to Windows 10 for free for those who have Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

Nexus 6

We had already seen an issue with the Nexus Player having its preorders pulled from the Google Play Store because the Android TV device hadn't passed through the FCC. But, we won't be having the same problems with the Nexus 6, because it has just gotten FCC approval, with plenty of time to spare before preorders start this Wednesday, October 29th.

There are two different models that have passed the FCC labeled with ID IHDT56QD2 and IHDT56QD1, but we can assume that they are the XT1100, which is the international variant, and the XT1103, which is the North American model, respectively.

Nexus 6

The filings aren't labeled as Nexus devices, but come from Motorola and have the same dimensions (159.4mm x 83mm) as the Nexus 6, so it's pretty easy to make the leap. The device also shows the other wireless tech that you would expect, like Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 3.0 and 4.0, NFC, and Qi wireless charging.
