The beta version of the Chrome browser often brings unique features to its Android users and this time around, they have introduced something that is sure to become an instant fan favourite. If you update your Chrome Beta to the latest version 54, it will now be able to play YouTube in the background. Prior to the update, videos would pause the moment you exited the app, like it does on most browsers. Post the update, a play/pause button will appear in your notifications panel on exiting the Chrome Beta browser, which you can then use to continue playing the video in the background, while accessing other apps on your device. Needless to say, users who largely listen to audio content on YouTube will particularly appreciate this feature.

If you are streaming music from a website on the Chrome Beta Browser, it will continue to play in the background on exiting, just like a dedicated music streaming application. Even though this is exciting news, there's a high chance that this feature will be excluded in the next update unfortunately. Let's not forget that playing videos in the background is a feature of YouTube Red, which is a paid subscription based service. As this free feature makes paying for the same thing on the YouTube app unnecessary and both are owned by Google... you can do the math.

Galaxy S6

Latest Samsung's flagship devices were quite successful in terms of sales and build quality, as the Korean Giant is finally switching from Plastic to Metal, just like HTC. Various reports on the Web claim that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 will be redesigned from scratch to keep the Korean OEM on top in terms of sales. Today, we also got its main Preliminary Specifications!

The Chinese portal cnmo.com suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S6 might have already been spotted in the AnTuTu benchmark. The numbers shown in the leaked screenshot show that the Samsung Galaxy S6 may contain a 5.5-inch display with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. And if the screenshot is correct, it appears that Samsung will make use of the 64-bit architecture.

The Galaxy S6 might ship with the 1.8 GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 CPU. It also could feature an ARM Mali-T760 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage. The S6 may have a 20-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung will annouce the device on Early 2015 and set for release later Q1,2015 if all goes well.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Specs [Leaked]

Unless you are living in a cave or some deserted island, you probably know that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 did not pan out well after defective batteries in some of the units started to explode soon after the sales began. The good news is that Samsung acknowledged the problem fast and issued a global recall of the 2.5 million devices that it had sold so far. However, the process has not been very smooth as only 130,000 units have been replaced/refunded so far out of the one million devices sold in the US. In order to highlight the importance of the matter, Tim Baxter, the president of Samsung Mobiles US, has apologised and stressed on the graveness of the subject through an official video. Here are a few important excerpts from his speech of apology to the customers.

"...and with battery cell defects on some of our Note 7 phones, we did not meet the standard of excellence that you expect and deserve. For that, we apologise, especially to those of you who were personally affected by this."

"The CPSC has worked closely with us to develop, expedite, and execute a plan to protect American users. We notified them of a potential defect in the original Note 7 batteries, then issued a global directive to stop sales immediately. To date, we already have exchanged 130,000 units. A fast and meaningful start."

"We will continue implementing corrective steps to exchange every single Note 7 on the market," Baxter continued. He also reiterated that the exchange process is an adequate solution to the ongoing problem. "To be clear, the Note 7 with the new battery is safe... This finding has been affirmed by a recognized, independent, lithium battery expert."

"To our Note 7 owners: if you have not yet replaced your original Note 7, please, please, power it down and return it."

"New Note 7 phones will be available for exchange no later than next Wednesday."

While it still is a huge blunder, one must admit that Samsung is showing a lot of class in the way that they are handling the entire situation.

According to a report by SamMobile, the Bixby button can be reprogrammed to do something other than just opening Samsung's brand new AI assistant Bixby. In spite of Samsung's constant advertising of Bixby, the truth is that it can't really do much that the Google Assistant can't do already and better. There's of course the image recognition capability where if you click a picture of an object, Bixby shows you multiple options to buy it online, but that's practically the only significant feature that's unique. We will have to wait and see what other features Samsung brings to the software with updates of course. In the meanwhile, if you are satisfied with using Google Assistant and you would like the hardware button to be used as a shortcut to something else like the camera or your favourite app, people have actually found an unofficial way to do so.

You will have to download an app from the Google Play Store called All in One Gestures. There's even a convincing video on the entire process and you will find it below. We were disappointed when Samsung did not give us the option to change the button mapping by default and frankly, that made no sense from the point of view of the consumer. However, we are happy that though it will require a third party application, at least it can be done!

All photos and videos sent via Snapchat self-destructs automatically within 1 to 10 seconds, depending on the sender's choice. While that's essentially a good thing for privacy purposes, minors all over the world has been found to use this feature for swapping nudes and other images of sexual nature. As a parent, that's a very alarming thought to have, especially since it's virtually impossible to find out what your children are up to because of the self-destruct feature. "Virtually impossible" being the keyword, the good news for parents is that it is actually possible to use any of the top Snapchat spy software to monitor the activities of your children on the social networking platform, without them ever finding out about it.

How Does It Work?

The Cocoscopy cell phone tracker will need to be downloaded onto the target phone first, but once the download is complete and everything is set up, your child will have no idea that the app exists because it doesn't leave any trace behind, making it completely invisible to everyone else. The spy app will also have a client on the parent's phone which will simply mirror everything that's going on there in the target phone, enabling the parents to keep an eye on everything that their children are doing via social media, email, text messaging or even voice and video calls.

Is It Legal?

As long as the target phone belongs to a minor and it's the guardians who are installing the Android spy app online, it is legal. Using it on adults without their permission though, is most certainly illegal, except when the adults are employees under contract and the phones in question, were provided by the employer. The potential for unethical use of these spy apps is certainly there, but the potential of vulnerable teens making disastrous mistakes on Snapchat are much greater
