OnePlus is the pioneer in bringing flagship grade smartphones at an affordable price and unlike most other Chinese vendors who flood the market with offerings in every price segment, they stick to releasing one or two smartphones per year. This year, OnePlus is rumoured to release a second more powerful version of its OnePlus 3, aka the OnePlus 3T. While there have been no official confirmation regarding the handset, rumors are going haywire. Here's a short overview of what we have heard so far.

Improvements:

Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC will replace the older SD 820
Upgraded Sony IMX395 16-mp camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and dual-core autofocus
Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed.

Pricing

According to Evan Blass (@evleaks), the OnePlus 3T will be priced at $80 more than the original OnePlus 3. If that is indeed the case then the 64GB version of the 3T might just be priced at $480.

Release Date

Rumors suggest that the OnePlus 3T will see the light of day in December and we tend to agree. A December release would mean a six-month gap in-between both the older OnePlus 3 and the upcoming OnePlus 4. There's also the Holiday season coming up, so December does seem quite likely, provided such a device actually exists of course!

Anyone who isn't familiar with the business relationship that the two companies actually share will probably assume that Apple and Samsung are the worst of enemies. Although that statement wouldn't really be off by much, the truth is that the two giants have had multiple business relationships for years now, in spite of all the controversies and lawsuits in-between them. For example, the rigid OLED panel used in making the innovative touch bar for the new range of Apple MacBook Pros is a product supplied from the A2 line of Samsung Displays.

The reason as to why Apple chose OLED over LCD for making the touch bar lies in the fact that OLED panels are considerably slimmer than LCD panels (three times approximately). Another report indicates that even the Driver IC used to bond the touch bar to the MacBook was supplied by System LSI division of the Korean tech giant. There is no doubt that OLED is the next step in terms of display evolution as they consume less power, produce better colors and have a lower response time than LCD. In fact, most smartphones have been predicted to switch over to OLED panels by 2018. Once you consider that Samsung is the largest OLED panel manufacturer in the world, the future does seem bright for them.

We reported yesterday that the Galaxy S6 Edge + in Europe has started to receive the October patch and today we have even more good news for our readers in Europe as the S6 Edge has now also started to receive the same. The update will only be available on unlocked versions of the S6 Edge in Europe as you already know, so if you have a contract with a carrier, you will have to wait till a carrier specific version of the October patch arrives on your handset.

The update will fix 68 bugs/susceptibilities found on all Android 6.0.1 powered handsets, along with Samsung's own unique set of fixes for bugs exclusive to the range. The only thing we really know about the unique fixes which Samsung will bring with this update is the fact that it will solve an issue which causes the S6 Edge to hang at times while attempting to switch from one app to another. The rest of it is largely undisclosed in order to stop the hackers and cyber criminals from exploiting those gaps in security on the units that have not yet been updated.

Poker is one of the simplest games to play. As long as you've got a pack of cards, a couple of other players and something to use as poker chips, there are few games as easy and quick to learn. But there are going to be occasions when you don't have any of those three essential things, and that's where mobile poker steps in to save the day. While the social aspect of live poker games is undoubtedly fun, the truth is there is a host of benefits to playing poker online rather than live. And with smartphones now better equipped than ever for gaming and allowing us to access all sorts of games from wherever we are, if you're a poker fan who hasn't explored the mobile world, you're really missing out.

Here are some of the biggest benefits of playing poker on the go.

Accessibility

Perhaps the most obvious benefit of mobile gaming as a whole is accessibility. This is certainly the case when it comes to mobile poker. While some will be fans of the number of games on offer from mobile poker sites and apps or the expert poker strategy tips available, being able to pick up a phone and access a number of tables within seconds is what really sets mobile poker apart from the way people have traditionally played the game. And if you want to change games or move to another table, this can be done almost instantly, as can accessing your winnings and making a withdrawal - no more waiting to cash in your chips and then having to pay them into your bank.

Options

We all like options, whether it comes to consumer items such as phones and cars or entertainment like TV series and games. This is the same with mobile poker: from the cost to buy into a game to the type of poker being played, gambling on the go gives you plenty of options. Whether you're looking to enter into a tournament or just join a sit-and-go table, play Texas Hold'em or Omaha, with mobile poker you can take your pick from the same range of games as you'd get on your desktop. There is also the option of playing with real money or practising with play money, which allows you to get confident with a game before committing real cash to it.

Security

While in the early days of mobile poker, some may have questioned the safety and security involved, making a transaction with the most established mobile poker sites is now viewed as being more secure than ordering a pizza or paying for petrol. Utilising sophisticated RSA public/private key encryption technology helps ensure sensitive data is transferred securely over the internet, with all card details stored on the cloud by the most cutting-edge firewall system. From making deposits to placing bets and ultimately withdrawing winnings, the whole process is both simple and secure with mobile poker - giving you peace of mind when playing a hand while waiting for the bus.
