Koh Dong-jin, also known as DJ Koh is the President of Samsung Mobiles and he seems to be on top of the news recently with authentic "leaks." Not that we can really call them leaks, given that he is the boss himself! In spite of the rumors stating that late August would be the date for the Note 8's launch, there was no official word on it until today. During his travel within Asia for the purposes of the Galaxy Note 8's release, he has stated that the Note 8 will be launched in August and released in the UK, US and other specific nations in September. There will also be an unlucky list of countries that will have to wait till October to get the device.
While at this point we more or less know all that there is to know about the Galaxy Note 8, it would be interesting to see if Bixby Voice makes it onto the handset by the time it's released. Keep in mind that we are talking about the English speaking countries because the voice functionalities of Bixby are already working fine in South Korea on the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Samsung's latest and greatest Galaxy S8 flagship handsets are all over our daily firmware updates today but the Galaxy Note 5 is on top of the list. However, do take a look at the Tutorial on how to flash ROMs safely with Odin3 first.
Any handset released in 2017 is expected to at least run on Android Nougat v7.0 and above, but that wasn't the case with Samsung's Galaxy A branded smartphones of 2017. Instead, when they came out, they were running on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1; a version of Android that while isn't old enough yet to be called backdated, is still over two years old at this point of time. The good news is that although late, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) will both be getting their respective versions of the Android Nougat firmware officially from Samsung soon.
Both the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) has been spotted running on Nougat 7.0, merely hours earlier at the Wi-Fi Alliance website for certification purposes. This is a clear indication that the updates are just about to be rolled out to the Galaxy A smartphones for 2017. If you own one, keep that Wi-Fi fired up!

Famous leakster Ice universe (@universeice) is more often right than wrong when it comes to smartphone leaks, but what he is showing us here is a bit hard to swallow. Not that it depicts anything that's downright absurd like a holographic keyboard or a 4K display mind you! And before you start pointing out to Sony's Xperia XZ Premium which sports an excellent 4K panel, let me assure you that it isn't going to happen with the Galaxy Note 8. What is surprising and feels wrong about the Note 8 render here is the large bezel size; something that is almost reminiscent of the Galaxy Note 7 than the Galaxy S8 Plus.
We are not saying that it cannot be so, but if Samsung decides to opt for larger bezels after being praised so much for the design language of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, it would indeed be very surprising! Nevertheless, this isn't the first time that we are seeing a render such as this one, so it could very well be the situation this year after all. I guess we will find out soon enough.
