Mobile gambling is on the rise in the UK, with an estimated 51% of all online punters now wagering through their smartphone or tablet.

This number is set to increase incrementally over the course of the next decade, as the mobile gaming sector benefits from a number of cutting-edge trends and new technologies.

But what exactly are these trends, and how will they continue to impact on mobile gambling for the remainder of 2019 and beyond?

  1. The Continued Diversification of Live Casino Platforms

As mobile gambling continues to rise, so too has the popularity of live and real-time wagering.

This has also triggered the diversification of the live casino vertical, which has historically been dominated by traditional games such as roulette, blackjack and baccarat. However, pioneering development teams are now creating a wider range of real-time games, whilst also improving the authenticity of interactive dealers.

Market leading software houses like Evolution Gaming and NetEnt are driving this trend, as they continue to focus on the range and the pace of games that they provide in real-time.

As part of this evolution, developers are also creating a wider range of unique and three-dimensional camera angles, which deliver an increasingly immersive experience to players across the board.

  1. The Age of the No-deposit Bonus

The nature of welcome offers has continued to change throughout the years, with operators initially focused on providing huge deposit-matches of up to 400% in some instances.

The trend has changed in recent times, however, with players having become wise to the impact of wagering requirements and the conditions attached to such bonuses. The UK Gambling Commission has also clamped down on bonus terms and wagering requirements, creating considerably cynicism within the marketplace.

In the modern age, operators are increasingly likely to incentivise players by offering them a no-deposit. This type of package is not dependent on you crediting your account with a minimum sum of cash, whilst you can also keep what you win mobile casino no deposit bonus.

We're likely to see a rising number of these bonuses hit the market in the coming months, particularly as more operators enter the iGaming space and the level of competitiveness rises incrementally.

  1. The Rise of Cryptocurrency

Whilst Bitcoin may be the poster boy for cryptocurrencies, there are other coins and tokens available in what's fast becoming one of the world's fastest-growing marketplaces.

We've even seen the rise of so-called stable currencies in recent times, with these tokens pegged to fiat currencies like the U.S. Dollar in order to minimise volatility and optimise potential applications.

Immersive cryptocurrency platforms like Etherium offer a particularly relevant range of bonuses to players, as they provide secure channels through which individuals can fund their bankroll whilst also protecting their anonymity.

Remember, cryptocurrencies are powered by blockchain and have no direct link to your bank or credit card accounts. They also offer far greater levels of transparency to users, as each transaction is stored publicly and sits outside the control of a central authority.

With the growing popularity of mobile devices, people all over the world are becoming more transient. They are no longer tied to their homes and workplaces by computers and the need for internet access. The fact is people can get and do everything they want for anywhere at any time with a mobile device. They can purchase products and services, watch movies, read the latest news and even go hunting for a new life-partner without having to put down their smart phones and tablets.

There's something else people can do with their mobile devices. All over the world, people are now able to play real games of chance for real cash while on the go. That's right, many countries throughout the world now allow adult residents to play casino games and the lottery, bet on horses and wager on sports events through a mobile device. Imagine that. Mobile sports bettors can visit an online sports book like https://sbobet.gclub-casino.com where they can easily place a wager on their favorite team without leaving the coffee shop.

The Mobile Gambling Phenomenon

Mobile gambling was first introduced about 10 years ago. Initially, the growth trajectory for mobile gambling was narrow and slow because of technological restrictions. Online sports books were usable because they require little functionality, but online casinos weren't able to create the same excitement as the sister websites. Software developers simply had too much difficulty creating a viable online gambling environment with the software development tools that were available back in the day. When HTML5 became an industry standard software development tool about 5-6 years ago, online casino software geniuses were released to work their magic.

With the cooperation of new innovations in technology, mobile apps are being created to closely emulate its sister websites. There has been a noticeable increase in the quality of online games, the functionality of the video slot bonus features and the availability of banking options and bonus promotions.

What has resulted is nothing short of phenomenal.  Over the last five years, the percentage of online gamblers who have opted to gamble with their mobile devices has increased to 50%. Experts expect that number to increase to as high as 80% by the end of the decade. Money aside, the real winners are the operators who want to reach millions of customers and the customers who can now play casino games or bet on sports when it's convenient to them.

What's All the Fuss?

The biggest two reasons why more people aren't haven't been willing to give gambling a go have been accessibility and the legalities of doing so. First, it's not convenient for most people to visit a land-based casino. The travel and accommodation costs alone act as a deterrent. That's a real shame for adults who have a little extra disposable income for entertainment and are tired of going to the movies. As far as the legalities of gambling, many countries have been slow to recognize that the negative aspects of gambling have been exaggerated and that in fact, gambling is a wonderful form of entertainment for adults who can behave responsibly.

The good news is many countries are starting to loosen its grip on the gambling industry. We are seeing countries in Asia, Europe and South America opening the doors for its residents to both land-based casinos and online gambling. The same is true of many states in America where gamblers can now legally enjoy any form of gambling without having to visit Las Vegas or Atlantic City.

The really good news has been the acceptance of mobile gambling in conjunction with the change in attitude towards gambling in general. Now, many adults in countries all over the world with a mobile device that runs on popular operating systems like iOS, Android and Windows Mobile have access to the wonderful world of mobile gambling.

While standing in line at the grocery or have a cup a coffer at the local coffee shop, it takes nothing more than a good internet/data connection for the recreational gambler to dial up their favorite online casino and play Blackjack or video slots.

It used to be that anyone who was laughing and smiling while using their mobile device was most likely talking to a new love interest. Nowadays, it just as likely the individual hit a big jackpot and are laughing about where to spend their newfound money.

The door to a fun and exciting form of adult entertainment is opening wide.

switch-lite-vsswitch

Even at the risk of being ostracized by the huge list of fans who love their Nintendo Switch, I must say that the Switch Lite is a big letdown. Before you reach for your pitchforks, at least go through what I have to say. At the end of reading this article, some of you might actually agree with me.

Why the Lite Version Makes NO Sense

The Switch is already powered by hardware that's aging for even mobile gaming, since the current gen SD 855, Kirin 980 and the Exynos 9820 found inside the flagship handsets are multiple times more powerful than the Tegra X1 chip powering the Switch. As far as fully fledged consoles such as the Xbox One X or PS4 Pro are concerned, the comparison is not even fair.

However, all of that that wasn't a problem because of Nintendo's exclusive and an absolutely fascinating game collection. Aside from that, I personally, always considered the Switch to be a handheld gaming console, rather than something you would connect to the big screen.

Unfortunately, there comes a time, when the developers have to downgrade everything within a game, just to make it run on outdated hardware. Whether that time has come for the Switch or not, is a debatable affair, but with the release of a new iteration, one would think that Nintendo would upgrade the hardware.

Instead of taking that logical and happily anticipated step, Nintendo has downgraded everything about the external hardware and has even put in the same, old and outdated chip to power it all.

The Pros and Cons List

If you have any doubts about my conclusion, just check the pros and cons list, then verify it on the web.

Pros

·        It's about $100 cheaper (officially)

·        Slightly better battery life

Cons

·        Smaller screen size (5.5")

·        Negligible weight difference, unless a .27lbs/.12kg difference matters to you!

·        The Switch Lite isn't compatible with all games

·        You can't use a dock to connect it to the TV

·        The controllers are non-detachable and therefore, harder to replace or repair, if not impossible

·        No IR motion camera, HD Rumble or even the kickstand!

·        Uses the same outdated chip, slow USB-C charger and port, 720p resolution LCD and 32GB internal storage with micro-SD slot

·        Bluetooth connectivity is also not added to the "new" console

The question is, are you willing to sacrifice so much to save $100? Especially when discounted options are often there for the full sized console, which will easily shave off at least $25 from the original price.

Stay away from the Nintendo Switch Lite if you already have a Switch and if you don't have one yet, just spend the extra $70 - $90 and get the original! The Switch Lite is cash grab and we expect better from Nintendo.

Technology has made it possible to gamble almost anywhere at any time in the world. The emergence of several online payment systems and PayPal casinos has also facilitated the growth of best casino sites. Long gone are the days of incurring extravagant travel expenses, just to arrive in Vegas to wait in line to pop into the grand casinos.

Microgaming paved the way for this magical era. With their initial invention of the very first gambling software, a new movement was born. A whole new series of casinos, online games and gambling channels emerged right after.

However, as they say, there's no rose without a thorn. Many gamblers have tarnished the beauty of online gambling by employing strategies and tactics that are downright unacceptable. They have destroyed the overall perception of online gambling with their actions. It is with great regret that we have to highlight the despicable tactics, gamblers have to leave behind in 2018. Here's the full list.

1) Chasing Losses

Players get motivated to place more bets after a series of losses to "make up" for them. You would think there's an unwritten law that says, ‘You shall continue gambling after a losing streak, your money will all come back!'. The amount of gamblers who chase losses is astonishing. Well, we get it, it's only human nature to try to get back anything that is lost.

But, this doesn't work well in gambling. If you are having a losing streak, it doesn't mean you should continue playing to get your money back. You will probably end up losing way more money. Although it is possible to win back your losses, after a losing streak you won't be in the right head state to assess risks thoroughly and make wise decisions. Therefore,  you should probably close the game and the casino and focus on something else. Let bygones be bygones. This way you will stay within your spending budget and still have some money left for another day.

2) Compulsive Gambling

Statistics indicate that about 85% of all compulsive gamblers lose their money. It comes as no surprise most people who make drastic decisions in the gambling realm end up in tragedy. If you are a gambler who feels like the problem of money suddenly disappears once you hear the colossal risk and possible returns of the game, then you are probably betting on impulse as a compulsive gambler.

Again, gamblers at times disregard entirely the value of what is being risked. If you notice yourself more concerned about the game rather than the stakes, then you're probably also suffering from compulsive online gambling. This is when you know there's a problem and you need to stop.

The flashy lights, potential wins and thrill of setting wagers can be mind-blowing. Gambling is meant to be fun, and that is exactly what developers do. They create exciting slots, poker variations, baccarat options and bingo games that not only attract players but also keep them there.

Unfortunately, some people end up getting lost in this whole new world of online casinos. They choose to gamble over everyday life responsibilities making it a priority. Just like drugs, gambling can be addictive. Even worse, the number of kids addicted to gambling between the age of 11 and 16 has significantly risen to 55,000 in just two years.

If you think you may have a problem or notice a close friend or relative is addicted, seek relevant help as soon as you can. Gambling addiction is such a big problem that governments all over the world have opened up centres to guide and help victims change their lives and recover.

3) Playing on the Wrong Casinos

The very first move every player should make is determining the authenticity of a website. With hundreds if not thousands of fraudulent sites, it's important to thoroughly check through the licenses, jurisdictions and legal documents of any casino. Most casinos have all the details on their home pages or About Us section. Protect your investments in 2019 by choosing secure and legal online casinos.

4) Playing Games You Don't Understand

If you decide to play poker today for real money, and you don't have a clue on how to play the game, you will lose miserably. Well, unless you are very lucky. Casino games have demo versions and instructions for a reason. Play the free game options for a while up until you grasp the concepts of the game. If you still don't, Google is your friend. You will find several tutorials and ‘how to play guides' online for free; use them.

5) Using the Wrong Strategy

Many players use the wrong strategies when playing. The most common is speculation when it comes to slots. These strategies involve creating patterns and false predictions of outcomes. When it comes to slots, the RTP is what determines the outcome; wins are so random that no cheats or speculative strategies can be employed successfully. In roulette most people try to use number tracking; this involves noting down hot and cold numbers to predict the next hit.

This process is entirely useless as every roulette spin is 100% independent unless you are playing an unfair game. The other strategy that is also quite popular is the martingale system. This is where if a player loses, they double up the bet in the next wager.

So if they lose EUR 10, they wager out EUR 20 in the next round. Many people debate this strategy works, and some argue it doesn't. All in all, we can conclude that in the long run, it ends up being very expensive. Going back to our example; losing the sixth time would result in a EUR 320 bet in the seventh round if this strategy is employed.

It's about time gamblers stopped these tactics and techniques that have proven to be ineffective. Let's stop the menace and embrace techniques that protect us and save us money.

We live in an age where iGaming and sports betting is now omnipresent and the development of new technology has certainly helped to bring online gaming right into the consumer mainstream.

This is borne out by the statistics too, with a growing percentage of most sports audiences known to wager regularly as part of the experience. This includes 76.8% of football fans according to one report, the vast majority of which are increasingly engaged with real-time and in-play markets.

Online betting is becoming an increasingly scientific practice, however, which is why fans are turning to specific technology such as betting calculators to identify value in specific odds and wager types.

If you're a would be better, or just want to explore some different tools and strategies when you place a bet on your favourite team, ere are three of the best tools to help you on your way:
