Next Sunday is going to be the hottest day in the Year, Both Samsung and HTC will held a major pre-MWC launch events on the same day just couple of hours apart in Barcelona, Spain. Both companies revealed the live streaming details and we gather them all in One place for you.

Samsung Event will come first on Sunday, the Korean giant will Live Stream the event via its official YouTube channel, Here's the Timeline scheduled for the event to start:

Next time you are using Wi-Fi on your cellphone, or connected to a 4G LTE signal, keep in mind that the person you need to thank for these innovations is an actress who received a patent in 1942 for "spread spectrum technology" that is currently used in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G LTE technology. The actress was born in Austria as Hedwig Kiesler and you might know her as Hedy Lamarr.

Besides her talents as an actress, Lamarr happened to be born with an incredible mind. After marrying one of the richest men in Austria, Friedrich Mandl, she would end up at her husband's side as he would have dinner with men like Hitler and Mussolini. Mandl was the largest arms manufacturer in Austria and the topic at the dinner table would sometimes revolve around radio-controlled missiles and torpedoes.

While pretending to be bored at these dinners, Lamarr actually soaked up the information. After running off to America, she became one of the country's biggest movie stars toiling for MGM during the 1940's. But at the same time, she developed a wireless communication system that couldn't be jammed. Her goal was to help the Allies defeat the Nazis. Back then, most wireless systems used one frequency which made it easy to block. The actress came up with a way for the message to be sent over another frequency if the original one was jammed. "Frequency hopping" was the term that was used to describe the technology.

Some of the carriers around the workd has just starte offering 4G services in their regions. Well, Japanese carrier NTT DocoMo is already developing the 5th Generation Mobile Network (5G), Samsung and Nokia will participate in the Test of this 5G Network. Samsung announced that 5G would be ready for the public by 2020 and we will starting to see 5G devices in the market by 2021.

The testing will involve the usefulness of running 5G speeds on high frequency bands above 6GHz. 5G involves data-transmission at a high-speed of 10Gbps, which is 1000 times the capacity of current 4G LTE. The test will determine how well this frequency will support 10Gbps, even if a large number of devices are trying to connect to the network at the same time, in a small area.

NTT Docomo will be testing the 5G Netwrok through this year, inside at its R&D Center in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. Outdoor trials will begin by next year.

This Year we will see the first DDR4-powered Smartphones. Starting with the LG G Flex 2 that was announced a few weeks ago with a 3GB DDR4 RAM chip. SK Hynix, which makes the 20nm 8 Gigabit LPDDR4 chip that is paired with Snapdragon 810 SoC in the G Flex 2, bragged about this crowning achievement, saying that DDR4 memory has double the throughput of DDR3, with smaller operating voltage and more power efficiency.

On March,1st we will add another DDR4-powered Smartphone to the list, Samsung Galaxy S6, which is expected to pack a 4GB / 3GB DDR4 RAM chipset. These two Smartphones will lead the market this year and we expect to see higher RAM sizes on Tablets and Smartphones released on the 2nd Half of this Year (4GB - 5GB). Let's wait and see...

Today, at an investors event in New York City, Corning announced that it is working on a scratch-resistant glass that will be Rival to Sapphire. The Project will be named "Phire" and the new material will become available to manufacturers later this year.

Project Phire is said to combine the best qualities of Corning Gorilla Glass and sapphire. According to a Corning executive, the material "offers the same superior damage resistance and drop performance of Gorilla Glass 4 with scratch resistance that approaches sapphire."

As sturdy as it is, Corning Gorilla Glass does not handle scratches as easily as sapphire. The company's latest Gorilla Glass 4, despite being much more damage-resistant than its predecessor, is still prone to scuffs. Corning took notice of its creation's shortcoming last year, when talk about Apple's use of sapphire glass in iPhone 6 heated up. The Cupertino giant's smartphones currently rely on Gorilla Glass for out of the box screen protection.
