Android Lollipop

As Google released the Android SDK 5.0 with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop version, we now have all the wallpapers from the system dumb. Android lollipop have 11 stock wallpapers that looks pretty awesome and fit great with the Material Design UI.

Most of the wallpapers has a height of 2560 pixels and a width that varies between 2323 and 3808. Still, they should all be large and tall enough to fit on both the Nexus 6 and 9, and all other modern Smartphones and Tablets. You can Download all the 11 Lollipop Wallpapers on the [.ZIP] file below.

Android L

Google released a New Android 5.0 Lollipop preview images for both the Nexus 5 and the 2013 Nexus 7. The new developer preview is based on build LPX13D with the New API 21.

Right now it's not clear what's new in the just-published images, but hopefully they'll show an Android 5.0 release that's almost finished. That said, they don't represent the final bits of Lollipop, and they're bound to still have some bugs. Hence, if you're not a developer, you should probably stay away from them, and wait for the official software to start rolling out.

Hopefully, the final version of Android Lollipop will be released by the end of this Month, before the release of the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.

Lollipop

It has been the hot thing to make kill switches for phones recently. Carriers have been asked by government agencies to do it, states are passing laws to require it, Apple did it, and now Google is implementing it in Android 5.0, Lollipop will come with an opt-in "Factory Reset Protection" option that keeps a thief from being able to wipe your phone, making it a less appealing target in the first place.

If you activate this feature, your Google login will be required to factory reset the phone or tablet. Presumably this will also prevent factory resets through recovery-otherwise it would be pretty useless. A secure lock screen of some sort will be required for this feature as well. The feature will be built-in on all Android Lollipop.

HTC Nexus 9

Here we go, the first Hands-on Video of the HTC Nexus 9 is now online, from Vietnam. The video doesn't only show us the Amazing sleek Nexus 9 frame but also the new Android 5.0 Lollipop new User Interface for tablets along with New App drawer, notifications, icons and lock screen.

Despite repeating most of the shots and only featuring the Nexus 9 from afar or with the screen turned off most times, the video still manages to sneak in a few new bits of information. First is the Google Fit icon in the drawer, indicating that Google's fitness hub will finally see its own app launch with Android Lollipop, and second is that entirely new app drawer.

It pops with a nice animation on top of the homescreen, doesn't seem to take up the entirety of the screen, and offers a new cleaner white background. Check out the Video Below!

SDK 5.0

Android Developers are very excited as the Android Lollipop is going out of beta. Tomorrow (October 17th) Google will release the official Android SDK 5.0 and will be available for download in the SDK manager.

Developers will be able to play around with features in Lollipop like the new camera API, JobScheduler, and a ton of performance improvements. Getting the final SDK is the first step in making sure apps are completely ready to run on real Android Lollipop devices, as opposed to the preview.
