A company called ecoATM recently conducted a survey of 1,050 Apple iPhone owners age 18 or older.

This survey revealed that most of the respondents are very loyal to their current iPhone. When asked what new feature would make them switch from their current handset to the Samsung Galaxy S6, 26% said that nothing could get them to swap their current handset for the new S6 flagship. 32% said that a lower price point for the Galaxy S6 could entice them to switch.

What would it take for an Apple iPhone owner to switch to a Samsung phone?

According to the same survey, 24% would do it if it were a free swap, and 16% would make the trade if the Samsung handset was offered to them at a lower price point. Outside of pricing, 21% would swap their iPhone for a Samsung branded smartphone based on the latter having a longer battery life. 18% would do it for a larger screen-size and 3% would make the change if they saw a celebrity using a Samsung phone. By the way, 16% of iPhone users surveyed said that they would never exchange their iPhone for another smartphone under any condition.

So what is it that prevents iPhone users from switching to a new phone?

A quarter of the respondents with an iPhone said that the fact that their friends and family have one is a reason not to switch. 21% cite the better features on the device as the reason why they stay with it, while 19% say they exclusively use Apple products.

s6 brown

The Samsung Galaxy S6 was launched in 4 different colors (White, Black, Blue and Gold Platinum) and they all will be available in stock by April,10th. Now, Samsung UK's web site lists the Galaxy S6 in five colors, instead of the official four.

The fifth option is "Dark Brown", it also cannot be clicked and disappears if you navigate away from the specific page in the source link. There isn't even an image of the device in Brown.

Gold platinum

So, publishing the Brown color option was certainly a mistake. Its existence might be for real though. There's no trace of it on other local Samsung sites, suggesting it may be a UK carrier exclusive. The Galaxy S6 edge does not have a fifth color either, at least not yet.

This Huge demand have surprised even the company itself, Samsung decided to increase production to meet the demand. Korean publication Etnews reports that the initial plans were for 12 million units total 8 million of the Galaxy S6 and 4 million of the S6 edge. The total number has been revised to 13 million.

Of those, 4 million Galaxy S6 units will roll off the assembly lines this month along with 1 million Galaxy S6. Those will be followed by the April production run, which will bring the total to 13 million. This means some carriers may need to delay the launch of the S6 flagship duo and even if they don't the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge will be in limited supply at launch time.

s6 battery

In order to make the Galaxy S6 / Galaxy S6 Edge premium build design a full-metal unibody sleek design, Samsung had to sacrifice the user-replaceable battery and the micro SD slot as well, the un-removable battery is annoying to most of the users, So we decided to publish Samsung's official Instructions on How to safely remove the Galaxy S6 Battery. The instructions are on the PDF file on the source link below.

The step-by-step instruction is somewhat vague in the beginning with step 2 being simply Remove the back cover. Experience from previous smartphones with similar construction points to a heated-air gun to melt the double-sided adhesive and guitar picks to separate the panel, all accompanied by an appropriate amount of patience.

Once that's out of the way, no less than 13 screws need to be undone to remove a circuit board allowing access to the battery. To sum it all up, the possibility is there, but you wouldn't want to do it yourself, and certainly not on a daily basis.

S6 Active

Samsung is preparing for a new Galaxy S6 variant, as the Korean giant used to with every new flagship, it will get an "Active" version with tougher build. Today, Samsung Galaxy S6 Active SM-G890A has been spotted on Samsung's official User agent profile website... this still only a rumor thought.

This rumor isn't really backed-up by much information and for now the sole thing that hints at the Galaxy S6 Active is the model number. The mystery device is branded as SM-G890A, which some people speculate is very similar to the model number of the AT&T version of the S56 Active, namely SM-G870A.
