Nexus 6

After too many unofficial leaks, the Motorola Nexus 6 appeared on AT&T's website today with a wrong picture of an LG device beside it (lol).

The Nexus 6 name popped up in the "people also viewed" section of the LG G3 Vigor page on the carrier's website. The link however, takes us to the list of available Motorola smartphones on AT&T that includes the first and second generation Moto X and the Moto G 4G.

The Nexus 6 link shows a potential $49.99 on-contract price tag, though we doubt that it will be what AT&T and Motorola are going to ask for the handset. Considering the LG thumb on the listing, we reckon that the price tag is also a leftover.

Ladies and Gentlemen, It's Here, the first official photo render of the upcoming Motorola Nexus 6 courtesy of the popular leaker @evleaks.

Today, @evleaks tweeted a photo of the Nexus 6 showing us the upcoming long-waited release, Google is expected to release this device this month to be available on all stores worldwide by early November.

As you can see the Android L UI on the Photo along with the new Material Design Icons. The Nexus 6 will pack a 5.9" QHD display with 13MP camera along and probably SD 805 CPU with Adreno 420 GPU and 2GB Ram but all these specs are still not-confirmed.

The Wall Street Journal today is reporting that Google will launch a 5.9-inch Nexus smartphone sometime later this month. Of course, this is what we've been hearing for quite a while now, so the report is far from being surprising but it's still good to see more reliable sources confirming the arrival of a new Nexus.

As mentioned many times before, the upcoming device codenamed Shamu is manufactured by Motorola, and will be the most advanced Nexus handset yet.

Its 5.9-inch display will have 1440 x 2560 pixels, while other features should include a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB RAM, 12 MP rear camera, and a 3200 mAh battery.

HTC Nexus 9

Where's smoke there must be fire: Google's next Nexus tablet is coming and it will arrive under the Nexus 9 moniker with an official unveiling on October 15th and a release date on November 3rd, retailing for a price of $399, according to inside sources speaking for Brightsideofnews.com.

The Nexus 9 is expected to feature a very high resolution and be powered by Nvidia's Tegra K1 system chip. There's no clarity whether we'd see the quad-core 32-bit version of the K1 chip or the dual-core 64-bit version. We do know, however, that Nvidia dropped the following hint on its blog:

"And for hard-core Android fans, take note that we're already developing the next version of Android L on the 64-bit Tegra K1." - Nvidia

The higher, $399 price is also a bit of a surprise given that Google's last two 7-inch tablets were priced around the $200 price point, so this time around, it's clear that the company is gunning for a more high-end device.

More details of the Motorola Nexus 6 (codenamed Shamu) have appeared through the Geekbench benchmark database as well as thanks to a couple of CPU-Z screenshot posted on Twitter.

The 5.9" Nexus 6 managed a multi-core Geekbench score of 3199, which is more than the score of both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The high result is thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a 2.65GHz quad-core Krait 450 CPU inside and 3GB RAM.

Furthermore, the Nexus 6 comes with QHD resolution resulting in a 496ppi pixel density. The high-end specs sheet also features a 13MP camera with OIS and a dual-flash ring configuration akin to the Motorola Moto X (2014). The battery is rumored to have a capacity of about 3,200mAh, but won't be removable.

This isn't the first time we see the Nexus 6 go through a benchmark. The phone also went through the GFXBench, which tested its Adreno 420 GPU. Needless to say, the phone did quite well. Android L is going to debut on the phone, as goes the tradition with new Android releases.
